He sang about peace, talked about poverty, ocean, the environment and the Amazon. JD was WAY before his time. Too bad we didn't listen to his advice, what a different world this would be.
Thank God you chose music John. Thank you for your contribution to peace and unity. I'm sad that you were taken too soon because we need your voice now more than ever! God bless you John Denver! 🙏🙏🙏
Over the years we saw John in concert each time he played in N CA John was far from perfect. He had his issues just like everyone else does however his music was some of the best, his concerts, the absolute best. We not only took our kids to one but our grandkids as well. He was way ahead of his time when it came to how we as humans should treat one another and take better care of this place we call home. For those who might not know he wrote an autobiography that sheds some interesting light on his life which might shock a few people.
I'm so thankful that we had John Denver. I loved his voice, it was so much MORE in meaning and loving. Of people, our earth, our animals. I was so fortunate to see him in concert outside twice. LOVE John Denver💕💝🌹
He always had such nice hair! I absolutely loved him when I was very young in the 70s,, his voice and songs are so soothing, even still when I listen to him.Was a sad day when he died.
that was 1958 for Jim Hanson from show from Muppet pant moth do pig stars chuckin sing in show all Muppet ray Charles cael brunet and John deveaer John Deaver just wanted be friends with Muppet Jim Henson us samli frog steetm street all 168 everybody liked him about Muppet meeting humans on show like eaihn John gone Kelly jullyandrwos
WE WERE JOHN DENVER ENVIRONMENTAL HIPPIES LIVING ON A FARM IN THE REDWOODS, SANTA CRUZ MTNS. WE PLAYED HIS SONGS ALL THE TIME. 💎 IMAGINE A WORLD THAT LIVED AND LOVED LIKE JOHN. 💔
Thanks, Henry. In 1972, your music gave me back my spiritual sense, and brought back my poetry. And I agree with the interviewer: as you grew older, your voice, unlike many other singers, did become richer, sweeter.
Getting to know him a little bit in this interview, it doesn't surprise me a bit that his memory is photographic, his attention to detail is spot-on and absolutely methodical and he tells stories from decades ago as if they were yesterday in perfect chronological order. All of the greats or most of them at least, seem to share these traits.
The guy was a genius, decades ahead if us all in realizing what lay ahead in terms of the environment and future political dangers worldwide. Look across the planet today and consider the futile and immature leadership we now have. If we'd have listened to John Denver back then today's world would have been an amazing place to live. Sadly, we didn't and look at the mess we are in. Ask yourself this: 'What have you done to improve the future potential of humanity?' Come on everybody - wake up!!!!
He was an exceptional human being -- watching footage of his last concert i could see he put on weight and the effects of alcohol abuse and stress -- he still sang like an angel and performed very well but you could see he was struggling with his life -- if he had stayed with Annie his later life would have been far better -- RIP
John was more liberal than conservative but he really did not fit either political party....too liberal to be a classic Repubic-an and too liberal to be a proper Demon-crat.....For those who think he would have loathed Trump however....just rememeber that he had a 'very pleasant' dinner in New York City with the Donald back in the day when Trump was in the full swing of things. Then again he liked Jimmy Carter quite a bit and lunched with him and called the Bush family his friends...played horseshoes with Senior Bush who headed the dreaded CIA and is as dark as it gets (just as evil as the Clintons and that says a lot....so I think he just liked people too easily and was too kind to certain other celebrities and infamous characters that I never would walk across the stereet to meet. John was just TOO KIND overall and could be too trusting. ruclips.net/video/tVgQcajshsE/видео.html
Notice how he didnt say writing a song but rather writing your feelings. Maybe you kids should think about the music you listen to. Music is from the heart and i dont think many modern artists could truly say that about much of the vulgar songs/artists today.
I also would rather watch a John Denver movie with George Burns then the garbage porn movies we have today.....its not family friendly at all....I miss respect and dignity ...John had class and charm....those qualities radiated a glow from loving God and his family.....so sad he's gone...😢
Well ... I would 'like' this video ... but I don't want to be #666. Yikes! Just started performing 'Country Roads' with my duo. Goes over every time! Love JD! 😎🎸
Hi guys, i didn't get the name of the band John Denver mentionned as the greatest according to him, can someone write it down for me please? Thank you in advance!

Why is it we all miss him soooo much. I now cry thru his songs knowing what we lost!

His songs have stirred so much in me. I wish Annie would have just toured with him. He had so much love.
I can listen to this phenomenal human being for hours ! I love the way he thinks and speaks !! ~♡♡♡♡So handsome. ..sigh ~♡Miss you JD ~♡
My thoughts exactly, Karen.
Karen Ryan A great man ahead of his time.
You are right he was talented and hot. RIP John
He was more than a singer, songwriter, actor (watch Foxfire), and humanitarian.
John was literally the most perfect person on the planet. He’s one of those people who you could sit down with and talk with for a whole day.
Such a noble, caring compassionate soul he was. His music reminds us how loving and caring we should always be toward all life on earth. 😌💜
I think about all the songs he would have written that we didn't get to hear
Yes! :'(

John had a unique look, speaking voice, and singing voice.
I saw John 5 times and we shouted out to him we love you John and he said back to us I love you too. Amazing man!

Johns song... Im sorry for the way things are in China, Im sorry things aint what they use to be. Prophetic words in 2020 covid 19 times.
I agree 👍 it's profound how on point he was in his songs

I love that I can feel his music as much as I hear it. Makes me thankful to be alive. Always.🌞

He lives on through his music love him ♥️🌟♥️🥰
Imagine John Denver being the President of the US. The world would be a married place
John Denver was a conservative. He would understand that Trump is trying to fix the broken.
@@EM-fi2qg John was liberal
@@EM-fi2qg No he was not, not by any means. He would be APPALLED by Trump.

Such a great clip I’m posting this on my Facebook page! #JD4Life
Timeless.
Nowadays singers don't have anything to do with bringing people together. All they want is cash.
if you say so lol
Yep
And those who started with the best intentions, end up being sucked into that world
So true
2023 still relevant
Applause.
I lived in Irvine..beautiful.
💎💜💜💜💎
Wonder what he would have to say about things today.
Nice!
I wish John would have become president.
cant believe im not on any part of that world at that time

After Elvis died in 1977... JD hired many of Elvis's former musicians 🎶!😊
Spot on about the politics taking over our right's.
HE WASNT BORN IN WEST VIRGINIA
Dag Wood. John Denver was born in New Mexico in 1943
Almost heaven...
"Too often politics is running our lives" .you should see now in 2023 politics is our lives.
This feels like an infomercial.
What sounds like could have been a troubled life, he turned those feelings into music? That's what I'm getting.
Im new is he still alive?
mansour ndiaye John Denver died 10/12/97, doing one of the things he loved the most: Flying.
Cary Chrysler all his bags were packed 🤷🏻♂️
@4:20 (oddly enough) - "We're both Canadians..."
13 years old and in the 9th grade
I was 13 in 9th
@6:09 re: Georiga Guidestones. Too much population. System error!
Wait so this guy never lived in West Virginia what the actual
He couldn't have lived everywhere he sang about.
+Lewistown fight Club So, you think every song every singer sings or writes is autobiographical, or were you kidding? :)
More likely that he visited and drew from that for his song(s).
or maybe written by a couple of very talented fellow musicians...might be worth looking into writing credits :)
Due to severe overplay by radio stations, he became a parody of himself.
