- The Disney stars sparkle like never before in this nighttime parade of lights and music. With Mickey and his pals, including characters from Aladdin, Toy Story and other Disney films, appearing on colorful floats, nighttime at Tokyo Disneyland is even more fantasy-filled.
The new version of the ever-popular nighttime parade features five new floats and LED lighting enhancing the sparkle. Making their first appearance will be Anna and Elsa on a float designed like the icy castle from the Disney film Frozen, while the parade unit for the Disney film Cinderella has been redesigned. Making a comeback after being retired in July 2011 is a float inspired by the Disney film Beauty and the Beast.
This contains the most GRAND and beautiful rendition of Small World I’ve ever heard! CHILLS EVERY TIME!
Surely I'm not the only one who cries at the It's a small world part. That chorus bit is just beautiful
It sounds so grand. I love it
finally figured out who the voice behind the announcements is, *HER* name is Melissa Atwell. she *ALSO* performed the bug sounds in the "Alice" section as well as Elliot's "talking" from the "Pete's Dragon" float.
She did the vocoded announcements?!

You are amazing
I would die if either Disneyland or Magic Kingdom receives a version like this. It would make (sadly admits) the outdated parade feel modern while keeping what made the original special and we could get an even newer version of the soundtrack. That alone would be a game changer.
back when Dismeyland's MSEP visited Magic Kingdom the first time ('99-'01) they were initially going to replace Spectromagic with dreamlights. but changed their mind. that's how Tokyo ended up getting Dreamlights.
22:09-22:47 just gives me goosebumps! I LOVE IT!
My favorite part! -VJ
Omgsh💙💙
Me too
I love this part
The intro sound is literally thee reason I fell in love with electronic music as a kid in the 90s
Why does the Small World part always want to make me cry
In a perfect world:
“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime dreams and fantasy...in millions of sparkling lights, and brilliant musical sounds! _The Main Street Electrical Parade...Dreamlights!”_
Oh darn don't get me excited haha
Rather unlikely, as Disneyland has the smallest Parade Routes, and those behemoths would never fit.
You'd get like maybe 4 of those floats
@@Shadowwand literally. Tokyo’s floats are almost all over 12 feet & up. Not to mention how massive these floats are. Paint the Night is the best Disneyland will get for a while. If it ever returns
It should be Good evening and welcome one and all.
Love the It's a Small World part!!
Once you hit the 21 minute mark it gets to the good part!!! Great mixing!
青が夜空みたいで、ローマ字が星々みたいで綺麗✨
One day, my dream is to see this nighttime parade live in person 💚🙏🙏🙏
It’s only a matter of time before they add Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Moana to this parade. Then it will be just as good as the original Main Street Electrical Parade here in the U.S. Please bring it back Disneyland!
I'd never thought u comment on here!
Even Encanto.
Awesome.
it made my Monday night.
thank you so much.
It's so funny listening to some of the character voices in Japanese, hearing that some of them absolutely had to be doing impressions of the original voices! I thought the same thing listening to the recent Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers. It's so cute honestly.
It is! And a lot of the same voices used for the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts show up in attractions, shows and parades at Tokyo Disney Resort, like Dreamlights!
I was waiting for this to come.

