This is another method of the dip technique. I pour the paint onto a flat surface and then dip the canvas on top. It blends very well and gives the paint a different effect than just pouring. Colors used are VanDyke Brown, Burnt Sienna, Turquoise, Indigo and White. Brands used include Artist's Loft, Amsterdam Acrylics, Daler Rowney, and Jacquard Lumiere. I use water and Floetrol only in my paints. I do not measure it out to be extremely precise, but I would estimate about 1 to 1 on the Floetrol and paint and then just add water a little at a time until it is the consistency that I prefer.
If you have any questions or would like to see a color combo in this technique please let me know down below in the comments!

This hobby/pour painting is so forgiving. I'm glad you dipped the last one in the brown. Now it flows with the others.
I LOVE that you did this creation over three panels!! And that you utilized the left over paint on another canvas!! I haven’t started with my pour painting ‘career’ but I will be starting out with smaller canvasses 5x7”. I had a stroke 20 years ago and have no use of my left arm/hand, so I will be coming up with alternative ways of doing things - and perhaps creating some pretty different effects along the way! If they work out, I may post them and perhaps other folks with handicaps will look at them and realize that they CAN create artistic things in spite of their handicap!
Thank you so much! I hope you can figure out some ways to create some beautiful art!! I know that finances can be tight (especially right now) but maybe you could look into a rotating or swivel easel. This might make it easier for you to move a canvas around with one hand after pouring paint. Dipping is also super easy and would hopefully be something that you can do without too much difficulty. I used parchment paper to dip on but I would highly recommend freezer paper aka butcher paper. It works MUCH better.
What a relief to see someone getting more product from the paint Like the idea of a parchment working surface.
Thank you for sharing .
Thank you! I've found that freezer paper works much better than the parchment.
These turned out great, love the colors, I definitely think freezer paper would be great for this using shiny side, won’t go limp with the moisture.
Beautiful! The fact that it is NOT PERFECT, is the PERFECTION. I love the background music. Your work is soooooo inspiring! Going to pour a few colors, and enjoy. Thank you!
Beautiful. Very nice idea, Clever and creative. Thanks for sharing your art and inspiration. 👩🎨🖌🎨🍀🦓💖🇺🇸
Thank you so much 😊
This came out much prettier than I ever imagined it would, fantastic .
A wonderful new way to do Acrylic painting and it looks like fun. And a new way to do abstract painting. Thank u.
I love your work. You know when to quit and not over do it. Most times less means more. Beautiful works!
I came across this video by accident (searching woodturning videos) and found myself watching it through to the end. This is something new to me and was very pleasing to watch. To me, the finished results could be photographs from a Cassini flyby. Very beautiful.
I have just started recently watching the videos of this acrylic pour type of painting. I am hooked. As soon as I can I will start this as my second hobby. Photography is my first. I have found many ways change any photo into something else. I have been lucky enough to sale some of my work. This medium is super interesting I can spend hours watching and learning the different techniques. I almost ready to tackle this.
Such a beautiful grouping of art. I truly enjoyed watching this video and you have inspired me to get creative. Thanks for sharing such great talent!
Love how it turned out, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this technique.

Great techniques! I like how you recovered the all blue canvas to have brown on it asl well. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for showing us the colors and how to dip if one color doesn't get on the canvas. I love the brown and blue together......quite elegant
Thank you Amanda. Beautiful colors, nice composition!!!!!! From Portugal!
Excellent set of paintings.
I love this technique, and that you get so much from a single pour. Will have to try this one too. My favourite colours.
Absolutely LOVE this technique! Your pieces are just beautiful! I'll be trying this next...
clever use of colors....simply clever
that is an awesome techinique. I can't wait to try it out. Thank you for the tutorial.
Oh my word! I love it!! and the technique! I love watching the pours but don't like the paint waste.. and you did a lot of "themed" canvases , no waisted paint!! I have now been fulfilled! Haha thank you!
Cool technique! Thanks for sharing. Love the color combo. Love the coaster idea!
Beautiful. What a great technique. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Very pretty. I use the plastic tablecloths from Walmart. Three in a pack and I just cut them down to the size I need. Works much better than parchment paper for me.
That's a great idea! I stick with freezer paper now :)
That looks wonderful! I love the contrast!
Great technique! Ty for sharing. I would like to try that. Beautiful results!
First time seeing you, this is simple and easy I will do this tonight I like your colors and freeze paper.

Thank you Amanda. You are an inspiration.
I can't wait to try it myself. Beautiful pouring paint!
Beautiful tutorial. I learned so much about dipping, thank you.
Great result💙💙💙
What a great idea pouring on to parchment. Hadn’t thought on that, tried today doing a pour for the first time, not at all good but it hasn’t stopped me wanting to do it this way, instead of straight on to canvas. Thank you so much for this idea, 👍🏽 Scotland
Many thanks Amanda. Found some in the cupboard. Will be having a go tomorrow. Seeing your wooden cup holders gave me an idea. A parcel arrived with the packaging, exactly the same as your wooden one. Absolutely perfect, heavy plastic cup and inside that a see through plastic thin throwaway cup, which I wash of course, until it disintegrates 🤣👍🏽❤️
Absolutely fascinating and fabulous! Love it! You are wildly creative! Can't wait to see more!
Maravilhoso !!!!!!!amei todos os efeitos...espetacular........obrigada por me ensinar essa tecnica maravilhosa

Freezer paper is good to use for this. Your 'waste' will dry .. giving you 'skins' which you can then peel off and use for other things. Good video .. thanks for sharing xx
beautiful work i love it.thank you very much and happy holidays.
Hello Amanda. Just found your channel. This turned out gorgeous! I love those colours together. I love that you are so brave to re dip that first one! Always so scary!! The result is stunning.
Very pretty..I love them all...now I want to try that :)
Wax paper also gets bumpy and weird. Guess the foil might be best, unless you've tried butcher paper. I think that is waxy on one side. Great results and an interesting idea. 👍👍👍 They look feathery. Pretty!
I'm very impressed with your talent. God bless you. I enjoyed it so much. Thanks for sharing it with us

BEAUTIFUL PIECES....THANKS FOR SHARING....LOVE THE COLOR PALETTE....:)
Beautiful!!
Perfect! Amazing.
I know you've disabled comments on the blue + cling film video, but wanted to say I think it is courageous of you to experiment 'live'. Experimentation is the only way to learn and to push the barriers. You didn't ruin anything, you taught us something. Thank you for that. The creative mind constantly asks, 'What if?'
I used to work (and play) a lot with distressed paint finishes (ragging, dragging, colour-wash, etc) and faux finishes, especially marblizing and this is the same mind set. I found cling film works better if you gather it in the hand, like a cleaning rag and kind of peck at the surface. Easier to manipulate. Currently my paint bench isn't set up, I'm making childrenswear for my sins, lol!

So Beautiful !!
Beautiful, thank you!
Absolutely love this technique.... I will give this a try
If you will throw a hand full of water on the backside of the canvas and spread it around with your hand. Make some of the water go down under the stretcher strips so the line of the stretcher strips won't show. Let it dry before you dip or pour on it. You won't believe how tight the canvas will be. It will give you solid coverage at the stretcher stripes and you'll have no white areas.
Adorei muito lindooo seu trabalho e maravilhoso Deus abençoe vc sempre
