I just found your videos. I appreciate the ease of explaining that you do. Sometimes people make the videos harder to understand than the actual job. Thanks!
Fabulous job !!! I'm still in my early stages of working with one color when heat pressing . Actually I'm a bit scared to move forward to work with a second color for a project . I do appreciate this video and will continue to view all steps as a reference . Thank You .
Such a great video. I love the way you layered your vinyl, especially on the last one. I am just starting to get into heat pressing and I'm so glad I found your channel. I need all the help I can get. I LOVE your heat press too. I'm jealous!
I am in awe right now! Thank you for your videos. I just found you today. I would like to know how to do this from the beginning as in how to make the original template of layering the design upon creation. I will search for a video on that.
Love, love, love the video and design. I'm not sure what I love more tho. The great video, or the anticipation of hearing the word "SO" being said so many times.
Glad that I ran across your tutorial. Very informative, since I'm in the process of starting my own business at home. Next time I go up to Beaumnt will try and visit your shop. Thanks
I so enjoy your videos! I know you have to wait 24 hours until you can wash the garment, but do you recommend to always turn the shirts wrong side out when washing in order to protect the vinyl?
I'm having issues with my top layers peeling after about 10 washes, what am I doing wrong? My layers aren't glitter layers nor are they being layered on glitter
So... I just got a new cricut. I had the expression and now I have the maker! Your video's are great. Thank you for all the tips. This mask is amazing. Do you have a video that shows how to outline letters and images?
when she did the tie - did she use regular vinyl thus having to use the clear plastic from another piece or did she use a brand that does not come with the clear protective piece to peel off once you apply it?
In a previous video, to find the center, you matched the first letter and last letter while bending the design. Doesn't look like you did that in this video, for the 1st shirt, when finding the center. Wondering what you used and why?
I noticed on the site there are several sizes for the alignment ruler. Are they for different sizes because of size shirts,,ie childrens, misses..etc ?
How do you know the designs are straight? I know you use a ruler at the top, but that doesn't seem very precise. Is this a thing that you just get good at doing the more often you do it?
Hi, I've done some htv layering shirts but I keep getting transfer tape lines showing on the first vinyl I put down. Does that make any sense? I heat press the first layer, then do the next and when I lift the second one I see the lines from that transfer tape..I don't know what I'm doing wrong..help anyone??
Grisel Gallardo I had this issue to. It's best to tack the second layer for a couple seconds just until you can peel the carrier sheet away then cover with a teflon sheet and press the entire design. The final press seems to remove the lines.
I purchased the Mardi Gras SVG from your store and the file is too big on Cricut Design Space. I tried to reduce the size and the change the X and Y axis to 0 and it had lines all through it. Please advise! Thank you!
This is a stupid question... but...Can you use the HTV that you weed off? Was just wondering as sometimes I feel waste a lot. Can I re stick it to the carrier sheet and use it???TIA
Vicki P You could use a weeding box (just add a shape around your design in your software before you cut) or cut around your design with scissors after your machine cuts the design. That's what I do to save vinyl. The smaller scraps are enough to use on shirts for my kids.
Help!!! I'm so confused. Can someone help me how many seconds are you supposed to press total? How many times. I was worried to over press, is that not something to worry about. If you are layering one color on top of the other...you just tack down the first layer, 5 seconds? Then the second layer the full time, 15 seconds. Then a 3rd press for the full 15 seconds, after you peel the last backing off? For designs where you have two colors but they don't overlap/layer... you press each color for the full 15 seconds? So in a shirt with 2 colors. First color 15 seconds, 2nd color 15 seconds, then peel off clear sheet and press for another 15 seconds. Is that correct? Does this change if you have 3 or 4 different colors? Does using 100% cotton change anything. Thank you for anyone who can explain this to me. To the creator of this video I appreciate so much you sharing this. I think the video was great I just don't want to make a mistake because I got confused, you weren't the cause of my confusion, I just have heard different things elsewhere and want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding what you are saying.
How do you get the image to cut just like the design shows up? I've tried on my cricut and I don't know if I need to set it a certain way, but it moves all of the images to the top and to the left to save your HTV. But when doing multi colored designs, I want it to cut it as the design is set up. Can you help me please? Thanks in advance.
On Design Space select all pieces of the same color and weld them. Do this for each color. Your Cricut will then cut them exactly where they appear on your design. This method can waste some vinyl but it keeps everything lined up
My problem with layering vinyl is that the under layers get all wrinkly. Does this happen to anyone else? How do I prevent that from happening in the future?
It looks like teflon to me. LOL. I worked at a place where we did screen printing and tackle twill and it looks like some we had! lol...guess they're that old too.
Cuttin Corners Vinyl Nederland, Tx what size should you get? It's doesn't really say anything about the different sizes....should I get a 9" for small toddler shirts and a different size for adult shirts or will one size work for all size shirts...???
Denise Cashner I would maybe cut a square of cardboard in 16" or whatever you choose and use that as a guild with this. Then once you have it in place, put your shirt on whatever surface you use with your iron.
I must say that you are the most helpful and informative person I've ran into since beginning my journey with HTV. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Great video, but all the “so’s” drove me a bit nutty 😂
Love the Mardi Gras one!! And I didn't know the vinyl would shrink a bit if presses too long.
LOVE THIS TUTORIAL! THE MARDI GRAS MASK IS SO... PRETTY! THANKS

Awesome shirt and tutorial on layering HTV
Hey I would love to see how you made or where you got your vinyl holder. Thank you!
OMG ill have to remember that mask one that is GORGEOUS !!!
Thank you!! So much easier explained especially in regards to attaching and slicing. Now I know what I need to do exactly.
This is a really cute design. Thanks for charging your tips.
I love how you showed how to layer it in pieces then heat presser it. But how do you print it?
I so enjoy your videos! I know you have to wait 24 hours until you can wash the garment, but do you recommend to always turn the shirts wrong side out when washing in order to protect the vinyl?

