Great video! Thanks for keeping it real! I think in programming and development, having a passion for learning goes a long way, especially when things move so fast in this industry. Sure, if you learned COBOL years ago and got into the FinTech industry, you may not need to learn more, but those niches will not last forever. But you also don't need to outwardly manifest or project your passion on to others. It can be entirely internal and personal and that's fine too!
You don't need passion, but somebody that really enjoys it is more likely to invest more time getting good at it. Most young people who are great also have great passion for it. It all comes down to the time invested in it, I think. I have also seen those infuriating people who are amazingly good without caring about it 😅.

💯 true passion can be developed. I forced myself to learn coding. I've been learning it for 2 years. Last 6 months I've really got into coding and building stuff, currently trying to get my foot in the door as a FE/FS developer job. But, companies doesn't give a beep about entry/junior level guys. Won't stop applying until I get the job. BTW, do have a discord channel?
