Hey Larry, I got an 04 Ford Ranger, it’s beat up for sure cause it’s my daily driver. Wouldn’t mind a nice new truck, but my ranger is paid for. Can’t beat that. I’ve got no problem spending money on repairs to it, cause it’s cheaper to fix than buy!
Good message and it’s a good thing someone is talking about it. Carry a Stanley to work myself, it’s a lunch box size in blue, cause blue makes the coffee taste better!

This is very timely. I currently work a cushy office job that pays well, yet I am planning on making the leap to work for myself soon (sitting at a desk all day isn't for me). Making that leap means I will be making just enough to get by for awhile. I know it's going to sound crazy to all my peers because I'm doing "well" by all the modern metrics (money), but I'm not fulfilled in the slightest from my work (the opposite actually). Time for a change.
This video was a good reminder that I need to continue to work hard and trust in the Lord. Thank you good sir.

Your comments on how we should get married younger and how it can help give us priorities, purpose, and drive is something that I have realized too. I am grateful that my fiancé and I have found each other as it has allowed me to give myself more of a purpose in my own working life. Before we got engaged I had doubts about my career choices and have had some major downs. But now as we get closer to starting this new chapter in our lives, none of those choices feel as important to me as my main priorities I have now. I feel a much greater drive to work hard and provide along side her and for our future family. Thanks for the consistently insightful talks, I always enjoy listening

I hustled and a decade later, I am educated and burnt out. After a series of events, I lost my job. For some reason, I am happier than ever. I have no desire to go back into an office environment! I don't want to work. I don't want to work in an office, to make some dickhead richer, and spend more time with coworkers I cant stand instead of with my kid. Maybe I am having a midlife crisis. These days I work to better my land, family ties, and for myself. How am I going to make money after unemployment? Great question... No idea. But I finally feel the real me coming through and I do not want to lose that or sacrifice anymore time I spend with my kid. For the first time in my life I really don't have a plan. It feels frickin great. I will figure the rest as I go and have to.

@@improvingISAAC I know some people might look down upon you because you’re not out working to provide for the financial needs of the family. But I think that people need to have more grace and realize that everyone situation in life is different.
If you didn’t want to work at all to improve your family, that’s one thing but sometimes life demands that you take a different route and go against what is normal for society.
So staying at home is the best thing for your family, then that’s what you should do.
