Pro tip…. keep your rod in line with your line when coming over wood… this keeps your rod from loading up and letting your spinner bait from falling sideways and getting hung up!!!
on my white and chartreuse double willow spinnerbaits I always add a white swimbait. but i also add a blob of orange to the belly and a little on the tail. my favorite are the 1/2oz Terminators with painted blades. the fatter the swimbait/trailer the easier it is for them to suck in.
As a bank angler, I'm taking in the info and reversing it, if that makes sense. The heaviest spinnerbaits I throw are 1/4 ounce since I'm in shallow water. I need to check out 6th sense's paddle tail trailers.
Do you change your approach when fishing a lake that doesn't have shad? my home lake, a 500 acre private lake has a main forage of bluegill, crappie and yellow perch , I rarely throw a spinner bait because I feel its more of a shad mimicking bait
I fish alot of places with similar forage and a spinnerbait works great .try using Colorado blades.A white skirt with silver blade will mimic a baby crappie and a chartruse or a chart/lime with a gold blade will mimic the perch and bluegill
I’ve never gained the confidence in fishing a trailer on a spinnerbait. No trailer hook no trailer. Best results have always stemmed from just a spinnerbait fished right.
He mentions other baits semi regularly too, like zoom. He’s obligated to mention 6th sense but he always talks about alternatives. Your choice or not to listen ✊🏼
Appreciate the feedback while I do agree with the comments below I’ll do a better job mentioning alternatives and do have plans to do videos on other baits! It’s been hard to get variety lately and keep up sponsor obligations when I can’t keep up with regular content but now that I have the boat back should be good!

I love the Zman SlingbladeZ. The bluegill color with double gold willows is money in my local waters.
Looking forward to you showing us how to make a spinnerbait.

Me Too
I like to find an area of shore line free of lily pads or other flora that snag the spinner bait then drag the botton kicking up the sand

i think they can mimic minnows or baitfish too. i think all lakes have minnows

It can still work!
What gear ratio for the reel are you using on your spinnerbait rod? The 6.2?

Glad to see you finally used something besides 6th sense. Your videos have become kind of an infomercial for the brand
Tbh I can’t say I blame him. 6th sense makes amazing products. I’ve been using their stuff for the most part lately and done very well.
