OH MY GOD! I'm majorly impressed, she is amazing. I think her performance was very good, the tecnique was good, the jumps were good, I think the artistry was good, even if some of you think otherwise. She never dissapoints me!
I'm glad to finally see someone skate to the finale of Swan Lake, and to see it done so well and so beautifully is just icing on the cake. Job well done by Ashley.
Got to be impressed - this young lady appears to have worked really hard to improve and put emotion in her skating. She seems to like competing too! She has poise and good posture. She has REALLY improved and she held her nerve at World's 2012 really well. I am really looking forward to this season from her. Oh and she's pretty (ok that shouldn't matter but she is!)

Wagner is a superb athlete, and the ballerina style Tschaikowsky was great, she brought down the house. I love the look on Alissa's gorgeous face: it says, "Okay Wagner, you got me. Now I'm going to have to work for a living." Alissa got Silver. With Alissa, Wagner and Gracie Gold the USA could have a winning team next Worlds. Alissa should be recovered in three months or so...

JimmyZoole, There is just no comparison of Alissa's russian split jumps to that of Sasha's. I actually do prefer both. The only thing that i don't like, are the other split jumps of the other skaters. These split jumps are just so typical.
Yes, But did I see Ashley attempting to do the Russian split jumps that are similar to Sasha? No. I think Ashley is doing the split jump that is usually similar to that of Joannie Rochette. However, I would like to see Ashley try to make the attempt at a Russian split jump though.

Have Alissa done better, she would have bypass Ashley's in term of consistency and overall components as a first rate skater. It is too bad that Alissa is still struggling but, her spirals are just as beautiful as ever.

And Alissa's spirals are so well-centered and fast that it gives an illusion of a counters spin- like that of a top. The only difference between Sasha, and Alissa, is that Sasha has improved her consistency while Alissa's has shown no real improvement with hers.
Why does everyone compare her to Sasha? No one can touch Sasha on what she is best at. (And Sasha never had those horrible broken wrist lines that seem to be all the rage in figure skating and gymnastics.)

Well, Ashley is having a major threat from a Russian sensation (Julia) who reminds me more of Sasha. So we shall see if Ashley can retain her championship status.
