I find it interesting that when this card came out it’s performance was similar to the gt 1030 but now because it has 8 lanes instead of 4 it aged better than the 1030
The performance is slightly higher than the GTX1030, so I think that 3D is quite painful not only for the latest generation games but also for slightly older games. (I think the person who chooses this has a specific purpose) I removed the GTX1080 from the sub-PC to use it for mining purposes, so I bought it instead. The size is perfect for 2 slots and there is no auxiliary power supply, so it is easy to handle. The deciding factors for my purchase were the RX550 with VRAM 4G and DisplayPort.
20:25 I feel you man. Valorant used to be more laid back but now I can't play a game of deathmatch without half the lobby holding corners or sitting at a head glitch. If it's competitive mode I can understand, but it's super hard for new players to get good at the game when there's no chill lobbies, not even in deathmatch or arms race.
I have a rx 550 in my PC and I found it cool to see a review about this GPU. The Minecraft Test shows just how CPU bound it is. I play at 1080p and yet I occasionally get FPS drops when generating new terrain.
i bought the ASUS AREZ 2GB variant 2 years ago for just $60 and it's still holding up great. i was not satisfied enough in the early days but amidst the gpu market crisis, i'm glad to have it with me.

Good video. Performs better than I thought it would. The problem for the rx550 around it's launch was you could get pci-e slot only (no 6 or 8 pin required) powered rx560's 4gb's for less than $100. Seems like an eternity ago now.
And now bare in mind, the 6500xt took the place of the rx550 in the 60' series, while this one was 79$ msrp (you could get it for like 55 just a few months later after the release, and the 4gb version for like 70), and the 6500xt is 200 msrp+ the aftermarket coolers, lets say 230.. and in reality it goes for 300-350$.. for the same level of card, but in the current generation, 5 years later of the rx550's release
@@ztekz2055 $230 is still way too much for the 6500XT. If it drops to around the $150-170 price point, then it may be worth a buy. AMD cheaping out and using a laptop die with that horrendous memory bus just doesn’t make it worth the time over $170.
i have been using this graphics card since 2020,and i am not disappointed at all! this graphics card is really way more powerful than GT1030(I am talking about rx 550 4gb and namaste not 2 GB!)! it has run god of war, red dead redemption 2,horizon zero dawn at 40+ fps! ik the fps isn't that great but atleast I get to play the game which is enough for me!
My RX 550 is a ASUS one that I purchased back in November 2017 and it’s still a nice GPU for my gaming needs-currently have installed in my HP 190-0068a PC.

A very solid card, I still use it here because new and second hand parts here in Turkey are so expensive. Now a Amd RX 550 2gig ddr5 are worth 1500 Turkish Lira.
Yeah , i have ASRock rx550 2gb with Ryzen 3 3100 and i can say , this gpu is very good for eSports , CSGO 300 fps , rainbow six siege 150 fps and other games , no problems with her + all new drivers still coming for gpu :D

I got this GPU for $43 and the results in RDR2 was impressive (if anyone is wondering, I am playing on Favor Quality settings, 1336x768 with 0.800% frame scaling and I averaged around 30-35 FPS and around 25 FPS drop on towns like Valentine)

Hey Kryzzp. So I'm testing my gtx 660Ti (an Asus model) and it is performing pretty ok because of the CPU being a i5 4570 but for the 660ti it performs amazing for it's age approximately 9yrs old lol

it is better than GT1030 because of the double amount of VRAM but higher memory bandwidth not actually an advantage to this card vs GT1030. AMD card in general need more bandwidth than nvidia. that's why nvidia cards able to get away with GDDR5 on the high end while AMD try to benefit from HBM type memory before.
I got a super cheap optiplex 7010 with an RX550 for gaming with older titles. Upgraded with a super cheap ssd and RAM, Now playing RDR2 (was on sale) with the 2gb Vram config from Nexus. It's very smooth and runs around 48fps. Low 30's minimum. Im thrilled to say the least. Also playing the Metro series with high settings (also on sale). The rx550 gives a lot if bang for the buck.

