My husband is from Colorado Springs! We went there about 12 years ago and it was the best vacation ever!! We loved it even more than our Duluth MN trip. We couldn’t make it to the top of Pikes Peak because it had snowed the night before we went up and it couldn’t go up all the way. Took the cog railway and it was so much fun! Glad you had a good time and it’s fun to get away without the babies sometimes too even though we miss them and think of them while we’re gone :)

My Oldest Daughter had Twins a Boy and a girl too they are 18 now still remember the days when they were so little and loved every minute I got to spend with them so beautiful they grow so fast ,Happy Grandma gets to spend time with them is wonderful dear , 💖

Yeah I think journaling is really helpful for me too, to just let out everything…. Those plumbing issues sounds like a nightmare! And tornados and kitchen accidents. Damn. Hope things get better for you soon!

Your “kitchen accidents” cannot be as bad as my recent one!! My husband bought a new knife sharpener and he sharpened all of our knives… I was trimming fat off of a brisket getting it ready to smoke… and the knife slid ever so slowly.. but hit my knuckle on my thumb…. Ever so softly!! But……. I heard it hit the bone in my knuckle!! I was home alone… hubby was three hours away… so I texted him… said.. I think I need stitches… and I headed to the urgent care center!! Instead of stitching me up.. they put ”steri strips” over it… but it bled like CRAZY!! I would have put steri strips on myself if it had happened to my right hand.. but I am left handed and I couldn’t get the wound closed well enough because of all the blood!! (Sorry to get gross)… but in any case……. I am sure your “wounds” can’t be as bad as mine looked!! Lol. Eventually I had to make myself a “splint”.. because every time I bumped it or bent it even slightly.. it would open up. The splint worked.. and it is healed fairly well now… still tender to the touch a little.. but not an open wound anymore. I was lucky I didn’t hit any tendons!! Lol.
Anyway…… vitamin E works well to keep from getting scars!! Hope your “kitchen accidents” are all healed by now!!

I find I always have accidents in the kitchen if i'm tired mentally. Hopefully since you are back from your time away you will not have anymore 😁
The new water painting looks so nice, it is more dramatic? I think the word is? Like the paintings of the flowers you did in darker tones one time. I really like it.
