Had note 7 loved it..tried the iPhone 7 plus after the recalls and back in my note 5...phone is still a beast and kills the iPhone 7 plus.. Samsung is still king
I was going to change to a S7 edge or a Note 7 but then I realised I should hold on to the note 5 longer and wait another few months. Im doing just that. Despite what other/some reviewers are saying, no compelling reason aside from battery to switch to newer series. Just my take.
out of curiosity how do you guys get paid? is it salary based or do you get income based on videos you produce individually? just curious since pocketnow is like a company.
does the screen still go crazy when wet like the s5. It was very frustrating taking pictures in the rain or in water and the screen starts going crazy.
can i get the name of that calendar widget that you have?? and you did whats on my android video i am having trouble finding that video now.. would you post that link too??
The real question, since most contracts and upgrade cycles are now 18-24months long.. is if people with an iPhone 6+ who want to return home to Android (aka me), should get the Note 5 for half the price of the Note 7. I.e. is the Note 7 worth twice as much money?
dont forget that the Note 7 shiped with Android 7.0 right out of the box in 2016 while the Note 5 still runned Android 6.0.1 and got Android 7.0 untill 15 months after Note 7 came out
I currently have the note 5 but still going to wait a few more weeks to jump to the note 7. Going to wait if tmobile throw some kind of deal, 2x1. what do you guys think?
I'll +1 on the dbrand skins. i purchased a black note 7 with a very thin clear case and a bamboo skin for the back. Imo, This is the most beautiful phone combo I've ever seen.
the cameras are not really neck and neck are they come on you. I noticed you mention low light shots and that's where you would see the camera on the S7 and S7 Edge also now on the Note 7 kicking ass
This is why iPhone still dominates American market. 1. Security 2. Smooth operation (never lag. Never) 3. Stability Samsung phones cannot offer any of these. The rest is BS.
I have an iPad mini with 3g. To say that it never lags and is more stable than my LG G4 would be a flat out lie. i'm not a software specialist so I wouldnt know about security. The way I see it is my iPad and IOS is great for media consumption and my android phone is to get shit done.
***** Check your numbers again. Single company (Apple) with limited phone sets has 47% of USA market. Four other companies combined!!! get 53% www.comscore.com/Insights/Rankings/comScore-Reports-January-2016-US-Smartphone-Subscriber-Market-Share 1 vs 4. Now as to security: 10 years kid from street can break into any Android phone in a matter of few minutes. Check few videos tutorial. FBI had hard time to break into one iPhone. Yes they did eventually. No system is 100% secure, but dont you see amount of efforts needed to break into? Type Samsung lag in RUclips search bar. That may open your eyes. PS: I wanted to switch from iOS to Android. A sort trip to local Costco and 3 min with brand new Samsung. The phone lags. In short it doesn't operate as smooth as two years old iPhone does.
+Skyler M Regardless the fact that I prefer iSO and I explained why and you prefer Android I have to say that you don't fall into street level rude conversations as many other Android users do. That is good thing. Much appreciated. PS: I am not on any Social network like FB, Instagram, etc, I simply like: Stability, Security and smooth operation of iOS. Have a nice weekends. :=)
Where did they go wrong in the battery life department? my ancient Note 3 used to get me 6.5-7 hours of screen on time out of the box with a smaller battery (3200)
The vertical split for comparision purposes of video stabilization is useless to me. A horizontal split would be much more useful so we can see the entire frame. You should try this method.
5:00 - I agree that it is not as useful as it could be. I guess they were thinking that the vertical split enhances _bouncing_, which happens when you walk. What is *_really_* bad is the huge parallax error (two identical Cars in the distance instead of half of one on each side). With proper Software they could *first* mount a couple of adjustable 'Phone Holders' onto a board or 'Handle Rigs' to accommodate random sized Phones that will come up in future. Then align the Phones correctly before doing the Test. The Software could produce a Split Screen view of horizontal, vertical and both diagonals all perfectly aligned. And that would be so much better. I do mention that once a year, thanks for bringing it up.
***** Those are some great ideas. But, somehow, we need to get their attention on this idea first. Jaime or Juan didn't reply to this post so they don't know what they are missing.
I am current iPhone 5 user who is seriously considering Note 7. I think I want to try customizing my phone, for once. I just hope it won't lag like some say it does. My iphone is cool enough, getting old though, like the security, so will wait to see the full reveal of new iphone next month. Meanwhile, Getting hard to NOT pull the trigger on the Note 7.
+Thanh Tran yeah, i agree that note 5 can be laggy but apple is just bad after updates. and the touch sensitivity is bad on apple devices too which makes it harder to use
Just upgraded from the note 5 to the 7. So far I like it much better than the 5. It's quicker, more options, and my battery lasts longer. For me it's right up there with the Note 4, which I absolutely loved!
7 months later, still nothing pushed to the Note5 despite Samsung cutting the Note7. What? My Note5 still has no GraceUX, and these are now getting pushed to the cheaper S7 models!? Are you kidding Me?
There are tons of custom ROMs with the edge panel for the note 5 and even the flat Galaxy s6 so that isn't really a hardware feature either and could easily come in a sofware update but knowing samsung it most likely won't.
Is the same result with every hardware update. For the most part, you do not need to jump to the new generation right away, been the same case with Apple's hardware or any other manufacturers for that matter. Companies like Apple or Samsung try to appeal to customers who have a device that is more than one year old since the new model is not drastically different from current one. The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s is a good example, or the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S7. The difference between this two pairs are incremental, Apple wanting to attract customers who own a iPhone 5s and Samsung owners with a Galaxy S5.
The note 5 is half the price of the Note 7 and that is the deal breaker, is the N7 twice as good as the N5? In fact the N5 has GG4, much better than GG5, water resistance, never needed and don't care. Prefer the camera on N5 as I use for business and extra pixels are good for scanning. The N5 goes up to 128gb where as the N7 doesn't. Not interested in iris scanner as it is a power drain and slower than the fingerprint. Speed tests show performance wise less than 5% difference in real life speed, that is not worth double the price. In fact the N5 is a bargain and very hard to recommend the N7 over it unless you need the bragging rights.
JakezMuzikProduction It will most likely be the S7 Edge. I iPhone 7 Plus is a good phone but it's screen resolution is no where near as good as the Note 7 or S7. i went from the s7 edge to the note 7 well worth it if you have the money to spare. much nicer software the secure folder is really neat and the curve does not take out to much of the screen size like the s7's did. Just my 2 ¢
+EmojiStickerz :P It's just so much different, for the better in my opinion. Faster, can do a lot more, but mainly the screen size! Crazy change there haha
nice video as always but it should be mentioned that with the Note 7, Samsung has done away with the excellent scrapbook, as well as action memo with the link -to-action functionality. I used both of these frequently. The Note 7 is still terrific but I'm disappointed these changes were made.

