- Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and Bartow Police Chief Andy Ray gave an update after an officer-involved shooting that sent a violent suspect to the hospital. No officers were injured during the shooting, but investigators said the suspect is in critical condition.

This is exactly why citizens have the right to carry. This was a repeat offender and a convicted felon, making him a prohibited person who legally couldn't own a gun. Didnt stop him from having one though, or waiving it around, and threatening people with it.

Considering he’s a government official, why does he refuse to get bodycams for any officer in his department? Be nice to the mother. You do not know her. He is an adult and choose to do this, his mother had nothing to do with it. He is a grown man, by the grace of God goes your children. A few bad choices in friends and doing one thing wrong can lead to this. Seen preacher raise kids, two came out great, one did not he became a drunk and made bad choices. All raised in the same house by the same parents. He picked wrong friends. Be kind I am sure the mother feels bad, and it is painful to have a child not do right and turn out right. Known to many it has happened to. A good parent beats themselves up enough. Praying for her.

It was not the friends he chose or any other outward circumstance; it was his choices as an adult and the consequences are all his.