i actually got a gtx 950 for 20euros and im using it with one Old beast ,,Phenom x4 9650" and i used one old gx 650 and that gpu is like a adrenalin shot for my pc.Great work with the videos that u made lately.
Can you test a radeon instinct MI8? It's basically a R9 Nano in server format (you can use it in windows just by installing the regular radeon gaming driver). Also you have to mount a pair of small fans on it, because it is passively cooled (like all the server cards). The good thing is that you can find this cards often for really cheap!
G'day Kryzzp, Nice choice of Games to show off the Baby RX500, I found mine performs pretty similar to my GTX750 & R7 360, just gotta remember to get a RX550 not the 550, the 550 has a 64bit Mem Bus like GT1030 so may have worse performance in the more VRAM Intensive games. So many people have told me I wasted money getting the Sapphire RX550Pulse 4GB because the Core will never get enough FPS with Detail Settings high enough to exceed 2GB, Forza 5, GTA V, Battlefield V, Dying Light 2, PUBG & RDR2 all played well with settings that had VRAM 2GB-4GB, so I am reall happy it is part of my RX550, RX560, RX570 & 580 Testbench Collection 😁
Rx 550 does not have more processing power than GT 1030, but it has more bandwidth and this version has double the memory. In older games with smaller textures they were roughly equal (GT 1030 even better in some games, due to better drivers) , but in newer games 2 GB is simply not enough even for a bare minimum.
*Bro, the rx 500 series cards have a driver problem in Cyberpunk. The headlights are not displayed on the road and it looks like a few other lights are not working. AMD writes about this problem, but they haven't been able to fix it since December :((( That's why the game did not look quite the same as usual on your video.*
my AMD R9 370x 4GB with an i3 2100 and 8GB ram, it can run meny games 30 - 50 fps with high settings 1920x1080! its like really cool! and by the way my R9 370x 4GB is for RM200!
Lowballing the card throuth the whole video. Sets up x2 msaa in GTA, didn't mentioned it, sets up crowd density on high in cyperpunk, didnt mentioned it, I'm not talking about comparison of 720p and 800x600 on 1030 in warzone.
1 - that's reflection MSAA, not intensive at all, MSAA is disabled. 2 - crowd density is a CPU intensive setting, doesn't make a difference on GPU performance. Anything else I need to correct you with? :)
Gotta call bs that they didn't know the gpus were mined on tbh. Never heard of this brand in Italy or the US though so can't speak to that. Had a friend running a 2gb version of this card, he recently upgraded, and I had to talk him into getting a used rx 580 8gb for about half the price of the 6500xt he almost picked up, since he needs video encode/decode, and he has a pcie 3 system

the low profile is excellent for PC's like the dell Floptyplex SSF to get some gaming going on a old office pc without messing with the psu. I popped this in a ssf build with a i5 2500k and it runs red dead 2 great on our small 19" monitor downstairs. We set it up so my kids friends have a fortnite machine when they visit him. I found myself down there a few times playing on it with zero issues. Red dead looks closer to the xbox one than the newer consoles however. its a bit soft, but games like apex and fortnite look just fine and run at 1080p
Have one in a pc for my nephew when he comes over it plays 1080p. Games just fine i think it is a great card for what it is i paid 40 bucks 4 years ago for it was tempted to sell when i could have gotten 100 but wanted a 2nd machine

Just to note on Apex legends my frames crashed on high participial moves, like smoke screen, gas turrets and thermite grenades but it has to be in proximity of you or in it, another tip I can give to combat against this is lock in your frames for the game at 30 fps so you hopefully never experience this harsh dip it will make you lose.
Actually a decent option if found for the right price .I wonder if there'll be any more GPUs under 100$ like succesors to this and GT 1030

Sed times ... 6500XTs seem to be dropping in price fast though, so at least there's that
6500 xt in germany goes for under 200 bucks at times. Actually saw one on Mindfactory for like 169 euro.

I modded my RX 550 with an Arctic Accelero S2, it runs passive now without any fans, although the heatwave forced me to use one.

Have one in a pc for my nephew when he comes over it plays 1080p. Games just fine i think it is a great card for what it is i paid 40 bucks 4 years ago for it was tempted to sell when i could have gotten 100 but wanted a 2nd machine

Nvidia GT 1030
16GB ram.

GTA 5 will run at around 40-60 fps at 1080p high

Just to note on Apex legends my frames crashed on high participial moves, like smoke screen, gas turrets and thermite grenades but it has to be in proximity of you or in it, another tip I can give to combat against this is lock in your frames for the game at 30 fps so you hopefully never experience this harsh dip it will make you lose.
