I decided to try something different and see what I could do with Leon when I put my mind to it. He's not a terrible character but plagas on Village are a huge problem for him, along with his lack of grenades. This score would have been higher had it not been for so many problematic plagas, but oh well.
And for those who don't know, you can access Leon's alternate costumes when selecting him in the character menu:
Triangle + X = Jacket
R2 + X = RPD Uniform
Triangle + R2 + X = Mafia Costume.

@@Sarcosuchas How come you say Leon has difficulty with this stage? Are his weapons not good?
@@melissazietz1241 He can't kill enemies in one hit from a distance, he rarely kills plagas with one hit, the firing speed on his shotgun is slow and he doesn't get many grenades.
@@Sarcosuchas Oh, I see. I guess I never notice one character being worse than another as I am equally terrible with all of them lol. It's always fun to watch you shred these stages like they were love letters from an ex. Well done my friend😍
@@melissazietz1241 Well, the absolute limit for Leon on Village is 200k. The limit for HUNK and Wesker is 208k, for example. Huge gap :P

@@Sarcosuchas I see your technique is to saving the ground-timer at last. But other steps are so hard to imitate. You are great indeed. I could only get 64k point now.
@@HongKong1842 That is due to the spawn. The barn timer and the timer behind the tower both spawn enemies, so I need to clear the field enough before grabbing them.
@@Sarcosuchas so get the 2 middle first, then tower and barn last?
@@HongKong1842 The order doesn't matter so much, it's about optimising the route and making sure you have enough space for enemies to spawn.
Check my Spawn guide for Village and my score guide for more info as to why things are done the way they are.
I swear I have a hard time getting at least 60 000 using Leon and Ada. Good job though!

So that those that spawn inside the houses come outside faster.

Leon is just as capable as the other characters, might not reach the same scores but he can still be extremely impressive. I have huge respect for the amazing Leon players out there

what is so weird when i see u gameplay and is just really weird is that praticly impossible to find that much hand grenade when we kill a enemie when i do the mercernary i never find that much 7:35 u have 2 7:44 u find 1 and 8:11 to

I always run through the window before the 8 second mark but never spawn the two extra gonados and I've tried even with krawser at times less than 7 seconds

The PC version is easy
It isn't any easier than any other port.

Bro I play re4 mercenaries 2007 ubisoft version on my PC and I have tried your strategy of gathering genados at a place but I always get max 8 genados but you got 10 genados in the first bonus chest room is it because of the version of the game I am playing?
The PC07/PS2 version isn't as graphically powerful, so you can only have 8 enemies on screen maximum.

@@Mat.Ds3 If you follow my strategy of hiding in the barn you should manage it fine. You only need 60,000 points.
Killing all the chainsaws (even outside of a combo) is already 30,000.

And I thought that the 60k points I saw earlier was awesome, don't get me wrong, it was, but it was nothing compared to this, I wish I could play like this, I downloaded this game on Steam Deck last week and I played for 3 days now, I still got a lot to learn and this is the gameplay I'd love to adapt.
Well, I have guides that cover the basics for you to learn from; along with spawns and scoring system. From there, it comes down to learning the intricacies of a run like this and lots of practice.

I remember I killed so many zombie they stopped spawning lol
If you killed 124 then that's all that Village has.
Otherwise, you just stopped crossing spawn lines lol
What happens if you cannot fix the spawn glitch at the beginning of a village run. I've been trying forever.
Then 5 enemies will never appear.
However, the spawn glitch is only an issue on the 60fps ports of the game (PS4/XB1/Switch/Steam) so if you're playing any other version then you don't need to worry about that glitch.
Yeah, steam here. I finally bypassed the glitch not that it mattered. 106 k. 1 down so many to go. I cake walked the handcannon back when I had the game on a wii. But the wii mote and curser were like cheating compared to a controller and laser point. it should get better when ive loosened up.
@@mysteryshadow5 It's mostly down to strategy. Krauser is the one who benefited the most from the wiimote.
@@Sarcosuchas it was always easier to get the aim where I needed it with the Wii mote. I remember I could make long range pistol or tmp kills with the Wii mote which made a lot of difference in many situations. Oh I got leon 5 stars in village, castle, and thanks to your salvador grenade glitch, waterworks. Tomorrow ill work on the military base then hunk. Im trying to get the challenging scenarios first.

@@Sarcosuchas I especially loved that whole camera movement sequence from 5:17 to 5:22 before you got burned. Such good technique. I even see it in your re5 mercenaries vids. Other players I see don't really utilize both camera and movement simultaneously besides the cam quick turn trick.
@@SojoroXSeeker That trick comes from years of playing RE5 Versus, where I spin around using that trick like lightning.
