Just wanna drop in here and say how much we love seeing you guys have genuine conversations here in the comments. It’s the absolute best and we love you all
Yes, very good conversation. On the latest Alter Bridge album they released almost half of it as singles before the actual date and I felt like it reduced some of the impact. This year I've heard several albums without listening to more than one or two singles before hand - Beyond the Black and In Flames being perfect examples - and I still love the rush of hearing them that way.
Ok I thought I was losing my mind when I thought this reminded me of Postal Service. Thank you for confirming I'm not crazy. And this song is absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you you guys are the best youtubers in the world i've been discovering since yall reacted to void of vision year of the rat redux with jacob from thornhill and I love how you guys are very open and honest.
I actually like the way they've been releasing singles, mostly because it gives me time to savor each song individually and really give it the time and attention I feel it deserves. Some of the singles didn't click with me immediately, and I feel like if I had experienced them for the first time in the midst of all the other songs on the album, I might not have spent as much time with them to reach a level of understanding/appreciation. There's definitely an exciting element to having 7-8 brand new songs to listen to all at once when an album drops, but on the other hand I feel there's something special about highlighting each individual song one at a time.
i really like this take and completely agree. I dont really like the idea of basically getting half an album on the day it actually drops, however after listening to the singles as they've dropped i know for sure there are some i wouldve not given nearly as much attention to without them having come out by themselves. Dropping more singles gives me time to appreciate each track instead of just picking out 3, 4, 5 from the album i really like and putting those on repeat.
I strongly agree, I really brew on each one after it's individual realease, I listen to them on repeat. By time the whole album releases I think Ill really be able to fully enjoy it in its entirety rather than binging the whole album on one sitting and cherry picking my favorites for my playlist
Definitely agree with this. I discovered Sleep Token almost a year ago and I found myself just listening to the their top songs/the songs I liked the most non stop, even after listening to the albums in order. Somehow, a lot of songs just slipped through the net for me and was months later, when I forced myself to listen to them, that I really appreciated them and now are some of my favourites. But, if I could choose, I wouldn’t have any more releases until the album is out. I’m in need of a “Christmas morning” feeling that I know I’ll get on May 19th!!! 😊
I think it’s honestly smart too because it keeps them at the front of people’s minds with every song that comes out. A new song drops and I personally go back to other songs of theirs even more.
I do agree that this kind of release system is taking away from the experience of listening to the entire album on drop day, yet I also like the way this way of releasing singles has a very natural progression tied to it. It was the same with sundowning back then. I don't feel like I just suddenly have all this music that I listen to on repeat and without an end until the next thing comes out and I do the same thing again, but instead I feel like Sleep Token ist just gradually creeping up into all of my playlists - and I like that! Also it's kind of like having a nice piece of candy every once in a while...
I may be in the minority in this, but I am always happy to hear a song before it gets released on the album, as long as it's not a leak or coming from a 3rd party. I can still experience the album as a whole but can vibe more with the stuff that I already know and already love. Maybe I'm weird. Idk
Yeah the original patterns they were going with of dropping 2 songs every few weeks would’ve been really fun and it proved to be extremely effective in their numbers but I understand people wanting to wait for the album. At the same time they could always just not listen to it lmao
Actually it’s a first experience but whatever the number of songs on the album, the set list and how the tracks are arranged and following one another are going to give us a different experience and that’s why I’m super excited about the album and also absolutely love how they are releasing the tracks until now
I decided to hurt myself and make this song seem like I'm talk to my inner self. It really hits different when you are listening to those questions that you've probably asked yourself a few hundred times.
I think it's a song about himself, not loving himself and the autotune seems to even be a choice in even it being used because he doesn't love himself based on the lyrics. That insecurity. Initially thought it was about someone else but the more I listen to it, it's a talk with himself in the mirror.
For me, by the time the album is released, all of the songs that I've heard will be like old friends. I'll really enjoy getting together with them all, and as I get to listen to the album straight through it will be yet another new experience. I'm sure it's different for different people, but I'm also the kind of person who loves to re-watch favorite movies or re-read favorite books.
I think the individual track releases works really well for this album. I don't think either release method is better, inherently. Like, for a concept album, you would not release singles like this. But these songs have been more like episodes or chapters and it works for me. And you can't deny it's worked for the hype. These guys are blowing up right now!
