@@majinmatt9775 yeah alright, I give you that. That would have been a cheap fix for the guys at Ibanez. But then again, the GIO Series is about being as cheap as possible while still carrying the name Ibanez.
Mine too. ruclips.net/video/S9VDW3BhyA8/видео.html It seems Ibanez made a choice of a low cost sub contractor for the pickups. Since most of the youtube guitar players only play on computers with headset, they won't notice it. But if you play on a normal amp, or a combo...well...you just want to switch it off and drop it on a stand. That's a very bad publicity for Ibanez since entry levels are mostly for beginners, so it is often the first impression of a brand. It is sad to say, but I have to admit, the painting is cool, the neck is nice, but can't play with it. The truth is a cheapycheap Harley Benton will be a better choice. I raised a case at Ibanez, but I think they won't give a shit. So I will have to buy some pickups to change them. Started as a 300€ guitar, and gonna cost 600€ in the end.
@@nicouxgwendal Have a professional install if that's the route You're gonna take. The routing for these pickups are not normal. They sit on styrofoam.
ibanez serves entry level sector very well. At that price point you get a shitty Affinity or a trashy Harley Bentison, but Ibanez is the only brand that delivers well built intruments worth it.
Lol, "trashy Harley Bentison". U mean, best-bang-for-the-buck Harley Benton, amirite? Check out their new R-446, it's wiping the floor of all budget guitars at 149 euros! Killer reviews around the globe!
@@MaximusAdonicus The R-445 is a direct Ibanez copy. Shitty crafted, cheap parts, trash wood. So you believe in 150 bucks guitars and influencer reviews, Mr. "Maximus "Transformer" Adonicus"? Before someone has trust in your words, first check he may check your clips first.
@@iloveitall (It's R-446.) Welp, a lot of the people on tubes BOUGHT the guitar themselves, so... I don't recall anyone being sent one, maybe 1 person 🤔 Also 90% of the people who have reviewed their purchase on Thomann have written praisingly on the guitar ie. how GOOD the craftsmanship is and how GOOD the parts are for the price, so... there's hardly any doubt the guitar is delivering more bang for the buck than any other in history (the cheapest Jackson JS11 is 170e, but it's not really any better, they are in the same ballpark) 👍 And ofc a few people have had a bad specimen, but that's normal on ALL brands as evident on the reviews I've read on the webs. And if u have been following the guitar market less than a decade ago, u'd know that Harley Benton has upped their game remarkably!! They are beating the asses of brand guitars 2-3 times their worth! Hello, how is the feel of this guitar and what is the neck shape comparable to? Would you say the tuning stability is there for the price.
I think the guitar is fantastic, especially for the price. If you have the opportunity to try them out at a retailer, do it :-)
Is that the sound of the original pickups?
Yes, of course 🙂

Mine came with microphonic pickups. Thanks Ibanez!
What do expect in that price category? Hand wound boutique pickups?
