A few useful hints: 1. Drum map is based on standard GM mapping. 2. You can right click on any chord to show it on the chord helper section. 3. Pre Gen Mod controls, does not affect already generated tracks. 4. You can drag anywhere on the track (long section with MIDI) and dont always have to use the drag icon. 5. Remember to generate a new chord progression when you change the scale. Otherwise you'll get wrong notes. 6. Send any bugs and feature requests and complains to the developers so they can improve it in the next versions.
Anyways nicely explained. I just wanted to point out the audio levels are a bit too loud (I mean really too loud hehe) and hitting the compressor too hard at the main channel and that makes it hard to hear the individual instruments. Also It's not a waste of time spending time creating something interesting. No need to rush things too much when making videos. A good mix of fun and informative is the best kind.

I don't understand the point of this? You can't import MIDI or record into it, so what's so "AI" about it? It's just a clever random note generator. Waveform has this exact thing built into the DAW, and it's free.
I'm not sure why you think it has to be able to import MIDI to be AI-based. It uses AI to generate the chords and melodies + drum patterns that work in tandem with the chords. It is not a "random note generator".

This software presents you with something and adjusts it from its own source, its just a clever note randomiser. My DAW quite easily does better in half the time. If you could import MY performance and generate new ideas from it, well that would be very interesting indeed. I see you can draw in notes, which is close, but just include a MIDI input/import option and this would be amazing.
This vst is absolutely an essential tool in my composition palette. My Daw is Reaper and I post because there seems to be some confusion regarding getting multi midi channel output with IC2 in Reaper. The truth is you don-not need a third party VST to get IC2 to transmit midi on multiple channels in Reaper as the functionality required is already there and takes about one minute to set up. If any Reaper users want me to post how to do this I will post the instructions here. If WA want a short YT video or PDF on how to do this I will gladly create one.

@@w.a.production Both are great tools honestly, the listener you have with loop engine though makes things really straight forward particularly with Ableton Live which as we know is a bit behind with the routing (that's their problem though not yours!) It just got me to thinking how great that same feature would be if Instacomposer had a similar "listener" (by no means a deal breaker, I started with Instacomposer 1 and quickly jumped on 2 when you released it regardless!) Being an Ableton user I guess I just felt a bit spoilt by the listener innovation in Loop Engine with how streamlined it is to be able to just keep working with a loop and adjusting it on the fly compared to having to drag the midi out from Instacomposer each time I want to fully audition something.

Hi there -- it does not include any expansions, only factory presets, but there are new ones updated for InstaComposer 2. And yes, it works great in Logic Pro :)

I want to get ideas for RPG music; so fantasy, gothic horror, space theme, etc. Also cinematic music in general. Can this help with that? All the tut vids ive seen, folks are basically just generating like lofi, hip hop stuff it seems.
Well, the AI behind it is directed by the parameters you set, so sure, you can tweak the parameters in such a way to come up with ideas you'll like I'm sure!

question: if I want to change the scale, for example from C to E ... then I only see the C scale in the list? Any suggestions?
this means you are on the trial version and have not activated a license.
Excellent new features! A thing that would be nice in a future version would be to be able to record automation for the scene selection.
