      it's a good complimentary lift meaning if you get good with bells it can carry over and improve other barbell and dumbbell lifts. Try a single arm overhead press with 24 kg or above. The movement pattern is the most natural for the shoulder and definitely builds muscle.

    The problem is that kettlebells rarely go that heavy. Especially for lower body movements it's too light for a lot of people

    • @mclcr4053
      @mclcr4053 10 месяцев назад

      Rogue has them all the way up to 203lbs. If Mike Tyson can build his physique with no weights while burning through insane amounts of cardio, 406lbs will do the trick just fine. Unless you’re on gear going for the Ronnie Coleman look.

    • @morrisboris6877
      @morrisboris6877 4 месяца назад

      Have you tried using one on each hand? Kettlebells don't need to be excessively heavy. You can always add a resistance band if you want more weight, or do more reps and sets.

    Best way to work on your core

    • @morrisboris6877
      @morrisboris6877 4 месяца назад

      Wrong. You need a strong core to do heavier lifting and advanced moves like the snatch. KBs won't develop your core. Suspension training will do that. I did only suspension training for a year, before moving to kettlebell. And I was able to progress from the light bells to the heavy ones in a short amount of time.
      Unless, by core, you mistakenly think it's your abs. The core is the stabilizer muscles that keep you balanced when you move.

    The thing I hate about kettlebells the most is dragging them out of the rack over to where I'm going to use them, and dragging them back and hoicking them back in. Other than that, love them.

    • @morrisboris6877
      @morrisboris6877 4 месяца назад

      Get yourself a dolly. Or get the gym folks to move them closer to where you workout with them. I have to deal with the newbies hogging the bells for farmers walk or as a handle for pushups.

    KB’s are excellent for burning fat and hitting every muscle in a few moves but I do believe you need free weights as well.

  • @typicallyvirgo
    @typicallyvirgo Год назад

    I plan to start using KBs from next week - ordered them online - 35 pounds each - I have had a bit of wrist history - are KBs going to take a bigger toll on the wrists? Do they really make the workout safer or decrease the stress on the back?

    • @morrisboris6877
      @morrisboris6877 4 месяца назад +1

      KBs won't affect your wrists, unless you have an existing problem with them. Better check with your doctor if you're worried. The only time they're affected is when you bang them while doing cleans and snatches with improper form/technique.

    • @morrisboris6877
      @morrisboris6877 4 месяца назад

      Again, if you use proper form/technique, your back shouldn't be affected. You will get sore the first few times you do the exercises, but your back will get stronger and you won't feel anything.
      Also, ALWAYS start with light weights.

      @@morrisboris6877 I have a bit of history with my wrists - for starters, they have always been weak, small-sized like the wrists of a 7-year-old and secondly, I have been into transcription and copywriting, so I developed a pattern where my wrists and fingers tend to start hurting after a few hectic days at the work desk. The KB training seems train them further. But now, I have a system of using wrist bands and sleeves and my overall form has gotten way, way better.