Love your heat press!
Oh I like that one! Love your videos!

Love your videos! Very helpful. I'm looking in the background of the video, where did you get your rack to hold your vinyl in?
How can we purchase T-shirt guide? I NEEEED that!!
Love your videos! Very creative.. Where did you get your vinyl storage at?
Would you please give us a list of your favorite brands of T-shirts, Raglan's etc? Thanks
Thanks so much for this tutorial!!! Life saver! And you are crushing it girl! So impressive!
I enjoy these instructional videos-thank you. It is difficult to overlook all the “so’s”. I try not to focus on them.
This one is old they have gotten better.
I noticed on the site there are several sizes for the alignment ruler. Are they for different sizes because of size shirts,,ie childrens, misses..etc ?
great information but you do love the word SO
Crafts Outrageous Val Robinson SO
Thanks for making vinyl cheaper!!! & always taking time to inform
God Bless
I purchased your Mardi Gras one and I love it
Siser recommends only tacking it when layering instead of pressing it for so long so many times. Do you find anything peels from overheating it ?
Not for me and I’ve made thousands of shirts
Cuttin Corners Vinyl awesome thanks for the response love your channel
When laying on top do you have a problem with it peeling later??
When making several different layers how do you know you have the proper measurements for each layer?
Design it layered on top on each other for sizing. When you have it sized right separate your layers.
Where are you getting those raglans? Love the fit and texture of them.
Where can I get one of the measuring board things you use to like up your vinyl??
Love all your designs
Thanks for showing us how to do this!
Did you make this design yourself or did you purchase/download it?
The thing about vinyl is... anyone can do it but the best imagination wins
I really enjoy your videos.
How many washes before it starts to peel?
Love your videos. What is your website?
Where can I get t shirt guide?
How do you know the designs are straight? I know you use a ruler at the top, but that doesn't seem very precise. Is this a thing that you just get good at doing the more often you do it?
Since the backing is sticky and you is th the straight line on the plastic liner it’s very hard to get it twisted.
@@CuttinCornersVinyl Thank you! I'm pretty sure I could figure out how to mess it up. ;) I'm perusing your site as I type this!

I have found that a final press with a cover sheet over the entire design with all the tapes removed will make those lines vanish.
Thank you for this tip!!!
What was that little thing that you pulled off that said center, right, left with all the arrows??
It’s our T-shirt guide we sell them on our website www.cuttincornersvinyl.com
How do you separate the different designs to cut out the different colors.
I have videos on using the software
What brand is your heat pressure?
Can you make a video step by step doing multi colors in the cameo 3
At any point- on any shirt that your doing do you spray the shirts with scotch guard?
Have you tested this much layering with washing? If so, how many washings? I have heard that the upper layers peel off and don't last.
fls mw yes when it's applied properly this will last forever.
Thank you so much. I feel confident now since this is your profession and you appear extremely professional.
Also, if you're washing your clothes inside out, this helps protect the image & don't use harsh detergents
how do i cut a design that has 4 colors like the Seminole Indian head
On your website there are several sizes for the alignment ruler. Are they for different sizes because of size shirts,,IE children, misses..etc
No it’s for different size heat presses
Do you have to use heat transfer on shirts?
Love the glitter, too

What are you talking about slicing?
what is it that you are using to measure where to place the black layer at the beginning of the video.
Its our t-shirt guide its on our website www.cuttincornersninyl.com
Thanks so you recommend a specific vinyl cutter? Cameo 2 or 3 or another brand?
How do you avoid the shiny appearance on the tees after heat pressing? I use a teflon sheet. I hate that shine.
Thank you
I would have liked to see how you actually created the design & separated the colors when cutting the vinyl
Would like to see how you sliced the design
Where can I get a ruler like yours??
love your videos, I'm gonna order your tool I like it ,i had forgot it on my first order lol
For some reason I thought you couldn't put layers over glitter? But I see that you can! Cool!
You're not supposed to put layers over glitter. She put glitter layers on top of a regular htv, that you can do.
Thanks, guess I missed that. @@SMorgan716

What did you use in the video to protect your vinyl as you heat? It does not look like Teflon or parchment.
its Teflon its old. Ive had that one for 12 years
Wow that's a long time!
It looks like teflon to me. LOL. I worked at a place where we did screen printing and tackle twill and it looks like some we had! lol...guess they're that old too.

The difference in sizes relates to the size of your heat press. If you have a 16" heat press get that size ruler.
Covae Covae ahhhhh..thanks! Makes sense lol well, what would you get if you just use an iron?
