Same! I actually went to work in a local clothing store while in high school so I could get a 40% off discount on my clothing, including my Gunne Sax dresses! 😊
Love seeing Kim back and both of you at the bins, fun! The Jessica McClintock Gunne Sax, oh my goodness! What a find. I had 5 Gunne Sax dresses during high school, in the early 1980s, wore a beautiful cream colored one with dark brown velvet on the bodice, sweetheart neckline, ivory lace accents at a formal dance, and had another that was rows and rows and rows of white lace. Wish I had kept them, I could have some serious pocket change today! 🌸
Yay this video was so fun! I’ll never get tired of watching you and Kim at the bins! I don’t know what it is… you both are just having such a great time enjoying the hunt and enjoying your friendship! Love seeing the hauls too! I know it must be nerve-racking after paring down so much but I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself!
I graduated from high school in the SF Bay Area in 1975 and there were a couple of that style Gunne Sax dress at my prom! Those were in a solid blue fabric but the same collar and lace up front.
Hi, I live in Maryland, but I am an OG Boston Girl...grew up in Jamaica Plain, have one sister still in JP...next time I visit her I will hit the Goodwill. Center Street was my stomping grounds back in the day. The Gunne Sax dress brought me back to my HS prom day...I purchased my Gunne Sax prom dress at Bloomingdale's in the Chestnut Hill Mall...my father drove me there because neither Filene's nor Jordan Marsh in downtown Boston had the dress I had seen in Seventeen magazine. Loved your thrifting video with your friend Kim....btw if the appointment at Brighams was in Roxbury then you were right down the street from my Mission Church High School which is where I went to school. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
My girlfriends and I all wore Gunne Sax dresses at our 8 grade graduation in 1981. I remember shopping for mine with my Mom. I wish I would have kept it! I have found one prairie style GS at the bins and sold it for $250.
Yay! So happy to see Kim back. I'm glad she's well. I was getting a little worried about her. It's funny, I found a Gunne Sax at the NH bins the other day -- only my second time there. It did have some yellowing, so I'm trying to decide what to do with it. I just could not leave it there!
Yay! Great to see Kim back! I am dipping my toes into hard goods and vintage, so it is interesting to see what she finds in that category. What an amazing result with the gunne sax dress! I never wore them myself, but I did own a few Laura Ashley dresses in the early 1980s. The other not great thing about sold comps on Poshmark is that the posh show prices are also included, so people scroll through and see that items regularly listed for $50 and up, have sold for $10-$20, and that's what you get offered. I wish the live show sales were not included in sold searches. Hope you guys had a great Halloween: and that includes Mr Lumpy! 🥰
You've found some fabulous stuff again. I loved the wrapover coat and the prairie dress was so pretty. You made me laugh about the nightgown as a dress and it not being suitable for your area - where I'm from, we joke that when the weather person is bundled up, standing in three feet of snow, someone will walk by in a t shirt 🤣
Great work on the Gunne Sax dress. Glad you made it out of the goodwill okay! Nice finds from Kim as always! I always love your Boston hauls! Hope you had a great Halloween!
This time you chose real quality clothes, liked the cashmere, wool poncho and beautiful shoes . I guess the stores you went to had a better selection to pick from. You and Kim both looked radiant and must have lost some weight between the two of you which gave you even more glam !! Max Mara is a very valuable pricey brand in Europe that not everyone can afford.
Amen! I so miss my trick or treaters. I buy one full size box of candy bars because like you, we don’t get many kids. Love your style and all your finds around the city. My area doesn’t have anything close but we travel to New Orleans and Mississippi for our granddaughters so we definitely thrift there. ❤ Thanks again for sharing your story. Sending much thrift love from Big Sky Country in Montana
I just raced to your closet for that Boden jacket and it was sold! Such a great find. Your closet clear out has been inspiring. I am focusing on being more mindful with my sources and it has really made sourcing more enjoyable. Can’t wait to see where your closet lands at the end of the year.
Make an oxiclean and dawn dish soap paste and scrub it into the armpits- I like to use my hands so I don't pill the fabric. It'll probably come right out. 50 year old armpit stains are my specialty lol
I love that Gunne Sax, how gorgeous! I've had one listed for at least a year and a half, but it's a little damaged, so I think that's why. I did sell a blouse in a kid's size about a month ago for $20. I think I have another one that I haven't listed yet as well.
Hi Lori, Great video as always. Just a quick note: The auto detect and delist feature on Vendoo is not an add on feature. It's part of the standard features. 😊
Hey Lori, another great video! Great to see Kim too. Did you sell the wrap around black coat? Do you think it would fit a medium? Did look but couldn’t see it listed
If you mix baking soda and vinegar - it cancels out their chemical properties. So it doesn't do anything and probably why you had to try a few times. The hydrogen peroxide in the dawn/BS/HP combo is the component that helps whiten it out. Glad it all came out!
i recently found two gunne sax dresses at the bins!!! i have been struggling to get myself to clean them because I didn’t want to harm the fabric, but I will definitely be using what you have used in your video!
Good video, you and Kim look great. You and Tina must be very busy shipping everything. Can you add the label maker you use to your list of tools, thanks
Those rainbow FP jeans would be an easy fix for the right buyer. He/she could just add a patch over the flaw. It would fit the rainbow vibes of the jeans.
I've heard that there are issues wirh gangs at the Boston bins so I've been too afraid to go in by myself. Then I saw in your video that you looked fine at the bins. But then there was a brawl in the store? 😕
I'm a Vendoo super fan. I hope you have a chance to make a correction on your statement about auto sales detection and delist. It's not an add-on feature. It's included with every subscription. You have a ton of followers. I just want them to have the correct information.

