- Kim and I had a special guest with us at the bins this week! Angelina was home for Thanksgiving and she spent all morning with us at the Goodwill Outlet! She found almost as much as I did!! Those little cowgirl boots are adorable! Angie got some great things(and you of course)‼️ If I met her in person, I would tell her what I heard all my life, "you look just like your mother". I always found it to be a compliment ♥️ Hugs and scratchies to Lumpy 🐾🐾❣️

The Apel jacket is a ‘bed jacket’. A vintage version of a robe you wear while you’re reading in bed, having breakfast in bed or lounging. Great for a hospital visit too :)

Hi Lori. The little pink quilted jacket you found is from the 50s and 60s. It’s called a bed-coat. Ladies wore them when they were on bed rest or in the hospital after a baby. You could look pretty above the covers.
I vote we see Angie going to the bins more! She found the cutest items and gives a different perspective on bolos.

Lori I just bought the cloud 9 (warners I think) from Kohls. Soft and comfy, no wires, an acceptable amount of support, and not expensive.
Those red pants were Aventures Des Toiles which is a really fun unique brand very artsy .

RHE bins love em, the small leather wallets ++++,, my son went to NAU in Flagstaff AZ the bins there were greeat,, the professors clean and get rid of $$$ merch,, one time the new bins came out the pickers rushed the bins so I just looked behind all them found an $80 leather resteration hardware pillow as well a plastic walmart bag full of folded high end scarves, yes I mean like 30+, Vera, Fendi, Paloma Picasso, on and on it was like they just empied their dresser drawer

I have bought so many loveys at goodwill for $1.49 and have sold them for GREAT prices on eBay. $30, $40 or more! I always grab loveys when I see them. Happy Thanksgiving to your and your family. I loved seeing your daughter, she is adorable! I love your videos ❤
My favorite piece in the haul was the denim wrap dress from Merona. Great classic style. The quilted little jacket I think was a bed jacket from like the 50's or 60's. Like a shorty robe to wear in bed. Quite the vintage find. And OMG, I didn't know those little animal blankets were actually called loveys. My youngest, now 21, has one, nothing left but the head, lol, a little lamb on a yellow blanket, that said a night time prayer (that mechanism eventually melted in the dryer) and I kid you not, she was named Miss Lovey. This was 21 years ago.

Hello! Mandarina duck is an Italian brand since 1977. It is specialized in leather items for trips.
I would style the Appel jacket with a slip dress (or a satin midi skirt) and put it on a mannequin or see if Angie can model it for your photos. It’s super cute, but it’s definitely one of those items that needs a little bit of something to make it stand out in photos. I can see someone wearing it with a long dress, boots, and a baby crossbody and would probably list it at $35/40. Cute find!
Back in the 80s, Merona was sold in high end department stores in Hawaii.

The Kobalt tin was sold for a few dollars at Lowe’s and had a small cardboard insert in it to hold a gift card. My hubby received one several years ago. I think he tucked the tin in his nightstand…off to check!

I used to sell only vintage on Etsy years ago and definitely sold a few of those “bed jackets” not sure of other keywords…maybe cropped or short robe
Love that David sweater, I thought the same thing as soon as you showed it! The cropped pink quilted item is a bed jacket. Meant to be worn while you’re in bed, without the bulk of a full robe.

That thing everybody calls a bed jacket in the late 70s to yhe early 80s i had 2 of them. You wear it with a tube top or pretty lacey tank top and pants.. nobody would wear that as a bed jacket unless they were a single elder grandmother...

I’m upping my game and going to start hit the bins 2-3 times a week. It’s only 15 min from my house.
Put the jeans around your neck. If it goes around your neck without being too tight then it should fit you. If the pants don’t reach around your neck than the pants are too small. If there is a lot of extra room around your neck then the pants are probably way too big. This only works on pants like jeans and not stretchy pants. I have tried with stretchy pants and it works sometimes with stretchy pants but rarely. It is a gamble. I do this neck test with pants at Costco and stores that don’t have a dressing room.
