Same fam! Been a fan of Bone since then we used to rap over the Sega music in the music player of this song! So when we hear Bone doing it at a way higher level it blew my mind!
I got this game as a whim from a pawn shop when I was young. All of this time I had no idea that there were TWO bone thugs songs involved in it. I always loved the soundtrack for this game.
I remember this video game. Man, this game was dope af. I was blown away as a child when I ran across the "Crossroads" with this sample. I think it was a bonus track on one of their albums. My siblings and I were able to pick away samples from songs at a young age without having to Google it.
It wouldn't have been a bonus track. The original 1995 release of the E 1999 Eternal album had this version on it. The next year Bone redid the song entirely and replaced this original with the new version on all releases going forward due to it's popularity. You likely were listening to an original copy of the album. Or you could have heard it on their 1998 album The Collection Vol 1 where they re-released this track and several other songs that were harder to find.
@@solblackguy It is a mashup much like how people mashup two different versions of the same tune. It may have been sampled but you don't hear the Genesis sounds in Crossroads.
@@shellyeager6318 It is. You can make whatever technical excuse you want but it's still a mashup even if it's between a song and a track that sampled it much like that mashup with Dragon Ball and Stratovarius.
This mix is dope AF!!! I can hear the video game version still through this version. This is genius. This song should have blown up. This should have been a single. I never understood why they didn't release this version after the original "Crossroads" song.
This was the original on the E 1999 Eternal album. But then Eazy-E died, Uncle Charles died, I think Lazye baby died, and another friend died in a drive by saving someone else. Hence the remix coming out
But how many of you figured out the "finishing fatalities" for the game without cheating!? Still to this day I think they're the only fighting game to have them be activated in that manner.. this game was truly one of my all time favorites. I naturally flipped out like most of you as well hearing Bone use it.. when I gave it more thought it made sense "Eternal"😁
Man, I remember playing this game a ton, and accidentally getting a fatality. I tried over and over and could never get it again. Wasn't a popular enough game for others that I knew to learn fatalities from. Simpler times.
I have an idea for a mix. You should mix Ledzepplens Kashmir and Diddys come with me with Golden eyes level select menu. They sound the same but it would make a dope mix.
@@solblackguy right, I’m aware of that. I’m saying like how clean versions sometimes have vocals mixed differently or sometimes it’s an entirely different take. They did that with creepin on ah come up radio version and thuggish rightish bone mtv version.
@@dnmstarsi there was suppose to be a sexual with over 30 alternate endings it would have characters called infernals or something and they’d fight the cast and they would fight for the timeline
this song also makes me sad also about the peeps in the credits who lost the war during the console wars love ya man
This is actually the original Crossroads. This was the album version before Tha Crossroads came out. It replaced the original.
When this came out, EC and The album. I heard the similarity... No one believed
I remember 1st playing this game as a kid, then hearing bone thugs E album. My first legit geek out lol
Same here dude lol. Same. It was me, my older brother and little sister.
Me 3

@@phily-phil - I may need to look into this collection album. I own a Bone Greatest Hits but the original Crossroads isn't on it.
@@phily-phil This is accurate. I still have the original released cassette
Another classic mix taken from Yuzoboy Remix Collection 6. Enjoy folks!
you never disappoint me
Is this collection on soundcloud?
Amazing mix
This is the greatest mash-up of all time idc what anyone says.
The beginning was epic.
It's not a mash-up, this track was originally sampled for the song

Nice!!!! I always loved the fact that they sampled video game theme music it's sounds darker without the studio mixing this way I love it like this
All credit goes to DJ UNeek. He so underrated
This is too amazing
This was dope. It really reflected the bad ending of the game. Perfect mix.
Yep. The hero you're playing as has lost the fight, the future is screwed and now, the hero is back to being dead.
I loved playing this game on my Genesis
I always liked this verson best
my first party was on repeat and the instrumental because was a single...so lit remix
This game is so fucking creepy.
kullenberg and that's what makes it all the more better I love this game
Slim Joker One of the best games ever
@@kullenberg Altered Beast was another creepy game, at least when I was a kid lol
This is so underrated of a mash up! Very nice work sir!
what video game is this sampled from?
@@shaperesurection Eternal Champions. Sega Genesis game.

i died on purpose just to watch this
dope shit bro...
But true classic.

For those asking this is on th cassette version of E1999
I wish this was on the game
It almost sounds like their vocals are mixed different than the album version....what version is this?
It's the original before the remix
@@solblackguy right, I’m aware of that. I’m saying like how clean versions sometimes have vocals mixed differently or sometimes it’s an entirely different take. They did that with creepin on ah come up radio version and thuggish rightish bone mtv version.
They sampled the whole game.
Xavier main!
This feels like the cannon ending to the series because there never was a sequel.
There kinda was. The Sega CD version is apparently a semi-sequel to a proposed trilogy of EC.
@@dnmstarsi there was suppose to be a sexual with over 30 alternate endings it would have characters called infernals or something and they’d fight the cast and they would fight for the timeline
Alternatively, Xavier won. Check his ending and you’ll see why I believe this.
✊🙏🔥
Good job
I just found out they sampled this song. I’m 40.
Better late than never :)
I wanted to hear it without the words:(
