The Golf wagon in EU doesnt offer they 1.8 tsi, only 1.0 tsi 115hp and 1.5 tsi 130-150hp, and 310hp in the Golf R. Diesel 1.6 tdi 115hp, and 2.0 tdi 150-184hp. 1.5 tsi, 1.0 tsi and 1.6 tdi uses a 7 speed DSG DQ200 dry clutch.

Very thorough review......too bad you don't take it for a spin. I just bought a 2019 Sportwagen S with manual transmission......did not need all the extras on the SE (no SEL in 2019). 2019 is the end of the line for regular Golf and Sportwagen in North America. Supposedly the Gen 8 GTI and R will be available from Germany eventually.

Vehicle is missing the engine underhood soundproofing. It attaches to the hood with removable black plastic push fasteners.
