My gf loves this car. It's so simple and easy to drive in the city. Decent road trip car. Not at all for enthusiast drivers but honestly I was impressed!
I really love this car. It’s just fun being in a car that everyone hates and doesn’t get, but in 20 years they’ll be saying, “remember the Ecosport. They were great!”. I have a 2018 model with 26,000 miles on it. Sounds like the day I bought it and handles great too. Almost 3 years old and no major service. Helps that my commute to work is 1.5 miles.
My lcgc car, 3.5 years and still feels like new.
In 20 years, there will still be plenty of these still running. They're sturdy little cars with proven engines.
In 20 years they’ll all be in a junkyard rotting
@@616civicmt8 BS. Change the fluids, and these sturdy little cars will easily last that long. It ain't rocket science.
@@bongodave13 It’s not BS. The exhausts rot off after 3-4 years and require new catalytic converters at the same time. Transmissions routinely need to be replaced, the only good part about this vehicle is the underpowered 2.0 that they’ve been using for a long time. Just because yours hasn’t been a pile of garbage (yet) doesn’t mean they’re amazing vehicles.
The very best Ecosport test drive on RUclips. I have a Ecosport SE and love it.
I'm gonna miss these old Ford 2.0 n/a engines. They have enough power to get going and sound really good.
I love just how simple and cheap it looks. As much as I love enthusiast sports cars and high end luxury cars, I have a soft spot for cheap, compact, boring ‘NPC’ cars because these are the cars you can put guilt & stress free miles because you never have to worry about loosing money the more you drive it, having it get stolen and if it gets a scratched who cares!!
I love the Ford EcoSport. Especially with the gear shifting but, that's not all. It has a very nice start up with 23 to 29 MPG & a lot more
I love my ecosport. Its fun to drive and I usually leave people behind on highways. Sound system is great and the gas mileage is great.
Its such a cute car
I have one and agree with everything
Im not ganna lie idk why i more like this car than others cool car im just obsesed on this car 😍
I just bought a 2021 used SE but with the 1L 3 cyl turbo charged FWD with less than 16,000 miles in the same Ruby Red Metallic. Its like brand new. Great little SUV. Can't wait to take it on a road trip to my cousins in West Bloomfield from Buffalo.
I really like my Ecosport. It's my first car and I wanted a small car. I don't need the fast and big car in the city with the traffic jams. If you want to know what is a really horrible car, buy a Škoda.
I wish this car with 6 gears and 4*4 was also launched in India
He's like me messing with all the tech
Man eco sport was so famous in India. When it launched here it was the best selling compact suv but as time gone by ford failed to update it and now ford is leaving India sure i will miss its cars.
So how is the feedback of this in US and do you guys like ford cars
The ford brand itself is very popular here in North America, but the EcoSport is too small and undepowered for it to be successful here.
I just bought a new 2021. I like it a lot too.
@@mattdoe04 Ford sold them all.
The best car
This car just looks sad for some reason. Its like a Ford fusion was turned into a shrunken down crossover.
Or, it just look like any other small SUV crossover with a somewhat boxy shape...
Now I see it too
True.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I dont hate the design, neither do I love it, its polarizing. Biggest issue with the Ecosport is its price, It should ve been price between 15k-20k USD. For that kind of price this would have made way more sense
@@AntonHorn Its not that it has a boxy shape, the proportions just look too off to blend in as just another crossover.
Good video!
Good video !
anyone else screaming... "YOU NEED SOME GAS!"
this car should worth 120,000 BRL today if it was produced here in Camacari, Brazil
5:30 LOL exactly what I was thinking. Man this thing is painfully slow.
The 3 cyl is even slower.
@@devenmellor There is lot more to HP in modern cars, see this Ecosport is a 4WD one, does ur Civic have that ? This has a traditional TC AT, not a weeeeeeeeee...CVT. See Speed is relative, no one is buying an SUV for Speed. This is a crossover for someone who does not want to slide and dive into a car but rather walk in and walk out of a car. Add to it , it has 4wd its safer at snow and wet conditions. The 2.0 engine here is mated to a lazy 6F250 TC AT which is solely trying to be on safe side of things, balance torque with efficiency .
