ps: I messed up every lick I tried to play on this guitar, my hands were shaking, I mean, I waited 25 years of my life to play and hear one of these guitars! I was about 2 years old when I watched the Aloha From Hawaii and would ask my parents to get me a pink guitar like James Burton's. Never expected my life to turn this way and be in an Elvis tribute touring production! I always walk into vintage guitar stores hoping to see an original pink paisley and today it finally happened!

I have a 69 original paisley like this. Curious what the price tag was for this one?

This one in my opinion was definitely overpriced. I think the tag said 18,500? if I am not mistaken. It had a big check on the finish, and you could hear the paper moving under it, not glued correctly. I've seen online a few that were almost brand new, with the color still standing out for about 14/15k. One in Vegas a couple years ago was 14,000 but almost no checks in the finish, color was vibrant, paper didn't age much. So not sure why this one in particular was so out of the price tag.

I wish! It was definitely overpriced to what it is though... a friend of mine who is an expert in paisleys also mentioned to me this week that this guitar had a refinish at some point.. so yeah, almost 19k is way too high for it! But one day I might find the one! The pickups on this one were KILLER! ⚡️

It was a bit overpriced in my opinion...I believe they were asking 18500-19000 USD... for the condition it was, even though the color was gorgeous but faded, the finish had a lot of cracks, and some of the paper wasn't glued properly... Last time I saw one was in Las Vegas, and they asked 14000, but the color was really close to the original, and pristine condition. Hopefully in the future another one pops up with a better price and condition!

@@UltimateElvisGuitar Wow ... not cheap, seems only James Burton himself could afford it. I got a Japanese Pink Paisley copy about 15 years ago, then about 10 years ago I got Fender USA Custom Shop to make me a 1969 Pink Paisley. Its beautiful and they even reproduced the 1969 case. Took about 9 months and it was nowhere near as expensive.
