  • "Autoimmune hepatitis as the name suggests is when the bodies own immune cells attack the liver cells resulting in inflammation. The disease may be asymptomatic (meaning no symptoms) or start as acute hepatitis and progress to chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. Autoimmune hepatitis is four times more common in women than in men."

    This was very timely for me. My daughter has T1D and is now presenting with other autoimmune symptoms 11 years later. I was thinking of this, but wasn’t sure what other blood tests they would run besides the liver function panel and obviously the other routine things. She told me IgG. Makes sense why her doctor would run IgG since her CRP and ESR are elevated. She’s neg for hep C. This vid helped me visualize what might be next that has to either be ruled in or out. Thanks!