I look at my notifications for releases on Spotify everyday, when a full album is released after I’ve heard some songs that are released I listen to it all in full so i can experience the entire album
I’m old school, playing cd’s in the car. Would always have bought the album no matter what. I feel that with the reaction videos included, it’s in their interest to try and be seen by a variety of reactors or whoever to get their songs out there. This latest track will appeal to a wider audience and the possibility of getting onto mainstream radio. You do a lot in helping bands get recognition! I really wish them success in having this much talent and the work that they put into everything. I’m really proud of them.
I have liked how they've been releasing the single, especially when they released 4 songs within the space of a month before the album was even announced because that just adds to the mystery of the band and not knowing what they'll do next or what to even expect next. Having so many songs to listen to before the album comes out is like having a EP that's then followed up by a full length album, and Take Me Back To Eden is supposed to be over an hour long, so we've not even recieved half of that yet so there is still plenty to look forward to!
I just went back and caught your reaction to "the love you want" from like a year ago. You said in the video that ST only had 25,000 subscribers. JUST LOOK AT THEM NOW! Like a proud parent, I am. 😊😊
Love how every song always has its own sound, and this one to me is very different compared to their "usual sound" and I'm not mad about it...this could be the song that enters the mainstream
Album from start to finish for sure. I like the tantalising of them releasing track by track bc you can appreciate each song and give it the time it deserves
Edit- lmfao YOU SAID IT! yesss! Thats what i get for commenting before finishing the vid. P.s. the postal service/death cab 20th anniversary tour this year is gonna be fantastic. Its such an unexpected but chill vibe. It reminds me of like early 2000s postal service minimalist indie pop stuff and im here for it
So I found this video and your channel by complete accident. The YT algorithm just decided to throw this video in my sidebar and I was lucky enough to click it. I absolutely loved this song. After you both finished watching it I went and got the video and sent it to basically everyone I know. It's fantastic. A lot of the background production reminds me of things I've heard on 4 Producers 1 Sample with Andrew Huang. But the vocals remind me of artists I enjoy like Stephen, Eden/Eden Project, and maybe Rosenfeld. Not to lessen how great and distinct Sleep Token is though. To the question you posed though about exposure and experiencing this album - This is the first I've ever heard of Sleep Token, let alone this album. So I do get to go and enjoy the full album going in completely blind after this. I'm not as up to date as I'd like to be on new releases but I guess that's an advantage in this case?
I definitely believe in having the full album experience; I'm old, and I still listen to albums front to back, and my favourite albums have zero skips (I'm sure this will be one of them) that said, I also spoil myself on everything I'm excited about, knowing that it won't ruin that first listen on the day; sure, I'll know the songs, but I won't know how the project as a whole flows, and basically all of Sleep Token's releases have been concept albums so that'll be a new experience
For me I have been waiting for each song release from sleep token and as soon as it drops I'm onto it. But I do agree with Jonny in the sense that I would have loved for a few songs and then the full album drop as this album would have been an experience blind, as you don't know what to expect. But from the band's point of view I get the way it's done in modern times
Agree 100% about releasing the album together. You absolutely nailed it. It’s all for marketing I’m sure but I miss so much being able to just anticipate an album in its entirety and having it blow my mind.
I don't remember the last time I listened to an entire album. I just do hodge podge playlists or reaction videos. Saying that now it makes me want to listen to several albums from start to finish.
No matter how many singles get released i still listen to albums front to back a couple times to try to understand the flow of the album and why they put it together in such a way. Plus i never pay attention to song names so im horrible at remembering them. So i just go to the album and push play and i dont know what to expect anyways so the surprise of whats next is still there for me.... And side note, i have heard the reason some bands are releasing more singles has something to do the way streaming platforms pay and the algorithm works better for the band or something.....It may have been one of your guys interviews but I cant remember lol
Its taken a few listens, but I'm really starting to like this song a lot. As for consuming music...I like hearing songs as they drop, but 100% look forward to listening to the album front to back. I feel like there's more of a connection to the artist when I follow the journey of a well thought out album.
