Joe, Obama and the special guests retell one of the greatest Dragon age Companions Origin Story. Music, Lore and Degeneracy inbound!
I know with all the concern regarding voices you might be worried trumps voice was taken but fear not I still have the original and a back up I just wanted to fight writers block by doing some different with the three special episodes. Hope yall enjoyed and if not the original episodes will be back very shortly!

Absolutely love this play through. It's so funny and entertaining, but also weirdly educational? I don't usually like watching people play origins because at this point I've played the game nearly 7 times over and I'm too deep in the lore. But this is the first play through I've actually enjoyed. Didn't think it was gonna be presidents play... but here I am, invested in the drama and the appreciation of this fantastic game.
Looking forward to the next episode! I'm gonna keep coming back as we hype up for veilguard.

My biggest praise of using AI presidents is how easy it is to do long winded lore drops while still being entertaining since its not just one person yapping about lore its 3. I'm glad I can give content to dragon age fans they enjoy and even teach a few people something new about this amazing series.
Really enjoyed George’s presence, wouldn’t mind if he was in the Veilguard playthrough.

That jam session by Joe went hard. I played the DLC once and wasn't the biggest fan but also didn't hate it. I just thought it was interesting.
It was a safe pick for a dlc and everything about it definitely felt safe not amazing but not bad
I just watched the debate and this channel and prime have officially twisted my perception on it. I can't not imagine them going back to playing some mass effect or Dragon age later this weekend.

Honestly valid this and the feastday dlc were the only two I didn’t buy when they came out and I didn’t end up playing it till the ultimate edition a few years later . I think the promotion for this wasn’t the best and also on the surface i didn’t think this was going to be new content because Leliana already told us a pretty concise story in the base game of what happened. That being said this dlc is still good and it does have important context to the overall series (plus the soundtrack is the best bangers from DA2)

Howdy! Back again to inform you that the trap-maker playthrough kinda fell off. Tried lots of stuff in the early game but found that lots of encounters have rangers of some kind, so using items to trap melee units took too long and I eventually got stuffed by arrows and bolts.
So I've started a new playthrough, a warrior using a crossbow and poisoner tree. We aren't using poisons though, we are on that grenade run. Massive Armor, Crossbow, Grenades. Mix in some exploding/fire/freezing bolts for extra fun.
using grenades and poisens are great I hope you have fun! Using a rogue could be benficial for that since you can stealth and use bombs in stealth while not being discovered but i hope you enjoy the warrior playrhough all the same!. I was abit worried about traps as their are some areas they are not useable in and they do require you to know the best spot on the maps to use them ! Good luck on your journey man!
BG3 is my only window into D&D but I really enjoy Bush's constant D&D-talk in the beginning. Please more D&D- or Game-mechanics-talk.
As I played BG3, I started noticing, that appearantly quite some games use D&D mechanics, like Pillars of Eternity. But ... tbh I have no idea how DAO works. Just played it intuitively and never felt the need to immerse myself in DAO-mechanics ... or rather I was to young to appreciate or just care for such things.
By the way: For some strange reason I really liked the strange stealth parts in The Witcher 2 (in Flotsam and in the Kaedwen-Garrison, I think). Felt nice and realistic although the stealth mechanics are very reduced. Perhaps that is what I liked.

Actually the last stealth game I thought to be really good in respect to its stealth was Splinter Cell. Chaos Theory (perhaps Double Agent too, but back then the game always crashed on my pc, so I only played it for a few hours).

Here are some other ways this dlc could have been great first make us stay away from the city watch and give us some throw able sleeping potions heck just turn the health potions into a purple fusion.

Knocking out a guard each is 45 with killing one is one sovereign. We can start with four sovereigns in our inventory with us needing two gold pieces for a bloodmage in Denurim trying to destroy his phlataring in return a way into the keep.
There is our choice Marjorlian has it out for the Watch Captain and has an apostate willing to pay for the us to destroy it with a three party waiting for you outside.
(Leader)Watch Captain is a mace, shield user that is a spirt warrior like loghan.
(Mage)Denruim mage is a bold headed officially caster for the city guard with being a healer.
(Rogue Crossbow women) An armored with no helmet or gloves with a bad haircut.
If you choose to not destroy that blood vail with both tug and stitch implying that guy isn't going to do anything good if the templats aren't on his trail with him attacking you like a the watch captain.
(Leader) The Blood mage had all the abilities of a blood mage.
(Warrior) His silent guard called Armored Thug with a two handed axe that he'll coat in poison.
(Assassin) With an antivan crow with the shadow ability appearing only in the fight.
If you choose to do what Marjorlian said you'll get Lelina with a tier 5 dagger and one gold with the guard captain a enchanted bow only two silver and 11 copper.
I never use her as an archer
It was an okay DLC. I think Leliana's armor should have been removed for the jail scene, but other than that, pretty straightforward story. I headcanon that Leliana tells it after we kill Marge in the main game. My Leliana had dual weapon skills in the main game anyway, so I let her dual wield in this DLC. I also brought her back to the estate during the Anora rescue quest. I could feel her giving my Cousland the worried look when he met up with Anora, but he did tell her they should just be friends.
Brining Leliana to the estate is thematic as hell definitely its almost like a trip down memory lane for her at that point

I hate stealth segments in an RPG. I can never get it to work. I'm biased, so no surprise I never played Leliana's Song. But the story was interesting, with so many possibilities if it was a stand alone game. I didn't care for Joe's song, though.
Lelina's Song is disappointing even without any stealth mechanics the story is predictable and boring characters.
The tone of pre-blight is neat we could have gone without that cringe opening and more choice's with quest like helping the underground criminals or the city guard.
One thing they could have made this a decent dlc was if Lelina brought over stuff in the main game gold with a limit even the choices could had her with Tugs dagger or an enchanted bow.
Those are definitly good suggestions I also think the pre blight ferelden was a perfect setting and they could have done alot more with that then briefly showing a younger Vaughan
