    I've been daydreaming about one day moving up from violins and making a double bass. I figure it won't be THAT expensive, tonewood would end up being under $2000. I guess I forgot about those giant spool clamps, giant reamers, and hundreds of hours of my life spent scraping.
    Good on these guys. This is seriously impressive.

      It for sure isn't a quick and easy process but is 100% worth it for the outcome!

    I’m super happy to be one of the luckiest person to play on the Martin bass and have multiple lessons with professor Thomas Martin , the Martin bass and I are sending more love from Stellenbosch near Cape Town 🇿🇦🇿🇦

    So are you getting blanks from some where? Is this why you had to open the instrument and then graduate it??

    Hello, if you wouldn't mind me asking, who makes or supplies the tuners you use on your basses?

    That tattooed man you wouldn't expect was a luthier, lol, rather a metal player.

    I have an upright bass and recently the bridge snapped off the bass and one of the legs was ripped in half, and i thought okay new bridge to buy, but then on the inside of the bass theres like a thin cylinders wood thing that's loose inside and was wondering what it is

      Sounds like a loose sound post.

    Why are we ungluing a top from a carcass undone?

    • @ThomasGeorgeViolinMakers
      @ThomasGeorgeViolinMakers  5 лет назад +2

      The instruments come to us lightly glued together, we then unglue them to start working on them :D
