I was training with dumbbells for months and still felt like a lot of muscles were asleep. With just one session involving kettlebell swings my life changed. Lol i felt it in my arms, my Glutes, my hamstrings, my core, and my legs. . I also noticed my back muscles were working as opposed to just feeling pain in my lower back. Kettlebells are amazing

Were you doing swings before (many kettlebell exercises can be done with dumbbells too)? Maybe the new movement pattern was the gamechanger, not necessarily the kettlebell itself.
Kettlebells are great for strengthening core. I never knew something as simple as walking in a straight line with a kettlebell while maintaining correct posture could work my core so much. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Swing, Turkish Get up is a minimum! But press, squat, snatch all brings benefits! I like the heavy floor press helping me create a strong frame! All push - pull exercises are great in BJJ always there is a push and pull! But before all be strong as a human being!

Omg KB Training was something I felt like I had been missing out on in my 40yrs of life lol. I trained with KB only during covid and the following year and I shed a shit load of fat and gained a new functional strength and became more flexible… as part of my experiment lol I have since stopped tracing period and boy let me tell you my gut and lack of mobility is testament that in my experience KB training was way more beneficial than any weight training fad regiment out here on the web or provided by some over trenned/test trainer at the gym. Restarted my KB training yesterday, Let’s Fucking Go!!

The more muscle you have the more energy your body requires to sustain itself this your caloric needs increases with more weight training, so if you eat the same stuff but build muscle you will indeed lose weight. Kettlebells since 2020 and have never looked back. My stack is double 70s for explosive work and double 97s for strength and will continue to go up over time really like to see how far I can go.

Kettlebells are the most functional way to lift weights to get strong, efficient and to gain muscle. Regular weights in my opinion, is kinda outdated, even tho some movement are needed for athletes. I'm talking here for functionality. If your goal is getting bigger then go for the regular weights.

AHEM! You cannot compare barbells to kettlebells. They are completely different, as kettlebells have a lower center of gravity and are harder to control than a bar with loaded weights.
it's a good complimentary lift meaning if you get good with bells it can carry over and improve other barbell and dumbbell lifts. Try a single arm overhead press with 24 kg or above. The movement pattern is the most natural for the shoulder and definitely builds muscle.
Rogue has them all the way up to 203lbs. If Mike Tyson can build his physique with no weights while burning through insane amounts of cardio, 406lbs will do the trick just fine. Unless you’re on gear going for the Ronnie Coleman look.

Wrong. You need a strong core to do heavier lifting and advanced moves like the snatch. KBs won't develop your core. Suspension training will do that. I did only suspension training for a year, before moving to kettlebell. And I was able to progress from the light bells to the heavy ones in a short amount of time. Unless, by core, you mistakenly think it's your abs. The core is the stabilizer muscles that keep you balanced when you move.
The thing I hate about kettlebells the most is dragging them out of the rack over to where I'm going to use them, and dragging them back and hoicking them back in. Other than that, love them.
Get yourself a dolly. Or get the gym folks to move them closer to where you workout with them. I have to deal with the newbies hogging the bells for farmers walk or as a handle for pushups.

KBs won't affect your wrists, unless you have an existing problem with them. Better check with your doctor if you're worried. The only time they're affected is when you bang them while doing cleans and snatches with improper form/technique.
Again, if you use proper form/technique, your back shouldn't be affected. You will get sore the first few times you do the exercises, but your back will get stronger and you won't feel anything. Also, ALWAYS start with light weights.

Kettlebells are excellent for a variety of exercises. You want strong rotator cuffs and forearms, do inverted overhead presses.

Start with a light weight. If you don't feel any resistance, move to the next weight up until you feel resistance

KB’s are excellent for burning fat and hitting every muscle in a few moves but I do believe you need free weights as well.

Kettlebells are a wonderful part of a well rounded progran. Dont forget MACES AND INDIAN CLUBS!

why do i get teniis elbow when i kettlebell swing. i love kettle swings but man my elbow hurts like crazy after a few days of doing these

I don't have kettle bells, so I workout with rocks or slabs of random shaped concrete and brick blocks. Hope it is a workable substitute.
You can use dumbbells.
That’s far better, get rick sack, and fill it up with sand and carry it around, do squats with it, do overhead presses with it

Before KBs I used dumbells. not as smooth, but it works.
Combine them with calisthenics and it’s the perfect combination
And I do official Tabata and med ball slams for added calorie burn.
