  • Why? Because EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) crops - how big is the crop? And does use of EIS lower resolution? You can see here: the first image in each scene is with stabilization turned on, the next is when it is turned off. The transition will be obvious, since you will see the reduction in the crop when stabilization is turned off.
    These shots were made with the camera on a tripod. Shot in Slog2 and graded.

    Nice images but this is just showing the crop factor with stabilization on, but not how effective the stabilization is. Is there something else you are trying to show?

      That's correct. You can look for my many handheld RX0 ii 4K videos to see how effective the stabilization is.

    are you talking about the ''Steady Shot" settings if its on it'll crop the image?