I still have 3 Gunne dresses I had from the 70’s. I’m saving them for when my granddaughter gets old enough to wear them!!!
We missed you Kim!!
Good luck with your new gig Kim.

I love you and Kim together! You remind me of me and my bestie, lol! You both look terrific!!!
Thank you! She's the best!
Yes! I wore a Gunne Sax dress in 1975. So many classmates had that style.

I owned and wore at least two Gunny Sax dresses. Loved them and still do. They were purchased at an outlet store in San Francisco back in the 70's.
My girlfriends and I all wore Gunne Sax dresses at our 8 grade graduation in 1981. I remember shopping for mine with my Mom. I wish I would have kept it!

Good to see Kim!! You got some great seasonal pieces. If you price them right they will move quickly for a nice profit👏👏👏👏
That neckline reminds me of a gunny sack blouse that I wore to my junior high school graduation in 1983. If that helps you date it.
I graduated from high school in 1983 & wore a Gunne Sax dress 😊
You and Kim both look amazing!
Hope you can save the Gunne Sax dress. You had me giggling with the remark about 40-year old arm pit stain.🤣 Good to see you both!

YAY!! I have missed watching the two of you!
New here...love the Cape...my fav place to vacation ❤
What great finds! I never find anything like you do at the bins! I was married in a Gunne Sax dress - still debating on whether to sell it.
@melaw5 I had a Gunne Sax prom dress. I really wish I still have it!
Happy Halloween 🦇 💀 🎃 so glad to see kim and you together going to the Binds and shopping 🛒 Great cherished fun memories,! ❤

I wore a Gunny Sax as a wedding dress in 1980... yours washed beautiful!!
I wore a Gunne Sax sundress to my high school graduation in 1982. Loved it!

yes, I had the cutest ever Gunne Sax dress for my engagement party when I was 21. I wish I still had it!!
Hi Lori , love your videos! Love when you’re with Kim, too. Where can I find the 3x JJill top? Thx!
I just raced to your closet for that Boden jacket and it was sold! Such a great find. Your closet clear out has been inspiring. I am focusing on being more mindful with my sources and it has really made sourcing more enjoyable. Can’t wait to see where your closet lands at the end of the year.
Just started watching your new video. Love you, girls!!!❤️❤️
What a fun day of thrift shopping 😊
Love u two girls!
I did wear a Gunne Sax for my bridal shower. You are looking so great and refreshed!
Hi Lori hi Kim
Thanks for the video I really enjoyed watching it
Lived by the outlet in San Francisco-sorry I didn’t keep any of them. Between Gunny SAK and Esprit Outlet-both in San Fran or used to be in the 80’s
You can definitely get those pit stains out. I found a Sezane silk blouse at the bins with awful pit stains but I soaked it & it was good as new!
Make an oxiclean and dawn dish soap paste and scrub it into the armpits- I like to use my hands so I don't pill the fabric. It'll probably come right out. 50 year old armpit stains are my specialty lol
Gunne Sack is on my list of dresses to find. How Lucky! Love your videos ❤

