I made your skandi ornaments last year for fun and gave them to my friends for their tree. They loved them even though they weren’t as perfect as yours. I see a lot of channels pouring acrylic & glitter into those plastic style ornaments but I prefer your style. Maybe a thrifted mug tree would be good to hand your ornaments to dry. Shayda, don’t’ ever stop creating. You are very talented and gifted and your followers love your videos.
Cute ornaments! I love your positive attitude so much! "It's a flower if I say it's a flower" I enjoyed this format. Like we're just casually hanging out with you while you paint.
I loved this format very much! It was just you in all your cuteness, sweetness, and of course, talent! Thanks for sharing a little piece of your life with us! ❤
Oh, Shayda...I have been disconnected for a while and wow did I forget how much I LOVE you. Thank you for allowing the imperfections. I was raised with "if it's not perfect, it's not worth doing". Talk about a creativity killer, but at the same time very detailed has been much practiced. So many things look so fun, but the fear of being perfect prevents me often and when I watch you I am SO inspired to just create and enjoy the process of perfectly imperfect. It is so true pretty much EVERYTHING you talk about. And when you go to the store and really critique what is for sale, it is NOT perfect either and other people love getting handmade gifts. Thank you Shayda...TRULY.
It is hard to embrace, but so helpful for getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things too :) I have been trying to challenge myself this year with new mediums and subjects
These are so pretty! Yes I’ve seen the copying but haven’t seen the drama. My mouth dropped open with some of the copying of really unique designs, but it was on IG copying a Skillshare design to the tee, turning it into a class and charging. Now I want to know who is a known copyer. 🙈🤣😂
Shayda, I love painting in this way, so quiet and soothing so I'm all for that, I also love the color pallet. You are so sweet and humble and keeping it real.
These are lovely. Thank you! I, too always want to create what is not trending. May your unique style continue to inspire us all to seek out our own creativity and enjoy the process. Amen ❤️
I love how you experiment along the way. I could sit and experiment right along with you for hours. So relaxing and enjoyable. Whether whatever project you're working on is my thing or not, the process is always perfectly enjoyable--and that's the whole point, right? Love your videos. Thanks, Shayda!
Your ornaments are SO lovely. What a beautiful collection to hang on a tree! From a couple feet away all those little "oopsies" (if we are even going to call them that) disappear and all you see is a very elegant overall look. Just look at the ornaments on they tray in the foreground. They are gorgeous! I adore these. Love this chatty video.
Oh! Look at the snow! It’s so beautiful. It’s summer here in Australia so we always have a hot Christmas. I’d love to have a white Christmas one day.❤❤❤
P.S. Don't be REDICULOUS you are an AMAZING watercolorist. I LOVE your work and you are the one who got me REALLY into it. Oh, I absolutely love the snow, so I disagree on that with you. I guess I am not just sitting here having a chat session. You just feel like cozy crafting with a friend. Much love.
I love everything you do. I love your creative process. Like you I like to make all my Christmas gift & decorations but sometimes it get to be a bit much, so it’s important to be kind to ourself as well & not burned up by Christmas.
These are beautiful! Will keep it in my to-do list for next Christmas since I would not be home this year. Thank you for sharing these beautiful ideas!
These ornaments are cute, I think that my mom would love these, making them and/or receiving them as a gift! She is one crafty lady, I only wish that I could do half the stuff she can do. Ha! Great video, thank you.
I loved the style of this tutorial. Nice and relaxing and showing that it's okay to go with the flow and not worry about everything being perfect. I also liked the color palette you used. It feels Christmassy while being its own thing.
These do have style. ..consistent simple colour palette…your tree looks good…I remember snowstorms in Ontario ..so Christmassy…going to be a “brown Christmas” in YYC
Shayda, am I imagining it or are you tapping into your French ancestors? Or maybe Jane Austin? The colors and designs seem very early 1800s! I love it! Thanks for the great care you take. ❤️ 💜 💖 💗
They're so lovely! I haven't had a real tree for a few years... I was planning on getting one this time, since I'll have a couple of my kids at home {YAYYY!❤} so I think I might do some of these!!! 😃
Should we add a matte or satin varnish so the finish stays smooth? What would you recommend? I ask bc I have ornaments that are more than 50 years old. I'd like them to last and stay vibrant

@@ShaydaCampbell You're welcome!
4 minutes in and I just wanted to say I NEVER thought to use the cap of paints as a little tray!! What a genius idea!
Makes for easier cleanup too!
