- Part 2 of 2 of our Celebrity Cruises Lunch Buffet tour for Edge-Class ships. This was from 6 night Western Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Apex in late December 2022.
This video covers the Celebrity themed lunch buffets including Caribbean, Mexican, Italian and International.
Caribbean buffet (day 3): 0:37
Mexican buffet (day 4): 5:41
Italian buffet (day 5): 8:54
International buffet (last day of cruise): 12:22
There were several vegan options daily as well. Notable items included seafood ceviche, oxtail stew, roasted lamb leg, beef tenderloin, Turkish pide, churros, tiramisu, chocolate shawarma, and much more!

Ironic that those beautiful cakes were more about appearance than flavour. Glad the coconut one stood out. That apple and crepe are more my thing too. Thanks for taste testing on our behalf. It helps to know what to pass by and what to plate up!
Yup it's a bit of a bummer when looks don't match the taste. But happy to have found some hidden gems for you- the coconut cake and those crepes were quite tasty! 😋

Wow!! This makes me miss Celebrity so much. I unfortunately have 2 cruises on Carnival coming up this year and next..
Carnival has some good food too, but yeah the buffet isn't going to be nearly as good.
I’d try just about everything I saw on this video. I’m going to have to try oxtail if it’s offered on a cruise because it’s $25.99 a POUND at the grocery store and I see people buying it. I want to see what the big deal is. 🙂. DH would love the donut extravaganza! 🤣 The cakes on the final day were beautiful but I’ve noticed that the layer cakes don’t have a lot of flavor. Now….the cannoli display is another story. I could buzz through 3-4 of those NO PROBLEM. 😆. Thanks for the video. I know editing these things is hard work, and I appreciate it. 😁
Our pleasure- thank you so much for the comment Sally! 😊 Yup ox tail is quite expensive despite the bone being a large part of the weight! So that was a very popular dish- they kept running out but refilled fairly quickly. Agree about those desserts as well- those special "stations" like donuts, cannoli, chocolate shawarma, banana split, etc. that rotate help made those sweets look even more fancy!
You ought to look for oxtails at Mexican or Korean ethnic markets as I generally buy them in the US$6.99-9.99/ lb price range depending on the store in Phoenix and Las Vegas. If you cannot find them at a reasonable price, try using beef shank. Do realize that either meat takes a minimum of 4-6 hours to get tender. Also, I have found that both dishes taste better on the second and third day.
I just subscribed because I enjoyed watching this video. I really like how you show each dish with a written caption. I also like the critique of the dishes you sample. I have 1 question: are you allowed to take a container of water or any leftovers from your plate back to your cabin?
Yes, you can bring drinks & food from the buffet as much as you desire. People do that all the time and you’ll see them in elevators all happy to have their own party or simply enjoy a nice private and chilling meal in their cabins.😊
Thank you very much! 😊 You sure can take any food or drinks at the buffet to the cabin. You can refill your own water bottles too though for sanitary reasons you're supposed to fill the glasses there first and then pour into your to-go bottle.

Wow! I think that I will need to upgrade to Celebrity's Edge Class ships. That food really looked great. I like the wide variety of dishes, especially the Asian dishes. I have been known to check out the buffet after the MDR to see what I was missing out on.

Great video(s)! My husband and I are taking our first Celebrity cruise on the Apex in December. We splurged on a Magic Carpet suite. I was excited to try The Retreat amenities and specialty restaurants. I have to add Ocean Cafe to our options. So many food choices!

Thank you for your video. We are going on the Beyon in mid December to the Caribbean and looking forward to it. Seeing these meal videos that you did were very interesting. We are currently on a diet, trying to lose 10 pounds so that we can save room for all the stuff we want to eat there. Going to be very hard not to load up a plate. Our first cruise since before COVID

I was wondering if the stir fry station offered tofu as a protein option. Thanks again. This is great information. We've narrowed our search down and Celebrity Cruises seems to have plenty for vegans to eat at the buffet.
Thank you very much! 😊 There wasn't a vegetarian protein option such as tofu at the stir-fry station as far as we know. In fact we overheard a fellow guest there asking about the available of any vegetarian protein option and was told it wasn't available, but you're free to grab anything from the salad bar to have the chef stir fry it for you.
I like the buffet food but I stopped going. The Sheeple in thee Digital Age have forgotten how to look up. It's just too hard to navigate traffic it's a bit chaotic for me. Mind you, I'm spoiled :).
Yeah it can get really busy during lunch, though if you're able to go right when it opens it's not too bad.
@@TravelTouristVideos The dream is one day when Wife finally decides we've been on enough cruises----we stay on the ship on a port day. While the crowds are out buying more magnets that say St -Whatever island on it, the burger grill and buffet are rather serene. One can hope :)

That's a Pina Colada (a pineapple drink with coconut & rum) flavor cake. The Rockfish is actually really good- has a bouncy texture. And yeah maybe that wasn't mashed potato- I might have made an error there. Maybe it was horseradish. The salmon has a little bit of beet flavor but not very much. Those fish were display only, but you can point at it and they will grab one from the fridge and cook it for you 🙂

Yup exactly! But on a cruise there are very few meats/fish that are fresh from the same day- they're usually delivered frozen to the ships.

Yeah they didn't have many offerings containing shrimp at the buffet- the only ones we saw were in the ceviche.
I'll share a cabin with the staff. I'll keep the cabin spotless as they take care of the passengers! I'm desperate, I have no pride!!!😢😢
I've always had this livelong dream. My social security check can barely get me across town 😢😢!
The best looking item was the candy apple. Most of the food did not appeal to me..thought there was a lot of grey/brown food. Not you camera fault...it was the food. I have no sense of taste or smell so I look for eye appeal and texture. Look forward to your videos.

The wife and l just finished a Caibbean Celebrity Apex cruise and there was no theme days what so ever, very dissapointing, never seen a mussle either, no banana split sections,, it was the same crap everyday, day after day.
I'm very confused by the Caribbean food. Half of it was absolutely not Caribbean.
Yes even though it's a theme buffet they still have other food for people who aren't fans of the particular theme of the day.
