I need the adapter plug to convert my factory Audi, 2008 TT satellite radio antenna cable to an Alpine iLX-W650 deck with a separate aftermarket satellite receiver. Not sure if it makes a difference but I’m also mounting the KTA-450 Alpine power pack behind the head unit. Thanks.
I think we already spoke on the phone. But the power pack is a pain in that car. If you have bose the whole thing must be connected in the trunk. If you don't have bose the rear speakers and sub are amplified and must be grabbed at the AMP in the trunk but some of the front speakers are in the front. And you need a seperate amp for the sub. This is the part to keep the sirius antenna. SAA-600-Green shop.enfigcarstereo.com/product/enfig-siriusxm-antenna-adapters/
purchased this kit from enfig. The things they don't make obvious on the site. You need 4 keys to remove the rns-e system, the package only comes with 2, the ones sold on the site do not match what's in this video. There is also a problem with the bezel. My Pioneer NEX unit has a motorized screen. The screen always touches the trim piece of the dash kit regardless of where you position the deck (the upper piece is very thick, and the somewhat flimsy cage doesn't sit very well in the dash kit's hole.) For whatever reason, the parking signal wire from their kit isn't working either.
+Yogesh Patel Thanks for the feedback we always appreciate it. We sell 2 differernt style keys. These are the RRk2 and RRK4 they ask you how many keys you would like at checkout. enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_RRK4_RADIO_REMOVAL_TOOLS_KEYS.html We also sell the Metra keys that only come in pairs of 2 and that's clearly stated on the website that it is sold in pairs of 2 and some cars require 4. The picture on the site also shows 2 keys. enfigcarstereo.com/86_9001.html As far as fitment you may have not bent enough tabs to hold the cage in place. That could also cause the back of the radio to sag making the front come up. Most radios rub lightly when you open the door. Not a big deal since most people dont use CD's anymore. This happens for cosmetic reasons to avoid a huge gap above the radio. You also ordered the digital turn on for your TT because it's needed for 2009+TT with bose. When you order that part we use a NON enfig CAN box with the enfig hilo box. I think the digital turn on box only applies ground on the wire when you turn on the car instead of actually following the parking brake. I need to get a car in here to test that. Most people use a bypass so there is a chance that we have never caught that because of that. I will respond to your email in a little bit and will update this post once I know about that parking brake wire.
+Enfig thanks for the reply. I hope I can get all the issues sorted out eventually. My cage was slightly bent when I received it but I bent it back to close to normal, I figured it would be good enough to fit everything. The cage was a really snug fit into the dash kit, I have expanded all of the slits to hold it in tightly, the fitment itself when centered touches the top of the bezel to the point that it won't allow the screen to open. I've tried having the screen stick out more with the same problem. It only got a little better after taking a dremel to it to shave down part of the bezel. Now it still touches and resists movement...but doesn't stop the movement completely like it did originally. The 4100nex has a removable faceplate... so it kinda sucks that it can't be taken on and off with ease with this kit. I did order a microbypass kit off eBay to work around the parking break issue...I just hoped this kit would be the plug and play solution like it's advertised to be. Please let me know if there's any solution to any of this on your end. Thank you.
We sent a new kit and the customer started from scratch and it fit as expected. Apparently the cage was damaged in shipping enough to cause it not to sit right. Also since the 4100 NEX had a switch on the bottom of the face in most cases you have to file a small groove on the bottom of the kit to keep it from getting stuck. Apparently not an issue with this kit but just a heads up just in case.
+Enfig your response is a little misleading. First of all, I do not mean to sound like an annoyed customer, I just want the situation I went through to be represented accurately. I sent you photo and video proof of the differences between the two different kits that you sent (both unlisted). I don't blame you for not recognising the minor differences that played a role with difficulty I had with installation, but you were certain that the metra kit that was initially sent was the exact same to the one shown in your video. Ultimately, I still had to pay you for the full price + shipping to Canada for a second kit (you were fairly adamant that I "mangled" the first kit that you claimed was identical to the second one that was sent). After sending you photos and video of the differences, you then refunded the amount for the dash kit, less shipping. So, after sending video and photo proof of the differences, I still walked away paying for additional shipping for the replacement. There was also no response to the issue with the parking wire that I had mentioned as well, just to get bypass kit to avoid the issue altogether. I'm glad everything eventually worked (except the parking wire), but the whole process was far from the simple video shown above, and I did feel like you were quick to dismiss the issues as something I caused myself rather than being a defect in the product.
