- Everyone wanted to see more Leon gameplay, so I figured I'd pick the hardest stage for him - Castle.
A lot of things went wrong in this run so I could've done much better, that being said, hitting 200k with Leon on Castle isn't too bad. I'll have to learn the proper route used for the World Record before I have a chance of beating it.
And for those who don't know, you can access Leon's alternate costumes when selecting him in the character menu:
Triangle + X = Jacket
R2 + X = RPD Uniform
Triangle + R2 + X = Mafia Costume.
Todos querían ver más jugabilidad de Leon, así que pensé en elegir el escenario más difícil para él: el castillo.
Muchas cosas salieron mal en esta partida, así que podría haberlo hecho mucho mejor, dicho esto, llegar a 200k con Leon en el castillo no está tan mal. Tendré que aprenderme la ruta adecuada para el récord mundial antes de tener la oportunidad de batirlo.
Y para aquellos que no lo sepan, pueden acceder a los trajes alternativos de Leon al seleccionarlo en el menú de personajes:
Triángulo + X = Chaqueta
R2 + X = Uniforme RPD
Triángulo + R2 + X = Traje de mafia.

Usar a León en los mercenarios de RE4 es toda una pesadilla, siento que sus armas son muy lentas y la pistola en específico, es muy ineficaz contra escudos pero buen trabajo!

Mate, this is a beast of a run! I'm struggling to get above 60k with Leon and I've been playing since it came out on the PS2 😂
I've been playing since the original Gamecube release, so I'm very experienced with gunning for high scores ^^

Honestly I do wish that you can select a costume for every character except for some how doing a cheat or something.
Yeah, giving the characters alternate costumes would've been nice.
Krauser could've had a version with his shirt.
HUNK could've had his original design.
Wesker could've had STARS
Yeah exactly. They'll still have their same load out.
To those wondering how he got the RPD outfit…. It’s not a mod, it’s been available since the WII version. Just hold down a certain button when selecting Leon or Ada, and you’ll get a different outfit

i always find waterworld harder with Leon, over 200k still a good amount, don´t sell yourself short
Waterworld isn't as bad since those ganado die in 2-3 shots from the pistol generally.

In re4 Mercenaries if you discard a weapon will you stop getting ammo for that weapon?
No, ammo still drops.

In your opinion, how would you feel if Leon got a fully upgraded default handgun instead of black tail. I think it would remove some of the headache without taking the fun out of having a more challenging load out to work with. Not to mention aesthetically more pleasing lol
I think if his shotgun was fully upgraded then he'd do just fine.
@@Sarcosuchasyes, but I actually like that Leon has a challenging loadout and that buff would have him competing with everyone but wesker. I feel like what I’m proposing would give Leon a quality of life improvement without turning it into a glorified version of cookie clicker lol.
@@selfhatinghick3770 Buffing the shotgun wouldn't have him competing as strongly as you think. It would just mean he has a reliable combo saver.

How can I make quick turns on ps4 d-pad? Thanks.
You don't use the d-pad. 180 turn by holding the run button and holding down on your left stick; as for quick aim turns like I do, you move the camera with the right stick and tap the aim button

I will tell you this what I hate about costume 2 is it doesn't show in the cutscenes and I wish they fixed it where it shows in the cutscenes. There is a mod that makes it show in the cutscenes except for Ashley's armor which sucks.

Estoy tratando de replicar tu puntaje de 205,300 con HUNK en el pueblo y cambié los controles para apuntar y disparar con el teclado, pero no puedo controlar la cámara con el teclado. No puedo hacer los giros rápidos, se mantiene con el mouse. ¿Sabes si se puede cambiar en la version Steam?
No sé, pero creo que el HD Project Mod te da más opciones de este tipo

How do you manage to find all those enemies with shield waiting for you when you open the giant doors? I've been playing for months and only today I've been able to see that happening during my game. It was random.
The game can only have around 10 enemies on screen at a time. I think there's about 8 in there, so you need to kill enemies outside to make space for them to spawn in when you open the doors.
@@Sarcosuchas Forgot to say I'm playing in VR. However, it seems no matter how many enemies remain outside, they will not spawn. Maybe more enemies are spawning off screen so I'm not noticing them? Really looking forward to see one of those spawn guides of yours for this scenario.
@@Triodesabios When you go up the staircase towards those doors, enemies will drop down from the walls and they also spawn downstairs below the ladders, so it would be wise to wait a few moments by the door and kill everything then open the doors.
@@Sarcosuchas I managed to see them one more time, but it seems quite difficult to clean the area without going down those few steps to kill the rest. I'll keep on trying. I've seen your new guide. Awesome, man!!!!!
Not too bad score man ;) I've also checked out the votes regarding which stage of the mercs people want you to play as Leon - I've double checked the vote and notoced the WW stage having the highest number of the votes, but personally I'd be most interested to see you play the base stage as him given that I've scarcely seen you play that stage either for a decent score or just for fun. Anyways good luck with your upcoming challenges, if you have some piles of things you feel like doing in the coming days ;)
I do in fact plan on playing Leon on Base, since hardly anyone ever does.
As for Waterworld, I'll be trying to get as close to your world record as I can ;)

Yeah in fact there's very few who attempted to play the stage as him for a highest possible score, so that could give the attempt(s) some spices as you might have to think some parts of your gameplay by yourself for farming more kills in the combo or chests to make the final score as better as you can.

Good luck with your runs in that category if you ever are going to give your hands at that, when it comes to the WR score, hm for sure it's actually me who's got it, I haven't shown the run yet publicly but I got 173k earlier this month (you can see the score in luis' website) :3

I never played classic Mercenaries, but looking on the opening/closing to change items are so boring... I loved the new one in re4 remake.
I've never found it boring, and it helps as a way to pause the game and give you a moment to heal and think

Yep, so just 40 odd more kills. Shouldn't be too hard to improve by that margin if I keep at it and get plenty of grenades.

Depende del personaje, pero para mi es una zona en que puedo jugar sin pensar mucho

Se puede mover la camara con la palanca de mando derecha, y para girar solo tienes que apuntar.

Si no mal recuerdo yo un día aburrido sin luz me puse a jugar la versión de pc 2007 y me mate a los 348 enemigos con wesker y con León el máximo que me hecho son 220 enemigos
Recuerdas mal. Nadie se ha matado a los 348 enemigos del castillo en un partido sin hackear, y la version de PC07/PS2 solo puede tener 8 enemigos en la pantalla en lugar de 10 en las otras versiones.

bufff mi record personal es casi lo mismo pero con krauser (version de nintendo game cube que es la que mas me gusta)
pd: en steam lo poco que juego es en 30 fps me acostumbre a esos fps pese a que puedo jugar a 60 cosas raras mias xD sera por que jugue muchos años en game cube
El castillo es lo peor para Leon, todos los escudos y enemigos con mucha vida se hace la partida bastante lenta, o sea, más lenta que normalmente es con Leon.