I understand that those who loved the summoning will be turned off with this one but me who has adhd, i am so looking forward for the entire album because i know it will give me all that high and lows, soothing and growling etc. The band also is breaking the stereotype of genres so I am very grateful for all their releases. They don't want to be boxed in anything and explores diverse range. Plus Vessels voice is heavenly he really needs to explore every genre to improve creativity. This band for me is like a representation of neuroplasticity. I hope more people will appreciate them not just rock and metal fans. And if you're a mental fan with SOs who's not into metal maybe you can gel with some on STs vanilla songs. #babymakingsongs 😂😂😂
In terms of finding new music I watch channels like yours. RUclips algorithms are good for music discovery, even with older bands too. Jolly good work chaps.
Music is one of the things I hold most dear. It can help me with anxiety and depression. It can pump me up or make me cry my eyes out. Music is the one thing that makes me truly feel something
What an insanely different song. Really beautiful. Reaction channels have really helped broaden yet still refine my taste in music. I've started listening to a lot of shit that I never would have found otherwise. Electric callboy... spiritbox... lorna shore... architects... NF... etc. I don't go out of my way to listen to Sleep Token regularly, but I do listen to their new releases within a day or 2. Though interestingly enough... I very much so frequent Will's covers of Sleep Token...
great reaction as always guys, i love that you appreciate well-produced music whether its heavy or not. and about that question, if a band is in like, my top 3, usually i will check out the new releases when they come out, but sometimes it just takes me a while, even with my favourite band don broco, i almost forgot last album until a while after the singles and even the album came out, and then when i finally listened to the album in full, i was hyped for them 1000% more than ive ever been. then i had sort of been listening to sleep token since last summer and loved chokehold so i managed to listen to all their TMBTE singles quickly after they came out, then i've completely fallen for them so hard with this album. but i might not be a great reference point because i have autism and adhd so the way i order my listening to stuff is extremely sporadic, i either leave it for months or im waiting for it to come out, often i'll only remember to listen to something if im hyperfixated on it (like i was with sleep token after chokehold) or if i'm reminded by something. its... a very unreliable system lmao
It gives me Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Postal Service vibes. Another way to take advantage of the production is to hold your phone horizontally under your chin, screen up. So if you don’t have headphones, try that. It massages your brain.
I've been loving the diversity of this record thus far. Can't wait to hear the full album. Also this is the first time I really DON'T MIND AT ALL having a TON of singles. It's just really fun in this albums context. I do a bit of both, like I missed every single for the last Sleeping with Sirens album before it dropped, but I also have checked out EVERY single from this album
It's interesting hearing a large chunk of the album before it comes out, but I think that listening to all these tracks in the context of the album (I.E order etc.) will still be enjoyable as a full experience.
Hey lads! I'm definitely on the side of finding one really great song, being curious about the artist and then going to listen to their latest album. Perfect example is Bury Tomorrow and Story of the Year - I heard or saw one thing about them, went to check it out and it took me down the rabbit hole to listen to some of their earlier materials. Singles are great, but I love immersing myself in an album
I'm always looking for new releases, and keeping an eye on things, but with how much music I listen to and how much there is, there are always things I miss and love to find after the fact. I'm also younger, getting past my early 20s, but the full album experience has always been my preferred way to listen, and no matter how many times I listen to singles that drop, I'll always spin full albums, front to back, to get that whole musical experience that the artists usually intended with progression of tracks and the storytelling that is often there, lyrically and musically. The way they've been releasing these is very interesting, and I think its definitely strategic to help them grow, and for that I'm grateful that they're doing it because they deserve the recognition. It'll still be interesting to hear where all of these singles are in the tracklist (I know this is probs out there already but I haven't seen it), how the album flows, and its still very possible to get that surprise in variation depending on how they handle that.
Such a great song and just shows how incredibly varied Sleep Token are and why they are so good. Really get the Postal Service reference for this track!
I find most of my new music through reaction channels. I love having time to enjoy the singles and I always take the time to run through the whole album when it comes out. I still have moods where I listen to albums all the way through rather than just singles.
The whole singles vs albums thing really just comes down to the times we live in. Singles are just better for the artists now with streaming and RUclips and everything like that. I've seen different artists talking about it, a constant stream of singles is more lucrative. Looking at the popularity Sleep Token has gotten since January, I think that's all the proof you need.
