Dime, I'm not considering myself ELITE however I'm well above average. I see this every freaking game almost. Instead of letting everyone play and getting an EASY dub, they want to lose. I got to a point where I can get 25-30 whether we win or not and put up significant assists not being selfish. Our community is POOR. We just need to play with IQ. I say one of the biggest issues in Rec is randoms thinking they're Kyrie or something. Always want to iso even if theyre double teamed, no passing, no vision, just stupidity. So annoying when you're a center and your guy helps double team your point guard so you either wait in the corner or roll to the basket for an easy bucket, yet you never get it unless its the last 2-3 seconds in the shot clock.

One thing I've noticed is most players will play their arrow at all cost. If the game tells them to move to a spot, they aren't picking up on switches and sides. Its tough mane.

I’m a REC main on next gen and here are my experiences from playing with randoms in the REC - I always try to be a pass first guard / pass first big whenever I play with teams / randoms I don’t wanna be the only person to rely on scoring for my team Ik everyone made their build with a purpose and I try to rely on that purpose and help them at least get a bucket but as I see people going like 2/15 I try to takeover and help the team win but always get negative reviews whenever I’m the one scoring for my team even when I’m on fire they just ignore the man that is hot and try to score for themselves - Pick up defense with randoms is the worse no communication nobody try to call out on the switches whenever I’m in game chat I always have communication with my team I’m the one who be calling out switches and yet people still seems to not know what to do which can be irritating but hey it’s randoms can’t expect ntn - IQ is a must for me I’m not saying anyone have to have perfect IQ for them to be on the same page as me all I want is someone who knows what there doing on and off the ball just a simple basketball mindset basically knowing what your doing but when I try to tell them that everyone just ignores what I say so I just let them do their own thing and watch how pathetic they play and when I try to help encourage them by making motivational speeches to the team on what we’re doing great and what we need to work on there’s gonna be that one guy who have to run his mouth about he’s carrying the team and everyone is trash while I’m over here shooting like 77% from threes all year which causes me to not even wanna help anymore it’s just sad - Communication is key to our success we must communicate with each other be on the same page knowing what we suppose to do so say if I play the PF if my pg wants a screen Imma set him a screen but then gets mad when he doesn’t get what he wants saying he didn’t want no screen when you literally said u wanted a screen so then when I do space the floor all of a sudden the pg whines about nobody setting him a screen like cmon make up ur mind I had an incident like that with a guy where he told the team not to set a screen for him but the screener was already in motion to set one and he went off on the team for that simple mistake so I try to calm him down and he wanted to be the smart guy so I said f it and let him do his thing he went 4/25 btw with 6 TO’s we still won since I had went 8/11 while barely getting the ball with 7-8 assists more than what the guard ever had people need to understand COMMUNICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT don’t make up ur mind the last second you tell someone to do something and it doesn’t execute the way how you wanted - Finally win percentages people be backing out because they see someone with like a 50win and I have someone Ik who had a 35win playing with randoms and this dude is nice he’s my main pg on the team I can rely on him helping me getting buckets we even play pro am together since then win doesn’t matter it’s about how that player plays and Ik some people gonna be like win definitely matter and I can’t argue about that if that’s how you feel then that’s on you I judge by seeing how someone plays and see if me and that person can be on the same page it takes a lot for me to trust someone to be the main pg for my team and keep in mind he had a 35win that means something I have a 80win in rec and the fact I decided to trust someone with a 35win to help me win a rec game is insane you might say but we had that same mindset we had communication we both knew what are playstyle are and we both know how to contribute to the team this same 35%win person is the exact same person who helped me score 83pts in the rec Ik I can rely on him to play point he makes winning plays he’s a true pg to me he’s not those pg who just spams left right and try to dribble all day unless we’re blowing teams out 😂 but in all seriousness he’s a person that focus on getting both a bucket not only for himself but for his teammates the most as I can 100% trust him to be my pg for the team and we switch from time to time sometimes I might run pg mostly sg-sf-pf and he would run pg-sf-pf we have COMMUNICATION the same mindset that I always wanted to have with my teammates so even if you see someone who has a low win percentage don’t judge them base off that try to see what their playstyle is like and see if you like the way how they are playing and to this day now he has a 65% win because we just winning games like that So in my conclusion learn how to trust one another don’t be mad over simple mistakes which can cause the downfall for the whole team if your not hot and making bad plays just simply pass the ball to the next man that’s open on the court nobody created a useless build at all it matters on how that specific person knows how to use that build trust me every build is not meant for everyone try to find something you know you can do the most and believe in your teammates to make winning plays don’t be no bozo random that can’t get what he wants and want to complain about the team being horrible when your the main reason for the team’s downfall but in all fairness just don’t play with randoms at all if you learn they don’t have 5 simple things (COMMUNICATION, IQ, HELP DEFENSE, SPACING, and most importantly BALL MOVEMENT) *Fun Fact* I actually play with QJB as a random on his team he unfortunately didn’t upload it on his yt but we had instant communication with one another and we won all our games so it was both nice meeting you and playing with you QJB

