This is a ambient cello piece based in the key of D major perfect for floating, drifting and dreaming and unwinding after a stressful day. It was recorded at my studio in one take with the cello, Strymon effects pedals (BigSky and TimeLine) and SOMA Lab Cosmos loop machine which make the soundscapes blend nicely into one another. First I feed a few notes into the looper and then record more and more layers. Headphones recommended.
This single is part of a new series of singles I am releasing weekly on bandcamp. Each single includes the original track and an extended mix of approx. 1 hour for meditation, falling asleep or other uses.

Really really beautiful music and great use of the cosmos. How do you route the signal from end to end? As the cello is mono are going straight into the cosmos from the mic and sending the stereo out of the cosmos to the strymon etc? I'm hoping to try a similar setup at home, so I would really appreciate some advice :)
Hi Dexter A.G.! Thanks so much for your comment and compliments. Yes, I route the mono signal into my Strymon pedals and then the stereo out into the cosmos which is the last in the chain. I know some people put the looper first but I put it last! Perhaps I should try to reverse it and see what happens :) if you have more questions let me know. Wishing you lots of fun and success!
