I mean I understand both sides of the comments. Yes its a song about slavery but its not just about slavery, its about a struggle. U never know someones struggle unless u walk a mile in their shoes. She could be going through her own personal battles and channeling it through this song or she could just be singing it because its in her vocal range but either way she killed it 👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 🔥 instead of feeding into negativity think about the words of the song. Whether she sings it or someone else, it doesn’t change what the song represents and what the song is about.