This machine has 1 BIG downside, ie its price. If this thing was priced say between 15k USD to 20k USD, this would ve become a sensible choice, as of now when 1 can get a decently loaded Ford Maverick at 25-28k USD no one would prefer this. Ford simply messed up the pricing with this thing, otherwise this is a decent package
@@clover7359 I do agree, but 2 be frank the price is the biggest issue, this must ve been priced between 15-20k USD, then nobody would ve complained about its interiors, its speed or anything, as it stands 18-28k is way too much for an Ecosport
In india we only have FWD option of ford ecosport it's considered as a legendary car 🚗 here
Will hopefully be going with this vehicle when VW Tiguan lease is up 😬
22is the last year of availability in the US.
Mis respeto a este auto suena hermoso cuando la aceleras
its perfect for a tiny person like me :) i’m 5’3 so it’s niceee hehe
I'm 6'1" and it's comfy for me, too.
5”8 260lb and it’s a perfect size for me!
Your video is so beautiful. A cute little car. I was attracted to it. I was also fascinated by the way you drive.
Thank You so much
Just watching the acceleration I think the 2.4 4cyl in my moms 2014 Cherokee has more quicker acceleration and those engines are pretty underpowered as well
@@devenmellor Its not just that dude, I ve been in Ford Focus 2.0 160 HP of 2016 and it easily did 60 in 9-9.5s, the manual one did it in around 9s. SO its not that its slow, this thing is too heavy and with 4wd has too much drive train loss and frankly the 6AT in Ford makes it feel even more slow
@@ponygt6629
9 seconds is still pretty slow lol
@@nighttimestalker Not at all for a family hauling compact SUV

Is the 2021 ford eco sport a reliable 🚗. ?
YES!
This needs to be like $14k.
Was my rental car a few weeks ago. Agreed when I drove it it felt like an 18 grand car max. And I even had the top of the line trim. Perfect car for an older couple who doesn’t need too much space but wants to sit higher up
@@brendan7632 true
YES
Its so funny to see the diffrence between the european ecosport and the US ecosport because we have here in germany the 125 HP 3 cylinder ecoboost and the funniest thing is that this european ecosport is faster the this one in that video. And we have a sport version . :)
They have the same 3 cylinder here in the states too.
@Dave C. I know, but I've heard that many Americans don't like this engine
@@Juli-hp6hm that’s because many Americans believe more power is essential. The 3 cylinder engine also has turbo to get it up to speed and the 4 is just a naturally aspirated regular one. So, if the turbo goes on the 3, then you might as well walk. Also, the 4 comes with some extra creature comforts here. What I wish they would’ve included in the US version is the spare tire on the rear swing door. I have a 4 cylinder myself, but that’s because I got a great deal on it. All and all.. they are great little cars. They are also the only car the Ford made in 2018 (my year) that didn’t have any recalls. I think that’s says something about its design. I hope to have it for many more years. Happy New Year Juli5242!!!
@@thestonetable thx😊
Eu tenho uma dessa😍
Estou pensando em pegar uma véi
@@mateuscorreia6825 Pode comprar uma sem medo. Carro top!
It seems a bit slower than 166hp would suggest. I really like the side hinged rear hatch though, that’s not something you see every day.
Here in India, the Ecosport doesn't even make 120hp and doesn't get 4WD
The 2.0 would probably be adequate in FWD, but it only came with 4WD, and the extra power gets sucked up by the driveline, making it only a little faster than the 1.0.
All the same, I have an '18 SES, and it's a great little winter car. Has the cold weather package. So comfy and capable in the snow.
I didn’t even know this car existed until today. Tht’s not something I say or take lightly. 😳🤔
I’ve probably seen them, just recognized em as a focus or fiesta or whtvr instead of wht they actually were. + I don’t really worry about the goings on of Ford to much lately.
i pray to god every day to have a car any car i will accept it 😟😕
Is it actually 4WD or is it just all-wheel-drive, like so many of these crossovers are?
4wd
AWD. It says 4WD on the back, but it's not full-time. Always 4WD starting out, but if traction is good, it will switch to FWD when you get up to speed. Works great.
Should of given us the mk8 fiesta st instead...
What if Ecosport becomes a compact or a full size suv ?
It is?😂
no backpack - looks weird
Nice!
Nice !
You car the brazileiro
our face is no longer stupid this car has in brazil and nis usa, it is not just for brazilians
this car exists in Europe

Can You Drive A 2021 Ford Ranger 4x4 Wildtrak Please
Why does this car have "sport" in its name?
Looks more of a big hatchback than an SUV
Its a baby suv
Basically a fiesta with a lift kit
It's based on the fiesta after all mk6 to be precise
When i watch your videos have been your videos quality 144p 😤 whyyy i want watch 1080p !!