Tokyo Disneyland's electrical parade Dreamlights
The intros of the parade were recorded in English, except in Disneyland Paris where the intro was predominantly in French and the title of the parade remained in English.
SO happy about these updates!!
22:15 - "it's a small world"
I'm hopeful Disneyland in California would get the same type of Electrical Parade as Tokyo's version...
Friend, I doubt it, I say because the Electrical Parade that we have is the original, with the music of Dreamlights but it is the classic, which started it all, while in Japan have a more updated version called Electrical Parade Dreamlights, and if they change it for Dreamlights in these parks many people would not like it because they prefer the original, apart from that both Electrical Parade and Electrical Parade Dreamlights have the same music, although it is true, Dreamlights is also a pretty parade, if it brought to America or Disneyland Paris would be called "Main Street Electrical Parade Dreamlights".
It is version 2.0 of the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade 1985-1995, which in its turn is the same Main Street Electrical Parade only changed its name because Tokyo Disneyland does not own Main Street USA as well as step in DCA happened to be Disney's Electrical Parade, the point is that if the original MSEP goes and bring the Dreamlights version would be rare that both had the same music, Dreamlights apparently was made only for Japan since it was more accepted and the original Electrical Parade hard little apart we have another version more updated than if it is not a replacement of MSEP that is called Paint the Night.
Yes I understand that Tokyo has their version of the Electrical Parade I know all those facts and thats fine. What I'm trying to say is that Disneyland should receive the same treatment that Tokyo got in that the parade floats should get a makeover unique to Disneyland in California much like Tokyo has theirs, the soundtrack got an upgrade why not the the floats, also keep in mind some of these parade units are original still and have been in use since the 70's and you can tell that there's a lot of milage on them if you had the chance to look at them up close, also take into consideration that some of them have been used in other Disney parks around the world including Walt Disney World for the last 6 years which has the most unfavorable weather conditions for any parade or performer. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the parade as much as anyone dose and Paint the Night is my second favorite second on my list, but this parade as historical as it is deserves to be as Walt would put it "Plus it" make it better.
It would be nice to see this version in another park, but because Japan has the extra money (and the fact TDL isn't owned or operated by Disney) they cannot duplicate that in the other Disney Parks.
Geeker1982 instead of this we are getting the crappy Pixar Play Parade from California Adventure and California Adventure is getting paint the night
🤞🤞I hope🤞🤞
great job
Makes me miss MSEP's last run in Anaheim 2017
TDL's run is starting to rival the original DL run in terms of its length
21:05 😢🎉 its a small world

*Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights!*
Just so you know, we haven't been able to watch a single Electric Parade in France since the 90's. They simply took it away, what a loss...
If you’re talking about any electric parade, then that’s not true. The last electric parade in Paris was Fantillusion in 2012.
@@ErikCB912In Tokyo. My comment was specific about France.
@@amelieaudrain7712 yes I know you were talking about Paris. Fantillusion was in Paris from 2003 to 2012
Man o man do I miss the MSEP.....
21:12 anyone else think parts of this sound like something out of toy story
it does sound a lot like randy newman!

Wow Cinderella
Can you do a Xmas version of this audio, please?
i still do not understand why some characters speak english and others don't. it's just confusing
Ya i was wondering that too. What's the thought process there???
@@rosem3240 that's the same thing they do in Disneyland Paris. You get both English and French lines, to allow more guests as possible to enjoy the show since it is a park visited by people from all over Europe. It's a Small World even has entire segments of the song in Italian, German, Spanish and so on. I've never been to Tokyo Disneyland but I figure the thought process would be the same since it is a park visited not just by the locals, but also by all the tourists coming from all over the world while staying in Tokyo.
La música que ponen Chespirito jaja

How come it's in English if it's the disneyland tokyo parade?
International resorts mix the local language (Japanese, French, Cantonese and Mandarin) with English, to appeal to the local population and international guests
Yo el chapulín colorado no contaban con mi astucia
Is there an English version of Mickey, Minnie and goofy on drum and train?
nope. :(
Why? They're in Japan.......🙃🙃🙃

Does anyone know if the electrical parade will still be running next year in spring? I saw the electrcial parade in Florida, I really hope i get to see this in Tokyo next year :-)
Hi! Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights will most likely be running during your trip. I'd suggest checking the schedule in-park during your visit for the latest information as it doesn't seem like Tokyo Disney Resort publishes that information on their website. Hope that helps!
am I the only one who finds the transition between Frozen to "Small World" odd?
There have always been awkward transitions between units, some just work better due to how the loops are designed. The 26-minute limit seems to lend itself to some very awkward pacing, though.
I feel it's because when they replace old floats for newer ones, it kind messes with the flow of its soundtrack. But the transition isn't something to worry about

Would you happen to have the 2017 and onward christmas version of Dreamlights?! there used to be one, but that account is gone sadtimes...
Ho my
Tbh after listening to the original soundtrack, I think they kinda ruined it lol