+Yogesh Patel You are correct I did try to sugar coat it. Here is my 100% honest response. 2009 TT with bose requires a digital turn on. We have used a non enfig can box to replace the enfig can box in order to give you the digital turn on. Since most people use a bypass you are the first person to complain about the parking brake but we have figured out that the non enfig box just turns on ground when you turn on the car and actually does not follow the actual parking brake like the enfig box. To fix this we have raised the digital turn on from a +$50 option to a + $100 option and include both boxes so do we do not come across this problem again. When your order came in we did not have the parts to make the custom digital turn on box so we put the dash kit aside for your order until the harness came in. My shipping manager gave your kit to another order because he knew we were getting our kits order in the following day. But he did not know that the TT kit was delayed an additional 2 weeks. In order to not make you wait we ordered a kit from Metra that costs us more than what you paid for the Enfig TT kit. We use it once in a blue when we are in a jam. When you called in about it not fitting it sounded like the cage was an issue so I asked for a picture. You sent the following picture. www.dropbox.com/s/ro2rs1t8zod0i9u/yogi_1st%20pic.jpg?dl=0 I noticed that the tabs on the kit were bent too far and was making the cage bow up and sit higher than its supposed to since the bottom of the cage was not touching the bottom of the kit. Also the bottom of the left side is so warped that it's not even sitting on the kit and is just floating. I offered to take back the first kit for a full refund and send you out an enfig kit because I noticed all the scratches on the plastic and I felt bad that you struggled so much with the kit. When you finally got the radio installed you sent these pictures of the differences between the kit. www.dropbox.com/s/cfasjfur5i92gtz/IMG_20160226_135851.jpg?dl=0 www.dropbox.com/s/lu0kfzar352444w/IMG_20160226_140000.jpg?dl=0 www.dropbox.com/s/0poh4mf6kyk9c5c/IMG_20160226_140230.jpg?dl=0 While the mold is different they measure out to be the same size opening and I have used both in plenty of installs. The honest truth is that you bent the bottom tabs so far that the radio sat too high and rubbed against the top of the kit. You also somehow warped the left side and scratched the face of the kit. I offered to take the 1st kit back since I felt bad for you. In the end I told you to throw away the 1st kit since it made no sense to send back a kit I was just going to throw away. The reason I did not cover the shipping is because the installation was the issue not the product and I still gave you a 2nd kit for free. I'm sorry to bring all this all into the public like this but I take great pride in the quality of product we send our customers and have to defend our product. The reason I sugar coated the first response is that I did not want to come straight out and say that you warped the cage and that's why it didn't fit correctly. But since you called me out on it I had to give a 100% honest response.
I was considering an add on to my OEM Concert 2 plus , but after I saw that , oh man , the car play sounds the right one for me , couple of questions though , is the " FIS " still supported with your harness , did I miss the part when the rear usb cable should be connected in order to activate the "car play " feature , finally is the same applies on a4 2009 cabriolet b7 ?
I reccomend the Pioneer 4200-NEX. Thats the best radio out in my opinion. amzn.to/2rfCVvs The USB has to be connected for car play. On the newer Aline it doesnt but I'm not sure thats out yet. Similar parts but since this is a TT video I dont want to confuse people. Send us an email.
No not at all. Soldered connections do not make a sound quality difference. Al lour connections have a locking tab so they are not going to fall out. I'm assuming you have never worked on a MK2 TT because if you did you would know there there are large harness that prevent both modules from moving and/or touching anything that would cause a rattle. And as far as Tesla cloth tape I love that stuff. But in this car that would cause the harnesses to stiffen up and become rigid. Making the radio harder to insert since there is little room back there. I use it on Honda's and Toyota's all the time.

Hi I have a 2011 TTS and would love to replace the factory head unit (which has nav and sat radio) with something more modern, and include a reverse camera which did not come on these cars when they were new. I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet because I'm afraid of using a stereo shop that is not familiar with Audis and I want the final setup to look perfect as if it came from the factory that way, with everything working as it should.
