I survived this. I literally died. Till date,my lungs hurt when I breathe hard(especially when I yawn).I still wear a ted stockings and still on blood thinner. I blow balloons to help with my heart/chest. I don’t wish this on my enemy. It is scary and deadly. I am a walking miracle.

@@jonathankneel8637 I am so sorry for the irreplaceable loss. Please accept my condolence on behalf of your friend. The symptoms can be subtle to be honest, and before you realize it, it is too late. I have plans to work on raising awareness about Pulmonary Embolism as a survivor.

I was diagnosed with PE this past Sunday when I visited the ER. The doctor said I have multiple small clots in my lungs. She wanted to admit me but didn’t because there weren’t anymore available rooms. So she discharged me and told me to return ASAP if I started feeling bad again. The telltale signs I had were shortness of breath, lightheartedness, and feeling like I was going to pass out. I’m glad I didn’t ignore the signs because I probably would be dead. To anyone else dealing with this or has family/friends dealing with this, I pray a speedy recovery for all. To those who’ve lost loved ones to this, my heartfelt condolences to all of you ❤

I finished chemo 4 months ago. I’ve since complained about my port hurting my chest, making it hard to breathe, etc. Coming back from a trip this weekend I hit a deer on the highway, was rushed to our ER 10 away from town, and they discovered 2 pulmonary embolism in my lungs. I guess that deer saved my life! Killed my car but saved my life! I was in ICU for the first day then moved to a regular room. Given heparin intravenously and now I’m home taking eliquis pills! Crazy

I'm literally dealing with this right now. I'm 31 and have never been admitted to a hospital before this in my life. I've never broken anything none of that. I wanted to comment because you forgot something extremely important. I developed this as a side effect of COVID-19. I think that needs to be known to ppl out there that is EXTREMELY more likely to happen AFTER you have gotten rid of COVID. I am now dealing with the pnuemonia from it was well as this at the same time. What a time to be alive.
