I agree with the dad that said come on this is a kids game
Absolutely see nothing wrong with the way the Ump handled the Outs or the eventual ending of the game.
Clearly, the “adults” were more interested in mouthing off. Warnings were given. Someone (parent) tossed. Called game clearly on the mouthy folks… who I assumed signed a “parent code of conduct”
No one to blame but themselves.
There is no reason for an umpire to be yelled at, they are essentially volunteers getting paid $20 a game. In the long run, its not worth it financially or mentally. A few weeks ago I almost got assaulted, luckily after a minute, a board member ran to my aid. I am an umpire not because of the money, but because the kids deserve someone to be there an officiate the game, just like there were when I was younger. When I was playing there was no shortage of umpires. Now, it is me, 3 older gentlemen, and like 7 jr umps who are 13 or 14. This is because of the parents. Spoiler alert, your kids are not baseball stars at 10-12 years old.

Parents and coaches double edge blade in youth sports!! I Umpired for 43 years!! Retired in 2022 due to an injury!! I had my good share of Ahole parents and coaches, However, I never did hold the kids accountable by ending the game they were enjoying!! It's about the kids and adults don't seem to care about that. I removed plenty of adults from the games but never a child. Parents don't seem to realize that the child wants them to see them there. I protected that as much as I could. Parents do suck though!!
How is there batter's interference on a foul ball?? The ball was to the right and the batter held his bat on the left side. This umpire needs to go back to school.

This is why I would never coach, stupid rules.
so ur saying that u should be allowed to throw the bat at the catcher?
IMO there should be a chalk circle the size of an on deck circle just past the lefty batter box in foul territory. After hitting the ball the hitter must leave his bat inside or touching the circle. It's for safety.
idk about that they should just drop it because they wont be able to get it perfectly in the circle in the heat of the moment

Because if they lose this game they are losers. This is serious business.
Please EXPLAIN to me how that was interference on the batter?
It was interference from someone in the dugout probably a batter on deck or the coach
A little quick on the trigger. I think one time he should have told the mouthy coach he was about to end the game.
Quick on the trigger? That needs to happen way more often, and sometimes even sooner. Where have you been watching youth sports teams for the last 10 or 15 years? If the kids don't like their games being called early, then tell those kids to leave, their worthless, talentless, poor sportsmanship parents and coaches at home, and they will get along playing their games just fine from beginning to end. Youth sport, parents cry and whine, like a thirteen year old girl being told she can't use her phone for a couple of days. Pathetic, embarrassing.
Or he could treat people like they are adults who don't need to be given a warning.

So the ump calls the game because of the parents. He wasn't completely innocent in this. But what I would've done is pause the game momentarily. Call for a PA mic. Then address the parents "In an act of decorum, out of immense consideration for these kids who are here to play, I must ask that all of the parents here to PLEASE be considerate towards your players by keeping your criticisms and negative comments to yourselves.