I like 3 or 4 tracks released but mostly enjoy hearing the rest of the tracks on my own when the album drops. To me it’s like movies having three different trailers. I will watch a teaser and the first trailer but I never watch the last trailer released cuz I feel like it spoils too much of the surprise. Really like how Born Through Fire released their album. A few songs 6 months apart and then bam, rest of the album. That’s perfect for me
Honestly I would have loved it this track was kept till release on the album because my initial reaction was the same about hearing half the album. That being said I’m guessing they have a few more surprises if they’re this confident in showing off so much of the album
This song seems to be a lot more focused on the vocals and the lyrics, sorta like how Fall for Me was in the last album. I’m usually only into metal but I like literally every song they have made, only band I’ve ever liked this much.
trying to answer the question at the end I think Johnny is correct in I think this song would have been "buried" in an album where you didn't see it coming to take you on kind of the rollercoaster they are going for with how they genre bend that being said to Naths question, I guess we all kind of have our tier lists to entice us to listen to albums. some are auto listens, other entice you along the way and some you just are only enticed by the one of singles. Sleep Token I found from you guys and was amazed from the get go and then immediately added their entire discography and not just because they were the fresh face for me I just genuinely liked every track, others where I found from the channel like Slowly Slowly and Invent Animate I loved JUST the new album specifically and didn't vibe with the other stuff and that's completely okay. Someone like Moodring you just did i wasn't blown away enough so i only added the new single and went on my way a lot of the times its band I love and songs I love that I have already listened to that I don't have friends who like the music I like and that's where I turn to this channel to kind of vibe with "friends" who share a common interest with me that I can't get that reaction and that satisfaction IRL and I feel a lot of people relate to that since it's kind of a daunting music genre (metal and metalcore). from that standpoint would LOVE if you guys reacted to Annisokay's new track. I know you guys liked one of their tracks a few months back! if not that's cool and thanks for sharing music with us!
I think it’s a double edge sword. I miss the days where only a track was released so when if you were familiar with the band you had an idea of what was to come and any surprises caught you off guard. AFI, “Crash Love” was one of those experiences, album I didn’t like from the first listen but loved after multiple listens and I feel is so underrated. Then again, I love that the releasing of tracks leads to you guys reviewing them, sharing them and allowing the reach to go so much further than the man or label could actually do on their own. Sleep Token is proof that word of mouth is powerful and that’s why they are finally getting in the spotlight, you guys push the good music where it’s supposed to go…into our hands.
With my favorite bands it doesn’t matter, I’m still listening to the album end to end ( sometimes on vital vinyl). Others that I don’t care about they can release whenever and I’ll listen. The right mix of early drops is about 3 songs then I need the album. For Sleep Token though they’re a little different. The only thing that’s tied them together is that it’s Sleep Token and that’s keeping my interest. The layers in this song somewhat mirror what you can hear in an A7X song. It’s like each instrument or vocal track has an individual song that somehow comes together to give us this complex experience of the senses.
I'm always looking for new releases, and enjoy getting to listen to new singles before the album. I will still listen to the album in full when it releases, and I understand the feeling of missing the discovery aspect of the album, but it honestly doesn't bother me at all. I just like having new music to listen to and would much rather have it fed to me bits at a time than wait months for a whole album all at once.
I enjoy a full album experience. For most bands, I will only listen to the first single or two before the album drops. However, for Sleep Token, I will consume absolutely everything as quickly as possible.
Been a big fan of the band since Alkaline, but already releasing 5 songs off this album, I almost wanted to stay way and just wait for the album at this point. and thats saying something because they are really becoming one of my favorite bands. I do miss the one or 2 singles/ videos on TRL then buying the album (close to 40 crowd here). but I also understand that the market has changed to singles and streams than album buys.
Still albums from start to finish! I get why shorter EP’s are better for marketing bc of platforms like tiktok but if I hear a good single, I always play an entire album and then decide whether I like the band or not.
This could legit be a commercial radio #1, the autotune is clear, however the soul and depth of the vocal keeps it authentic for sure. This could be bonkers with a DnB remix 😂
It’s hard for me to say, I like all the singles and it’s got me listening to Sleep Token daily now, but last album I heard a great portion of before launch was Electric Callboy’s album and I listened to it a handful of times and moved on. I don’t do full album dives super often but when I do I probably didn’t know half of it first lol.
