You are so weird and eccentric, I’m absolutely here for it! I don’t care what you’re talking about, I just love watching your content because it’s so entertaining. Thank you for being unique and creating compelling content.
I’ve been watching this channel for years and think it’s the most useful camera gear channel on RUclips. All the things that actually matter that no one else spends time on. And also the most entertaining by far
I was a 6D guy and then R6 and then R6ii. I’m two weeks into having the R5 II. This camera has ruined me forever. My R6 II looks like when the beer goggles wear off and you realize you aren’t with the prettiest girl anymore. R5 II completes me❤
@@RandumbTech canon is claiming the stacked back illuminated sensor is what gives the r5 II 16 plus stops of dynamic range and neither the r5 or R5c have a stacked sensor nor to they exceed 15 stops. Regardless of clog2 I am more in love with RAW 12 bit in either 8k or sRAW 12bit in 4k which neither r5 or R5c offer. 4k raw 12 bit that is.
@@JaredHoyman The only benefit of the stacked sensor is the faster readout speed, which does not improve dynamic range. In fact, it actually has the opposite effect as some people has shown. That's cool that you are enjoying the new RAW recording modes. That is absolutely a limitation of the older sensor. For a working pro like yourself, it probably makes a big difference, but for the average user, I don't know that the R5ii is much of an upgrade - especially if you do stills only.
Please start a channel called Photo Conspiracies, where you review cameras for their photo qualities. Exactly the same as your video channel, but where you review everything related to photo instead of video. You are the only honest reviewer on YT.
@@cameraconspiracies But everyone else lies about cameras and I am a photo first guy, not a video guy. If you don't review cameras, how will I know which one to buy?
You did a cut after saying 9 megapixel at around 10:41. What got cut? It sounded like something funny was coming. Nice to see the hammer again. Have a great day.
@cameraconspiracies some cameras think the reflection in your sunglasses is what you are filming and the camera will focus inside the reflection as its another dimension and you will be out of focus , this happened to me few times using the A7IV
You’re right. Something will be missing. My prediction (like yours) is Clog 2 will likely be gone and anything resembling a quality codec will be missing too. It will still be more than adequate for video as the R6 mark II is. It will still destroy for photo and the AF system will be the same as far as mathematics but not the larger view finder. On a side note, It’s hard to believe that the R5 Mark II after a few firmwares won’t be insanely better than it already is. Look at where the R5 started and where it’s come. I would imagine the same road for the Mark II. I can’t wait to scoop one up eventually. But right now, due to my sports photo work I’m eyeing the R1.
One of the biggest advantages of the R5 ii is that its got C-log2, I don’t see Canon putting that in the R6 iii, that’ll definitely cripple it. The ol cripple hammer does take away from certain features, but it’s still looking strong. Also love the new shirt!
But, is the DR any better than the R5? Will anyone who see's your stuff be able to tell what camera is was shot on. Of course not, it's all about image, your image in which no one cares. 🙂
@@FlatWaterFilms well Kasey already tested the R6 ii vs the mki and it had really noisy footage and worse color science than predecessors. And of course the R5 beat them both, but even the R was seemingly better overall, minus some of the newer features.
There are plenty of dynamic range tests with R5 vs R5 II. R5 II is better because of c-log 2. If that's not in the R6 III, we'll know it was an intentional cripple.
@@cameraconspiracies Still, who's going to notice the difference? If you plan your shots and know what you're doing c-log is unnecessary, correct? Same with RAW versus JPEG.

on a more serious note lol, I think it would make sense especially if in no rush to wait for the r6mkiii and see what it might bring to the table. I for one dont need all the bell and whistles of the r5mkii id rather save some money.
I hope Canon R6 Mark III at last will be switching from outdated, decades old front-lit to BSI-CMOS sensors, if not I'm going back to Sony. At this point mirrorless camera makers should have been experimenting with much more efficient and sensitive SPAD, quantum dot and graphene enhanced CMOS sensors. Graphene sensors are x1000 more sensitive than current ones and can detect even deep thermal infrared spectrum so just imagine enormous possibilities.
It is a side step. Both 4k 120p HD 240p. Nikon's 6k Raw is probably way more usable and easy to edit than Canon's 8k raw. I'm only thinking Canon colors and stabilization might be better, but could be wrong.

I got the R6 II when it was released and it's a beast! It's the best camera I've owned in 18 years and I used 1 Series cams for about 12 of those years. The only thing I wish it had was Clog2 and 4k120, even with a crop. Other than that it's perfect. Honestly I wish it had even the basic Clog1 for low light stuff. I don't know why Canon took it out when going from the R6 to the R6 II.