the Note7 has some cool changes maybe enough to upgrade to note7 but there are not big leap forward aside form the iris scanner which I see no good use of it.
I have a Note 5 and have used a Note 7. Let me just say that this upgrade is NOT worth it. Before the Note I had an S4 for over two year and aside from the improvements in battery life, the experience was nowhere near a night and day difference. Everything was just a little bit better. The difference between these will be nearly negligible I swear.

Hahaha no
lol. tell mr. Rivera that

Already preordered this beauty. Upgrading from the Note 4. Yeah, it's that time. Time to upgrade to the smartphone that is big, thinks bigger.
Still rockin' the Note 4 and happy with it!
Wait, on the first line, did you mean to say the Galaxy Note 5?
yes he did
Samsung skipped a number.
do Note 4 vs Note 7 PLZZZ....most of us skipped the Note 5 to get the Note 6/Note 7
It's a huge upgrade, at least for me
+1 on note 7 from 4
well hello there!! funny to find you here man! great live stream the other day. keep up the good work
I skipped too!
Note 4 😂😂
I'm still rocking my Note 3, but I'm definitely look to upgrade to the Note 7!
3:53 "sliding around menus is just as much of a delight"...as you can see the Note 5 lagging like crazy while scrolling up and down
Pleaseeee change the image of the Dbrand ADS !!!! Gracias
Note 3 broke a few months ago. wanted to import note 5, saw rumors about the 6 (7)release and decided to wait for it. gooood decision xD
Hahahaha, s4 broke, and I waited for the s7 xD
Have working note 5, waited whole year for note 6/7. Going to buy it :D
Really was
Jonas Lenz it's exploding now and it's not safe, I went with the note 5
Jaime your vid reminded me to order my DBrand skin for my Note 7. Orange on Black looks amazing!
Im looking to buy the note 5 or note 7 but i don't know if the extra features are worth the added price.
Great review but is it necessary to have the same ad before and after all your videos? We get it, DBrand sponsors you

dem *megapickles* though...

