Relatively Lucy's performances at Kona over the last three years have been much better, though to be fair she's never held the long distance record 😉

Plenty of disclaimers in this video of "why I didn't expect to win" - I'm sure it is difficult to have the pressure to win, but ultimately if you signed up for the race and chose not to do the prep needed than that's on you.
Travis Jeffrey agree! Although sometimes it’s not just about winning. This was a fantastic opportunity to race in a unique format, raise money for charity and spend a little more time with the age groupers.

Lucy why do you race so much during your winter? (ie parkrun and XC) Should it not be more focused training for the season ahead. Im not questioning your methods but rather my own. Thanks
Ronan Griffin we wouldn’t class parkrun as a race, it’s incorporated as a weekly tempo run. XC races are for variety and mostly about fun. We do not treat them the same way we would for a triathlon event.

But as far as TSS is concerned would parkrun and XC not be almost as high as a race?
Ronan Griffin No, because it’s far less distance than even a sprint distance triathlon and it is kept to tempo effort, not all out.