This particular album, I would definitely play from start to finish. I have been appreciating the first five songs they released in a different way when I am playing them in album order, and it makes a lot of sense how they have been ordered. This one is track 9 on the album, and I expect it will make a lot of sense that it is there when the entire album is released. The same is very likely about the fadeout on "Vore" - I am confident it will make sense when we hear what follows next. However, this doesn't apply to every album, as not every record is as consistent as this one. For instance, I don't have the same feelings about the new Periphery's latest album, which doesn't appear to be as coherent as "Take Me Back To Eden" has been thus far. On the other hand, I also like listening to Invent Animate's latest release from start to finish, it also makes a lot of sense to listen it that way.
Super vibey song and anything they do, they do it well. I wasn't expecting something like this and it's better for it. Side note I just went and saw the Mario Bros movie with my daughter and Nath is giving me heavy Mario vibes too. Mustache on point.
With my most listened to bands, I’m always on top of their new releases which is a blessing and a curse. Really agree with Johnny in that I would like 3 or 4 singles, and then a full length album with 11+ songs, 7 or 8 of which are all totally new and exciting! Sleep token singles have fully blown my tits off though so fair play to them regardless
Pretty much anything that isn't Sleep Token, The Amity Affliction, or singles that you guys cover, I don't keep up with any music and am surprised with album releases
It Varies from band to band for me. The new in flames I kept my exposure to the singles limited. I wish I could do that for sleep token. But everything they’ve been doing has kept me too on the edge of my seat so I haven’t had the restraint to do that with them.
To put things in perspective, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon was released on 1 March 1973 and didn't release their first of only two singles until 7 May 1973.
For bands I like, I will listen to the album in full when it comes out, I do find myself disappointed when I’ve already head half of it though. New Atreyu album dropped this week, then I realised it was only 8 tracks, and we had 4 of them a month ago as what I thought was an EP. I think sleep token is different though, after the way they released Sundowning they kind of created licence to do what they want.
I've listened to this song 4-5 times and as much as I've gotten into Sleep Token over the last month it just doesn't click for me. Several comments on their video say it's like Fall For Me or Take Aim which I'm also not crazy about. Nath says check it out on good headphones. I did that last night and wasn't blown away. After five incredibly strong singles I feel like the air was let out of my balloon...
Maybe on a full album listen it'll click? I definitely feel it's an interlude song, and that is the reason why it's track 9 on the album. maybe even after the full album listen when that day comes it still wont. it's the power of music and the power of the mind, everyone has different tastes and there's no right or wrong
@@mrbow50001 I did pre-order TMBTE on vinyl and still have my hopes up. I like the gradual release of singles and enjoy hearing the songs at random on my Pandora playlist. It will be great to sit down and hear it all at once.
I think in a case like this where the release of singles is doing so much for the growth of their fan base it’s ok. When established bands drop 3/4 of the album before release date it absolutely takes away from the actual release.
I find myself preferring the old school method of listening to the full album playthrough upon release with 3-4 singles beforehand; you really get a sense of a sonic journey this way, but that's IF the artists themselves are looking to create a journey with the album. It seems less artists do this today, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It feels like more are are trying to create as many viral hits on an album that they can, and that can come with or without full album cohesion. As long as the album is authentic to the artist, that's what ultimately matters!
I feel like if bands just released 2-3 songs before an album it would be perfect because they keep you excited for the release, but so far with 6 tracks being dropped by Sleep Token, that's nearly half the album already. This track was fine nothing too stand out, but did it need to be released? Probably not
I don't know if either of you have listened to an artist by the name of EDEN, but Aqua Regia and this track remind me of his singing voice, I love it so much! Typically, if you guys check out a band/artist and I like them, I check out their entire catalogue, front to back :D
I’m gonna go really off base here, but he also has a similar voice to Rob from Don Broco when he actually sings. It’s not as similar to Eden, but it’s similar enough I can’t stop hearing it.
@@linkgobrrr3358 I can get that sure. I actually just started listening to Don Broco a few months ago and damn are they good too. Although I wish they made more serious songs like One True Prince, but maybe thats because that was the first one I heard from them.