The thing that annoys me the most is when a center gets an offensive rebound while having 4 people guarding him at the paint and then what the center does is '' TRYING TO SCORE WHEN 4 OR 3 OTHER PEOPLE ARE WIDE OPEN'', he gets BLOCKED on the first try gets the offensive rebound AGAIN, tries to commit AGAIN, gets blocked gets the offensive rebound AGAIN and he still gets blocked, like how dumb you must be to do this kinda thing, and the bad thing is, people do this A LOT more than you think, i totally see this EVERYTIME bruh everytime..
To those who say "I didn't pay 60$ just to sit still in a corner" Well it depends from the pg or the team. For example, my pg never lets a game end without everyone scoring sometimes more sometimes less, if your defender doesn't move to help and just boxes you in the corner, well there are plays to get you open like the fify or the most common one cut to the busket. When it comes to defence you do even more with the rotations, for example you have the common pick and roll guarded by the lock and the C, pf and pg guard the 2 corners and the sg guards the hash. The C overcommits on the picker and gets burned by the roller so the pf rotates on the opposite c to block him, and your C goes to the corner the pf was guarding or to the nearest wide open man if any other rotation has occured. With a few words just watch the comp pro am scene or the 2k league, you have professional 2k players standing corner giving space to the guard for almost the whole game and you can't just sit still for 2 possessions until an above average player draws more attention and you get open with less work?

I just experienced this today: I got a dude that does not coming back to défense if he doesn’t not touch the ball every possession. And every time we give him the ball he do some stupid shit like trying to dunk on 7 foot 3 center or posting up… He went like 1/13 with 10 to with D- grade and decided to qui the game at the half. At that point we were losing badly. 2 k should really make different leagues level for rec and no squad ( that shit ain’t fair ) based on your teammate grade.

Mane these rec Randoms are next level sorry. I go through it too. The best advice I can give you is to try and avoid playing with players that average Fs. This means they probably sell then quit or their internet is trash and they are going to get kicked. If you are running point make sure you pass it to each player on your team before you start scoring, and if they do anything good give them some praise. Ay, good pick, good shot, good dunk, good box out, good pass. and good luck to you and these rec randoms.
That’s one thing I hate about playing 2k and especially since all my homies still don’t have a PS5 I don’t have no choice but to play with randoms. Man I see this every day. It's getting worse and worse. I am a passing/defensive PG. I hit open shots, I can slash. I always lock up the ball and try and get teammates involved. I'll have 5 assists and no TO in the first Q and for some reason the other guard starts trying to bring the ball up. It's crazy. Then they don't help on defense and my man ends up scoring because I have to try and help because they aren't guarding theirs. Once every 3 or 4 games I'll get a few good random teammates, but otherwise I'm playing with salesman. They will sell you any game for the cheapest price just to make the sale 🤣

The other day I was solo on my tall lock and got put at the 1. I’m just moving around with my icons up hitting shooters. Guy playing at the 3 was dexing the hell out of his matchup and shooting lights out from everywhere. 10/10 from 3 midway through the second quarter. Center starts sending me messages saying I’m being a ball hog?🤔? Bro, I got 0 pts and 12 assists, I don’t think that means what you think it means. 😭😭😭