wow you should wear royal blue. 😍. Yeah, I had a few Gunne's back in the day. One for prom, one as a bridesmaid. xoxo
Hey Lori, another great video! Great to see Kim too.
Did you sell the wrap around black coat? Do you think it would fit a medium? Did look but couldn’t see it listed
I'm sorry it sold already. Thank you for watching Yvette. xo
KIM!!!!! Yesssss!!!
I have found some of my best finds on the Goodwill Halloween racks. Ours pull things that are vintage and funky.
Oh my gosh I love it when you two are together. She is the best at the bins!!! What is her store link?
Kim’s store link is in the description of the video😊
If you mix baking soda and vinegar - it cancels out their chemical properties. So it doesn't do anything and probably why you had to try a few times. The hydrogen peroxide in the dawn/BS/HP combo is the component that helps whiten it out. Glad it all came out!
Lori, you look fantastic x
My Allen Edmonds didn't sel well. Sat for a long time. Finally sold them for cheap!
i recently found two gunne sax dresses at the bins!!! i have been struggling to get myself to clean them because I didn’t want to harm the fabric, but I will definitely be using what you have used in your video!
My family could not afford Gunny Sax so I bought a pattern and fabric and made mine. I loved that dress.
You mentioned you would put Kim's eBay link in the description, but I couldn't find it??
Good video, you and Kim look great. You and Tina must be very busy shipping everything. Can you add the label maker you use to your list of tools, thanks
Happy Halloween 🎃 and super sweet about your hill and full size candy bar!! ❤
We have a J Crew Mercantile about a mile from my house in Pittsford Plaza, Pittsford NY
I find white is easier to get stains out of than any other color! Lol
You are looking so good!
Those rainbow FP jeans would be an easy fix for the right buyer. He/she could just add a patch over the flaw. It would fit the rainbow vibes of the jeans.
Vinegar on the armpit stains. Dump straight on and wash. Might take two times or so but it works like a charm
I’m 20mins south of Boston!
I just wore those rainbow jeans last night!
Peroxide on the stains. It may take several soakings but it’s worked on most of my stains.
It looks like Elsa’s dress in Yellowstone 1883 ( the gunne sax dress )
Enjoyed your haul🧡🧡
Hi Lori… great finds!!
I’ll be in Boston (@ the Lenox)..I will probably have a small window to thrift - where do you suggest I go? 😊
Hi Lori love your videos.❤
Love your videos ❤️
Yay! Kim!
Love your videos. How do we find Kim’s channel?
My sister wore a Gunne Sax dress for her wedding over 40 years ago. It was 100.00. That seemed like a lot at the time.
I wish we had bins in Montreal :)
I found a G.S. dress in the Halloween section last year. It hasn't sold yet. They're just beautiful dresses.
Where is the Goodwill bins store in Boston? There website has the closest one in Hudson, NH.
Have you listed the black nightgown yet or did it sell already? I can’t find it, thanks!
Great video
I've heard that there are issues wirh gangs at the Boston bins so I've been too afraid to go in by myself. Then I saw in your video that you looked fine at the bins. But then there was a brawl in the store? 😕
How do we see what Kim is selling?
Ooo did you pick up the toddler Patagonia?
I did get it for my grandson.
Hello! Just wondering if you are listing the kids Patagonia jacket you found at the bins? I didn’t see it in your haul.
Sorry I got it for my grandson.
Hope you had a great Halloween
Hydroperoxcide and baking soda on the stains. Leave it overnight and it will pull out the armpit stains.
Great!!!❤
My crew would sacrifice a hill for a full size candy bar!!
A dish washer tablet will get rid of the armpit rainbow 🎉
I cannot find the Bed Stu boots in your closet. Have they sold already? 😢
I'm sorry! They were the first item to sell from this haul.
@ I get it. They were amazing!! Thanks for letting me know. ❤️
Kim's store?
I was at this location today! One of these days I hope to run into you at the thrift 😂😊
I'm a Vendoo super fan. I hope you have a chance to make a correction on your statement about auto sales detection and delist. It's not an add-on feature. It's included with every subscription. You have a ton of followers. I just want them to have the correct information.
🐞Whatever happened to that online auction company? Do you still use it? Thanks. 🐞
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
My GS dress has been sitting for a year. Even at bottom price