I prefer this kind of release, but I also love people to spoil me entire books/movies, I search for them so it also apply to music, with Sleep Token I'm sure if I got the entire album I would never hear/let grow lot of their songs and just listen the first 3 or 4 that interested me the most, so far I'm listening all the Take me back to Eden everyday and let grown lot of past album's songs on me too
I am a put the head phones in and listen to the entire album kinda guy but i'm always torn with bands i really like. when i see a single get dropped i cant help but hurry to listen to it. it seems like these days more and more singles r being released from albums, which is taking that whole album experience from track 1 to the end away from ppl. which then is causing bands to eliminate the music where there blend songs into the next which i love. An example would be like angel and airwaves for example. To sum it up i wish we got maybe 2 singles and be done. thanks guys, love the reviews!!
A couple misspellings there, but also another point with all the singles. We end up listening to them so much that when the entire album comes out, to me anyways, i dont end up appreciating those singles as much when listening to the entire album

Agreed!
I think it’s honestly smart too because it keeps them at the front of people’s minds with every song that comes out. A new song drops and I personally go back to other songs of theirs even more.
I would normally agree about singles taking away from a full album experience, however these singles have almost quadrupled their audience
I do agree that this kind of release system is taking away from the experience of listening to the entire album on drop day, yet I also like the way this way of releasing singles has a very natural progression tied to it. I actually think that this actually might be intended. Its what I did on my first listen as well and it hit me like a truck...
I kind of think all Sleep Token's stuff is "concept album" but otherwise I agree
@@MadailinBurnhope well, they're beyond concept albums; they have and entire lore!
That is a journey of a song.
Loved it.
for ST i am constantly watching for new music. i don’t wanna wait for the whole thing 😊 (and… i still can’t wait for all the rest)
Vessel: I have a song
Band: Oh cool
V: Its not heavy
B: time for a smoko
Hahahaha
I just went back and caught your reaction to "the love you want" from like a year ago. You said in the video that ST only had 25,000 subscribers. JUST LOOK AT THEM NOW! Like a proud parent, I am. 😊😊
Love how every song always has its own sound, and this one to me is very different compared to their "usual sound" and I'm not mad about it...this could be the song that enters the mainstream
Album from start to finish for sure. I like the tantalising of them releasing track by track bc you can appreciate each song and give it the time it deserves
The postal service reference I think was spot on. Man I love sleep tokens range
The band phoenix does the build masterfully as well.
Absolutely an advantage! Enjoy the ride
Yes, it sounds so much better with head phones
I definitely believe in having the full album experience; I'm old, and I still listen to albums front to back, and my favourite albums have zero skips (I'm sure this will be one of them)
that said, I also spoil myself on everything I'm excited about, knowing that it won't ruin that first listen on the day; sure, I'll know the songs, but I won't know how the project as a whole flows, and basically all of Sleep Token's releases have been concept albums so that'll be a new experience
I love the styx reference, ironically i just saw them last night with my mom ❤ love you guys' rewiews
Agree 100% about releasing the album together. You absolutely nailed it. It’s all for marketing I’m sure but I miss so much being able to just anticipate an album in its entirety and having it blow my mind.
idk why but this song made me cry
I 100% love you guys, and love your reviews! Keep doing what you do guys.🙂
I'm glad you picked up on the postal service similarities, I told my pals the same.
I also thought it was Dont You Want To Scream Like Me😂
I don't remember the last time I listened to an entire album. I just do hodge podge playlists or reaction videos. Saying that now it makes me want to listen to several albums from start to finish.
I like it, is like a interlude song, love u guys ❤
I feel like this song showcases Vessel's voice. Their other songs feel like the instruments are overshadowing his talent
"Modern day Postal Service vibe" - I totally agree
Has a very EDEN vibe, formerly known as The Eden Project. Just fucking great vox and some simple but awesome backing tracks.
I didn't realize this song came out till you guys posted this video
#babymakingsongs 😂😂😂
adhd gans YAS. That's why I love them, they're so varied they scatrch my brain in the best possible way.
@@romysv exactly!
In terms of finding new music I watch channels like yours. RUclips algorithms are good for music discovery, even with older bands too. Jolly good work chaps.
I’d LOVE to go a Sleeptoken/Dayseeker joint concert. Just rotate who opens up for who each city they go to.
Totally agree
I do totally need decent headphones! Great reaction! 😊
I would take any ride sleep token offers. I ride through every one of their albums in a daily basis. Every word of every song everyday.