Ford is great, but why someone would buy the Ecosport over the Kia Seltos or Hyundai Kona, is beyond me.
from which country you are
a baby Ford Edge
5:26 para fazer 5 quilômetros por hora a rotação do motor disparou para a estratosfera não será a nova slow and furious
São milhas por hora.
Niceeee
Que hermodo auto
When did we start letting little boys tear drive cars? Next time get a MAN
You car in Brazil
👍
👍
👍
You guys could make a shitbox look nice
This looks too slow for a 166 hp car most probably due to gearbox. I have a 100hp diesel Ecosport and is very peppy for urban runabouts and the bonus is 5.5L/100km fuel efficiency.
Meh, over priced. I'd rather get the Kia Seltos over this.
LAndkror 2022
How long has this been around lol. At least 10 years!
Maybe elsewhere not in the US
@@Darylrb1983 my guy, just search "2012 ford ecosport" on RUclips and you'll see it's the same model but just an older version of it
Apparently 2003. Definatly not in the us
5:20 there was a Fiesta, C-Max, Escape, Edge, EcoSport, and Explorer at that intersection 🤮
Ford family🤣🤣🤣
Fix Or Repair Daily
Ford makes some exceptional crossovers and SUVs after getting rid of their sedans. The EcoSport isn't one of them. I'd avoid it. It's just so mediocre
Yes, but what if this was priced between 15-20k USD. Ford just needs a price correction to make this way more relevant, cuz nowadays all sub 20k cars/hatch backs/SUVs are CRAP, if this gets into that space, its very much recommendable
A junky 3-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation? The whole purpose of this car's existence is to boost CAFE numbers so they can sell more F-150s.
Prices nyan.
Easily one of the worst cars on the market by far, Fiesta platform and 160hp but can't even break 30MPG? Right in the trash
Very bad manual shifter ever , and its style very unpractical , either put shifter on steering or gear shifter
4wd might be the selling point in snow country.
Claustrophobic.
What happened to the Ford Escape ?
They still sell it and it's been updated, there's almost no reason for this car aside from costs
Rear side is really gross
in other markets they come standard with the spare wheel on the rear door and it looks so much better with it.
You would make better videos if you learned how to drive properly. Following the car in front of you too closely, and making improper lane changes constantly is very distracting for the viewer.
Look, don't interrupt these great videos, so don't mess around, okay?
Love the video but I hate this car.
hah, here you get it with a 1.0 engine, pathetic
My refrigerator looks better 🤣
My refrigerator looks better 🤣
Ugly, underpowered (esp. the 3 cyl FWD), mediocre efficiency, really doesn't stand out at all. If you want a good all around package, you want a HR-V. For a sporty drive, get a CX-30. For ruggedness, get a Crosstrek. For value, get a Kona or Seltos. The Trax is probably worse overall, but at least it has a soft ride.
But what if this was priced in 15k for base and 20k for top of the line on road. Actually thats how Ecosport is priced globally , Ford USA management are idiots, they could have sold this for average 18k and could have massed some volumes, at that price this is sensible, but at 25k its totally not
@@ponygt6629 True, in India its priced 20k USD for the top end but that’s FWD diesel which is good enough for a small car.
@@TheWAP5 That too is after the extremely high stupid taxation system in India
@@ponygt6629 Yes bro, in ecosport’s case, over 40% goes to the government.
@@TheWAP5 True..Gov itself is looting people and for all this India is blessed with bad roads, weak safety checks and high punishment rates for modifications!
Its funny that the ford explorer had the same exact engine as this timy ecosport
The Ford Explorer has a 2.3 l twin scroll turbo 4 cyl and a optional twin turbo 3l v6
I've been in gokarts with more room, better safety, and more reliability.
why does this slow shitty car get shitty gas mileage
It's heavy, tall and not very aerodynamic.
Yah tythats the difference new mwns showing everything in interiour seat pockets belt and the real guys just skip all these things.
I think this just doesn't suite US market.
This vehicle suits if you live in places when roads are small like in Hawaii or the Caribbeans. The US I don’t think so.
I own and drive a 2018 Ecosport Titanium and have 42,000 miles on it with no issues. Very comfortable and combined mileage about 26mpg. Awesome on a long trip. Very good NAV system and sound system...
I want equinox
No.
They were well known for transmission issues.
Why is this car so skinny
Lmao that pfp oh boy