I agree. I need the camera review RIGHT NOW!!
how do You get game launcher on note 5? thanks.

took out some good features mainly action memo and priority senders in the text app

lag

I have a galaxy s6 edge should I upgrade to the note 7 or get the galaxy s7 edge?
Depends. Do you want a pen or a edge? Thats what it come down to
Is an aspect ratio of 4:3 bad?
personally im still running a note 3 and it is doing great, the water proofing would be the selling point for me though
I know you speak Spanish :) vale la pena comprar el note 7 ?? yo tengo note 4
"For Me" the wrap around display seems to make the screen feel smaller. I would rather have a straight edge design.
Nice review!
what's superretro16?
Note 7 camera in low light beats the shit out of note 5.
i have S7
and compare it to S6 yeah
it's like Galaxy vs iPhone
increase the shutter speed in PRO mode and it's as good (if you're willing to wait a sec and keep your shot steady :D )

This video had so many mistakes. You called the Note 7 Note 5 and vice Versa a couple of times
how else is watching this on there note 7?, the quality is amazing!
Another consideration not mentioned is the price difference. The note 7 is very pricy for a minimal update from still very capable the Note 5!
What would be the name of HD Resolution version, in 2018 upcoming 11K Display that are already started to be produced by Samsung...
Watching this on my note 5 waiting on my note 7 to arrive. I had to just pay 50$ to activate note 7 love being able to upgrade every year!!

yes please I all so feel you should do a 4 vs 7 I have a 4 and would not trade being able to change my battery out for anything new so far!!!
Currently own a Note5 and I love it. I do agree though that the Note7 is definitely worth the extra money.
7 mins of video and 4 mins are dbrand comercial .. where is the comparison 😎😎
Where can I buy refurbished note 5 att in low price?
*Now i'm stuck, do i swap my Note 7 for a Note 5 , S7 Edge, or iPhone 7*

soo lucky 🙂

I got a defective one and had to return and wait two days to get new one SMH
Do people really upgrade their phone so often? I'm still using my Note 3 for the 3rd year and it may last me another 2 year.
nice video as always but it should be mentioned that with the Note 7, Samsung has done away with the excellent scrapbook, as well as action memo with the link -to-action functionality. I used both of these frequently. The Note 7 is still terrific but I'm disappointed these changes were made.
Should i get the Note 5 32GB for $365 or the S6 64GB for $315?
note 5 stay away from S6 the battery life on S6 sucks bad i have one and i'm about to get rid of it. I'm heading towards either a Note 5 or Iphone 7 Plus.

Wow the bezel of the note 5 looks huge when compared to the curved effect of the note 7.
that's why black color is so much better than white
As a Note 5 owner I can honestly say "heft" has never been a word that sprang to mind holding it for the past year lol
True. But I like hefty phones. Holding a phone that's so light gets me nervous.
If only Note 7 didn't have that case, this might be one of the best Samsung smartphone in history...
its only got 100 pixels mre then s6 edge which isnt alot
nice review
I am so greedy for note 7 software. Really need that snappy touch to my s7!
Note 5 - rooted, de-bloated, custom kernel installed. No lag, no heat, excellent battery life. That's my mains reason not to downgrade to Note 7. Oh, and a 400 bucks difference.
Why he keep saying "this video is made possible by dbrand"
As a Note 5 owner, I agree with this video wholeheartedly.
Not a big difference between the 2 phones only resistant, memory and s pen features.
I would upgrade to the note 7, but the camera on my note 5 seemed a bit better with the exception of stability and low light performance.
inconsistent audio
Y'all really want these to be different phones when they are just too similar. Iris scanner could be done with software. And you got a new pen.
And then they started blowing up!
the galaxy note 7 has dual pixel AF
not PDAF
yeah, get the note 7. best bomb smartphone in the market
I have the note 3, 5 and 7 at home chilling