I strongly with Johnny's point about album releases, I think it's very much a sign of the times, but for me less is more in terms of building up hype.
This song seems to be a lot more focused on the vocals and the lyrics, sorta like how Fall for Me was in the last album. I’m usually only into metal but I like literally every song they have made, only band I’ve ever liked this much.
I am convinced the lead singer of this band is Dan Smith from Bastille. Hiding his voice with audio tech
trying to answer the question at the end I think Johnny is correct in I think this song would have been "buried" in an album where you didn't see it coming to take you on kind of the rollercoaster they are going for with how they genre bend
that being said to Naths question, I guess we all kind of have our tier lists to entice us to listen to albums. some are auto listens, other entice you along the way and some you just are only enticed by the one of singles. Someone like Moodring you just did i wasn't blown away enough so i only added the new single and went on my way
a lot of the times its band I love and songs I love that I have already listened to that I don't have friends who like the music I like and that's where I turn to this channel to kind of vibe with "friends" who share a common interest with me that I can't get that reaction and that satisfaction IRL and I feel a lot of people relate to that since it's kind of a daunting music genre (metal and metalcore). from that standpoint would LOVE if you guys reacted to Annisokay's new track. I know you guys liked one of their tracks a few months back! if not that's cool and thanks for sharing music with us!
0:28 THE FACT THAT ME AND JOHNNY GUESSED THE SAME WRONG THING IS HILARIOUS 😂 💀💀

I wait for the album, every time! 2, 3 singles max for me I'll wait ❤ in less it's sleep token cause ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just love Sleep Token ❤
Love the Postal Service connection!! Those lil subtleties for sure!!! Gonna be a gorgeous interlude on the new album!
Dude started the veggie tales intro lol
The song was -again- super surprising - sounded to me like it could come from a "the 1975" album.
I was getting a tiny bit of haken vibes? Idk maybe just me
Ya’ll should react to Kid Brunswick! His new stuff is insane. Much love, thanks for the great content lads
I get what you mean but it's such a wildly apples and oranges argument compared to how we discover and consume music today.
It‘s no argument. We don’t even know if he likes Pink Floyd xD
@@bradleyhall4315 that is the point and kind of the point they were trying to make in their video.
Their poppy sounding stuff reminds me of The 1975
1975
For bands I like, I will listen to the album in full when it comes out, I do find myself disappointed when I’ve already head half of it though. New Atreyu album dropped this week, then I realised it was only 8 tracks, and we had 4 of them a month ago as what I thought was an EP. I think sleep token is different though, after the way they released Sundowning they kind of created licence to do what they want.
This song is very much a The 1975 vibe!
I got massive Francis and The Lights vibes from this track as well.
@@JPSchulzy82 most definitely dude, it'll be refreshing to hear all the songs in the album order
It feels like a 2 minute interlude song like "What it Cost" on Bad Omens new album
Postal service is the dcfc side project you were thinking about and it is really good
Nath literally said that?
Wierd you mentioned that. A few of their songs gave me that impression too, thought I was the only one.
@@goynus6815 Don Broco are an amazing band!
100%
I prefer this kind of release, but I also love people to spoil me entire books/movies, I search for them so it also apply to music, with Sleep Token I'm sure if I got the entire album I would never hear/let grow lot of their songs and just listen the first 3 or 4 that interested me the most, so far I'm listening all the Take me back to Eden everyday and let grown lot of past album's songs on me too
Definitely sounds like a 1975 song.
Please do A Kiss For The Whole World! x
Obviously the title is do you wish that you loved me
I am a put the head phones in and listen to the entire album kinda guy but i'm always torn with bands i really like. when i see a single get dropped i cant help but hurry to listen to it. it seems like these days more and more singles r being released from albums, which is taking that whole album experience from track 1 to the end away from ppl. which then is causing bands to eliminate the music where there blend songs into the next which i love. An example would be like angel and airwaves for example. To sum it up i wish we got maybe 2 singles and be done. thanks guys, love the reviews!!
A couple misspellings there, but also another point with all the singles. We end up listening to them so much that when the entire album comes out, to me anyways, i dont end up appreciating those singles as much when listening to the entire album
another question when are you guys gonna create a twitch channel?
Close enough.
