  • Short video explaining how to remove the bumper on a TT mk3, and covering a wee bit of how to change the grill. Apologies for the terrible camerawork and editing.

      Only thing I can think of is that the electrical connector behind the right hand grill which connects to the crash sensors might not be plugged in properly?

    Workshop is quoting me £80 to get it fitted. Worth it? (I've never done any body work on cars)

    Did you need to buy the crash bar cover or was yours included in the grill?

    • @jeebsy718
      @jeebsy718  4 месяца назад

      I'm pretty sure the foam bit behind the grill covers the crash bar, depending on the grill you might need to trim it slightly (on the side which does not have the recess for the sensor wire)

    Can the smaller side grills be removed without taking off the bumper?

    • @jeebsy718
      @jeebsy718  11 месяцев назад

      I believe so, they should pull out forwards

    • @caneytt
      @caneytt 11 месяцев назад

      Ok great, want to pull them out so can clean all the black plastic behind them. Definitely no clips holding them in as far as you can remember?

    • @jeebsy718
      @jeebsy718  11 месяцев назад

      @@caneytt there are clips but i thought they could be released from the front - looking back at pictures, I'd probably recommend taking the bumper off actually as the clips are different to what I remembered

    Looks gr8. Do you have a link for this grill?

    • @jeebsy718

      I got it from a place called VAG Customs but they were clearing out old stock, don't think they're trading any more unfortunately. Ultimate Customs do very similar ones though.

    Let me get this straight. You took off a honeycomb grille to put on…… another honeycomb grille. 😂

    • @jeebsy718
      @jeebsy718  Год назад +1

      Yep, because the aftermarket style honeycomb grill that was originally fitted caused issues with the parking sensors...so the solution was a different honeycomb grill.