bro honestly the shit ridiculous and it be the trash ass old heads too bro, i had played a rec game passing everyone the ball first on my play making shot straight iso dotting up had about 15 assist through the first and second quarter and then as soon as i start scoring end up being 6/6 ah old head say pass the ball you ball hogging , like nigga what ?
I’m a REC main on next gen and here are my experiences from playing with randoms in the REC
- I always try to be a pass first guard / pass first big whenever I play with teams / randoms I don’t wanna be the only person to rely on scoring for my team Ik everyone made their build with a purpose and I try to rely on that purpose and help them at least get a bucket but as I see people going like 2/15 I try to takeover and help the team win but always get negative reviews whenever I’m the one scoring for my team even when I’m on fire they just ignore the man that is hot and try to score for themselves
- Pick up defense with randoms is the worse no communication nobody try to call out on the switches whenever I’m in game chat I always have communication with my team I’m the one who be calling out switches and yet people still seems to not know what to do which can be irritating but hey it’s randoms can’t expect ntn
- IQ is a must for me I’m not saying anyone have to have perfect IQ for them to be on the same page as me all I want is someone who knows what there doing on and off the ball just a simple basketball mindset basically knowing what your doing but when I try to tell them that everyone just ignores what I say so I just let them do their own thing and watch how pathetic they play and when I try to help encourage them by making motivational speeches to the team on what we’re doing great and what we need to work on there’s gonna be that one guy who have to run his mouth about he’s carrying the team and everyone is trash while I’m over here shooting like 77% from threes all year which causes me to not even wanna help anymore it’s just sad
- Communication is key to our success we must communicate with each other be on the same page knowing what we suppose to do so say if I play the PF if my pg wants a screen Imma set him a screen but then gets mad when he doesn’t get what he wants saying he didn’t want no screen when you literally said u wanted a screen so then when I do space the floor all of a sudden the pg whines about nobody setting him a screen like cmon make up ur mind I had an incident like that with a guy where he told the team not to set a screen for him but the screener was already in motion to set one and he went off on the team for that simple mistake so I try to calm him down and he wanted to be the smart guy so I said f it and let him do his thing he went 4/25 btw with 6 TO’s we still won since I had went 8/11 while barely getting the ball with 7-8 assists more than what the guard ever had people need to understand COMMUNICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT don’t make up ur mind the last second you tell someone to do something and it doesn’t execute the way how you wanted
- Finally win percentages people be backing out because they see someone with like a 50win and I have someone Ik who had a 35win playing with randoms and this dude is nice he’s my main pg on the team I can rely on him helping me getting buckets we even play pro am together since then win doesn’t matter it’s about how that player plays and Ik some people gonna be like win definitely matter and I can’t argue about that if that’s how you feel then that’s on you I judge by seeing how someone plays and see if me and that person can be on the same page it takes a lot for me to trust someone to be the main pg for my team and keep in mind he had a 35win that means something I have a 80win in rec and the fact I decided to trust someone with a 35win to help me win a rec game is insane you might say but we had that same mindset we had communication we both knew what are playstyle are and we both know how to contribute to the team this same 35%win person is the exact same person who helped me score 83pts in the rec Ik I can rely on him to play point he makes winning plays he’s a true pg to me he’s not those pg who just spams left right and try to dribble all day unless we’re blowing teams out 😂 but in all seriousness he’s a person that focus on getting both a bucket not only for himself but for his teammates the most as I can 100% trust him to be my pg for the team and we switch from time to time sometimes I might run pg mostly sg-sf-pf and he would run pg-sf-pf we have COMMUNICATION the same mindset that I always wanted to have with my teammates so even if you see someone who has a low win percentage don’t judge them base off that try to see what their playstyle is like and see if you like the way how they are playing and to this day now he has a 65% win because we just winning games like that
So in my conclusion learn how to trust one another don’t be mad over simple mistakes which can cause the downfall for the whole team if your not hot and making bad plays just simply pass the ball to the next man that’s open on the court nobody created a useless build at all it matters on how that specific person knows how to use that build trust me every build is not meant for everyone try to find something you know you can do the most and believe in your teammates to make winning plays don’t be no bozo random that can’t get what he wants and want to complain about the team being horrible when your the main reason for the team’s downfall but in all fairness just don’t play with randoms at all if you learn they don’t have 5 simple things (COMMUNICATION, IQ, HELP DEFENSE, SPACING, and most importantly BALL MOVEMENT)
*Fun Fact* I actually play with QJB as a random on his team he unfortunately didn’t upload it on his yt but we had instant communication with one another and we won all our games so it was both nice meeting you and playing with you QJB

Well it depends from the pg or the team. For example, my pg never lets a game end without everyone scoring sometimes more sometimes less, if your defender doesn't move to help and just boxes you in the corner, well there are plays to get you open like the fify or the most common one cut to the busket. When it comes to defence you do even more with the rotations, for example you have the common pick and roll guarded by the lock and the C, pf and pg guard the 2 corners and the sg guards the hash. The C overcommits on the picker and gets burned by the roller so the pf rotates on the opposite c to block him, and your C goes to the corner the pf was guarding or to the nearest wide open man if any other rotation has occured. With a few words just watch the comp pro am scene or the 2k league, you have professional 2k players standing corner giving space to the guard for almost the whole game and you can't just sit still for 2 possessions until an above average player draws more attention and you get open with less work?

I just experienced this today: I got a dude that does not coming back to défense if he doesn’t not touch the ball every possession. And every time we give him the ball he do some stupid shit like trying to dunk on 7 foot 3 center or posting up… He went like 1/13 with 10 to with D- grade and decided to qui the game at the half. At that point we were losing badly. 2 k should really make different leagues level for rec and no squad ( that shit ain’t fair ) based on your teammate grade.

Mane these rec Randoms are next level sorry. I go through it too. The best advice I can give you is to try and avoid playing with players that average Fs. This means they probably sell then quit or their internet is trash and they are going to get kicked. If you are running point make sure you pass it to each player on your team before you start scoring, and if they do anything good give them some praise. Ay, good pick, good shot, good dunk, good box out, good pass.

Man I see this every day. It's getting worse and worse. I am a passing/defensive PG. I hit open shots, I can slash. I always lock up the ball and try and get teammates involved. I'll have 5 assists and no TO in the first Q and for some reason the other guard starts trying to bring the ball up. It's crazy. Then they don't help on defense and my man ends up scoring because I have to try and help because they aren't guarding theirs. Once every 3 or 4 games I'll get a few good random teammates, but otherwise I'm playing with salesman. They will sell you any game for the cheapest price just to make the sale 🤣

Admittedly i hate bigs that cant space the floor or dont know how to play defence but i also know why some of them start tryna drop stepping vs 3 people in the paint in the 3rd quarter lool because they had enough of standing there setting screens and watching guards over dribble and get locked down or take bad shots.

bro i feel you. I'm on a 5'9 pg and i can pretty much score at will. i try to evenly spread the ball so everyone can score at least 10 points and dudes be getting mad i don't hit them when the already got 25 points and our SF got 2 smh
