I halted attempting to fix my shredder two weeks ago because I have not been able to open it, 'all' the screws have been sitting in a cup with me every few days going back to the shredder trying to pry it open. I find this video and there is indeed a screw underneath the label - THANK YOU. Worth adding that this tip likely applies to most fellowes paper shredder models, I have the p-48C.
The shredder I had wasn't working well and this video taught me about the extra screw I needed to take out, I removed the cover and cleaned the gears with tweezers. Just make sure that the needle that activates the shredder is put back in place. You'll know when you hear a click sound when you press on it. It'll click the metal strip. You'll know what I'm talking about once you open it. Thanks for the video.
This was actually very helpful because I got frustrated and almost ripped my P-8C apart trying to get it open. Then ... oh, yes. There is a hidden screw under one of the labels.... Ha! Thanks!
I have a fellows shredder PS-67CS model. I accidently put a hard card in the paper section and it sopped, the teeth looked blocked is there any way to fix this?Betty
Well I can't even get the screws out of this thing. I was only able to remove one screw, and that was with an "eyeglasses kit repair screwdriver!" I must have just "been fortunate" that it took out that one screw, because it didn't work for the identical screw just a few inches away from the screw I "was just lucky" to have got a loose. I went and purchased a longer screwdriver with that same "funny tip" that was on the end of that "eyeglasses repair kit screwdriver," thinking maybe, suddenly for whatever reason, that "eyeglasses repair kit screwdriver" just didn't want to work on that same type screw, a few inches away from rhat screw that I "was just lucky enough to have been able to renoved with it. Well, I've purchased another yet "skinnier long screwdriver" with that funny tip, and that doesn't work, period. It's longer and skinnier and I still can't unscrew any of the remaining six screws! I can't even get to that screw that's supposed to be covered with the label. I'm sick sick sick and tired of this thing! This video didn't help me st all because I was hoping that the person would be showing what type of a screwdriver he used to remove the screws, but no! Just said basically take the screws out and make sure you check for that screw that's under the label. Just one quick flash of the screwdriver he used, that's it. Didn't help me at all. So now I'm considering taking the thing with me to the O RILEY'S AUTO PART STORE, where I purchased one of the two other new/different screwdrivers, and ask them to tell me if there's another type of screwdriver I should be using! If that doesn't work, I'm throwing this crap in the garbage can in the alley where your "really really screwed up, nasty, filthy trash belongs!"

How do you fix the gears after opening it
You should be able to purchase from Fellowes or other online store. I didn't repair mine once I'd opened it
Thank you much appreciated
You saved me there
A screw was under the label
God bless you .
So how do I fix it?
Your note about a hidden screw under a sticker was very important. Just rub to feel for depression in stickers to find the hole/screw.
Thanks mate! different model but nearly ripped it apart then label & hidden screw

I almost broke off the extra screw hidden a small sticker. Thank you.
Glad it was of use
The nylon gear that strips out is more expensive than the shredder.
That's useful to know, thanks for confirming the cost
It's a "How to OPEN" video, not a "How to open and FIX" video.
That's exactly what the title says!
well that helped..

My Fellowes shredder only works in reverse. It is an awful shredder.
