I also have B&O standard speakers in my mk3. One of the previous owners must have had a screw loose as they have Blown the main front drivers!! 🙄 So I guess I’ll be upgrading soon too.

I’m surprised a TTRS doesn’t have the B&O system as standard, or why you wouldn’t order the car from new with it, I have a tts with it and it sounds very good, it’s not the best car system I have had but worth the upgrade as you get the amp and sub as well
I didn’t buy the car new as they are £70k so had to settle for what I got. Yes I’m surprised they are not specced with the b&o either. I have an amp and sub coming so the build will be better than b&o once I’m finished

Thanks, the bloody GoPro failed at that point so didnt get the footage but its easy, 3 clips to pull back and the main unit just pops out and a small connector with a tiny leaver to just release it. No issues.

This car has got B&O speakers fitted already hasn't it?? (you can see the silver strip on top of the door speaker grills) Am I missing something? (apologies if I am!)

Great info and vid. For my mk3 I added an Audison APBX 10 AS2 active sub under the floor in the boot. It raises the floor slightly but otherwise you wouldn’t know it’s there. It sounds great and comes with a bass control switch discreetly installed in the centre arm rest area.

B&O system is pretty bad to be fair, and the speakers blow frequently if you listen to some EDM.
