  • How many times can we squeeze "NEAT" into one Video? Fed up with work requirements needing me to stay in cell coverage, We made a break for it and pushed South into Baja Mexico.
    The Border crossing was easy, the people kind & helpful and the roads fairly fair! We went from Tecate to Ensenada and then over to San Felipe on the Sea of Cortez.
    Unwinding, we got a knock on the back of the Truck and low and behold it was Jo who we'd just seen in the His and Hers Vlogs video a week earlier. RUclips Stars Everywhere!!!
    We spent the evening getting schooled by Sonja and Jochen of @mut_anfall about all the great things to see while we're down here in Baja!
    Sorry Jo, forgot to call out your Instagram handle in the video....

    WOW!
    You sure picked some great spots!
    I thought that your best strength was the detailed planning and execution of creating the AWESOME rig and it's systems.
    Now that you are in this phase, it seems that you do just as well in planning and executing you travel locations.
    I'd LOOOOOOOOOOVE to see a video on how you work out that process. Have FUN guys! • 😃

    Howdy, been watching some of your vids. Neat to see you are on your adventure, and your border crossing was easy. Have fun and will look for y'all at OE. Really the thing which most stands out about y'all's rig is its shape. Clearly cutting edge, and very evident when you had the side by side shot of the friends you hooked up with. Also liked the stay two or three days comment from the travelers.

    Some very familiar shots in this vid...My Dad and I (and the rest of us) drank Pina' Colladas in hollowed-out pineapples on that very spot in San Felipe'! I hope to see the Salton Sea area after the Expo...VERY envious right now! Have fun!

    Baja is the best place to explore the first time i went to san felipe in 1990 i loved it so much i bought a lot in san felipe in el dorado ranch. As a base camp for me and my friends and a jumping off point to explore the baja. Enjoy your time, go slow and absord its beauty. Try to spend at least 2 to 3 days at each spot.

      Thanks Robert, we really do need to get rid of our old travel mentality of see, move fast, see more move again. Time to slow down for sure!

    Living the dream extremely envious not sure if you're near surfing beaches but you have to hire boards and have a crack at it you won't regret it and just a tip bigger the board will make it little easier phil from oz

    There were a couple of Neat's that the counter missed. Could you recalibrate the Neat counter? We need an accurate accounting of all the Neat's. It's very important for me and all the trolls that live in my mom's basement. Neat.

    @everlanders what and where is the video explaining air brake pots that hold you living box to the frame and why? Am super curious.

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  5 лет назад

      The brake pots allow the frame to flex away from the box, if mount ridged, offroad twisting would damage the composite panels. It's shown in the early videos.

    Wonderful advice at the end! On UuuTuuub seems like everyone moves fast so they get new an exciting content for next week's video. The 10Gb data is a bit limiting. Hopefully things having changed a bit in the last couple of years.

    Neat is an understatement when concerning your build....WOW! Super impressive and inspirational!
    Question regarding the mini (mini :-) ) split AC: how has it held up to the "abuse" of the roads (or lack of)? Also, when using the AC, how critical is it to have the unit level? I realize that with all AC units you want to be level as possible, but someone posted on a forum that the Forest is especially sensitive to small angles of incline/decline and because of this it wouldn't be a good option for campers or non-traditional uses. But I read you both are happy with the purchase (besides the less than perfect efficiency) and that it worked to keep you cool........I tend to trust real-world (vs the keyboard experts amongst us) so I wanted to get your opinion. Thank you and I look forward to the next video.

      The mini split air conditioner is working perfectly, we've being bouncing through hurricane tormented roads for the last week and running it everyday just for fun because we have a surplus of solar...

      @@Everlanders awesome! I'll likely pull the trigger and buy. I don't have a cool everlander, but need a cooling solution for my small camper. The smaller form factor and the low wattage will be perfect. My only hesitation was the durability and "angle" when parked. Looks like I can cross that off the list.
      Thank you for the fast reply. :-)

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  5 лет назад

      I think that "angle" when parked idea came from old ammonia cooling systems that rely on gravity trickling back down through the coils and would gather at the low end of the coils. But I think if your truck is relatively upright, enough that your coffee stays in the cup, it'll be fine.

    • @theneodj
      @theneodj 5 лет назад

      @@Everlanders Never liked the taste of coffee, but most definitely tend to keep the "cold ones" flowing when camping.... Whether there is any spillage is another matter-might depend on the time of night. Lol
      Thanks again and safe travels :-)

    that took me a minute to figure you, they are from Germany, had their truck shipped into Halifax and made the journey from there. I misunderstood. I thought you said they were from Halifax.
    Could not agree more, life is about the journey, taking time as you travel is just as important as where you are headed to. Each time I travel I always try and ask a local "where is someplace cool around here that tourist never see" Everyone has a spot to recommend, and they are normally amazing.
