I think this was almost as much of an open secret as Jason Momoa playing Lobo... Gunn got to cast her early, after all, when Supergirl didn't even have a director yet, unlike Hal Jordan and John Stewart who were cast by the Lanterns showrunners.
I imagine Lobo is only a cameo in Supergirl because he’s being played by Mamoa, who’s still recognized as Aquaman. Playing a totally different character within the same DC universe. And yes I know it’s the DCU and not the DCEU, but it’s still DC and WB DC at that! Anyway, the premise for the movie sounds good. I watched the original Supergirl movie in the theater back in the 80s…it wasn’t great. While the first couple of seasons of the CW Supergirl were quite good, the rest not so much. I also feel bad for the actress who played Supergirl in The Flash movie. She had a lot of potential going forward as a great Supergirl I reckon, if they hadn’t killed her off in the movie and if the DCEU had continued… I hope it wasn’t a death knell to her young career. She really got screwed there, as did many of the DCEU actors…Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Zachary Levi, Henry Cavill etc…only Mamoa seems to have survived, but as a different character! DC movies seem to ruin careers, it’s like a curse or something. I hope Gunn’s DCU changes that, but I’m still skeptical that it will. DC fans have also been burned too many times as well.
Superman Act 1: The Fire-Breathing Threat The film begins with Superman battling Pyronax, a Kryptonian bio-weapon reactivated by Simon Stagg of Stagg Industries. Pyronax’s fiery rampage through Metropolis leaves the city in ruins, and Superman’s solar flare ability destroys the creature but temporarily depletes his powers. In the aftermath, Superman, exhausted and bloodied, collapses in the snow. This vulnerability sparks fear and doubt among the public, leading many to question if Superman is truly a protector-or a threat. Act 2: Lex Luthor, Ultraman, and Public Distrust As Superman recovers, Lex Luthor capitalizes on the devastation, manipulating public sentiment against Superman. Luthor aligns with Ultraman, a cruel and power-hungry version of Superman from a parallel Earth. Ultraman’s arrival is heralded as a beacon of “true protection,” and he frames Superman for the destruction caused by Pyronax. The Glowing Flying Object In the midst of this turmoil, a mysterious glowing object is seen hovering outside Superman’s apartment. This object is a Kryptonian probe, sent by Ultraman. The probe serves two purposes: Surveillance: It monitors Superman’s activities, gathering data to exploit his weaknesses. A Warning: It projects a holographic message from Ultraman, taunting Superman with claims that his failure as Earth’s protector will soon be evident, and that Ultraman will replace him. The eerie, glowing presence heightens the tension, symbolizing the looming threat of Ultraman’s domination. Act 3: The Formation of the Team With Superman’s reputation in tatters, his allies step forward to support him: Mr. Terrific (Michael Holt): A genius inventor, he uncovers the connection between Pyronax, Ultraman, and Stagg Industries. Using his T-Spheres, he helps Superman gather evidence to clear his name. Green Lantern (Guy Gardner): Initially skeptical of Superman’s innocence, Guy reluctantly joins the fight after witnessing Ultraman’s true brutality. His Green Lantern ring provides a powerful counter to Ultraman’s Kryptonian strength. Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders): A fierce warrior with a deep sense of justice, Hawkgirl uses her Nth metal mace to combat Ultraman’s forces and provide key aerial support. The team investigates Stagg Industries, uncovering that Simon Stagg, under Luthor’s influence, reactivated Pyronax to destabilize Superman. Stagg hoped to profit from Luthor’s anti-Superman technology but underestimated Pyronax’s destructive power. Act 4: Superman’s Arrest and Ultraman’s Rise As seen in the trailer, Superman is arrested after Ultraman manipulates events to frame him for Pyronax’s rampage. The glowing probe outside his apartment is later revealed to have planted false evidence, further incriminating him. Luthor spins the narrative, portraying Ultraman as the hero Earth truly needs. While Superman is imprisoned, the team-led by Mr. Terrific-works tirelessly to free him. Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) makes a cameo, revealing the truth about Krypton’s bio-weapons program and urging the heroes to stop Ultraman before he uses the Kryptonian artifact to enslave humanity. Act 5 :The Final Battle The climactic showdown occurs in Metropolis, where Ultraman activates the Kryptonian artifact to amplify his powers and establish himself as Earth’s ruler. Superman, newly freed and reinvigorated, leads the charge alongside his allies: Mr. Terrific uses his intellect and T-Spheres to disable Ultraman’s technological defenses. Green Lantern creates constructs to shield civilians and engage Ultraman in direct combat. Hawkgirl delivers powerful aerial strikes, her Nth metal mace disrupting Ultraman’s Kryptonian energy field. Superman confronts Ultraman directly, embodying hope and resilience. Their battle is both physical and ideological, with Superman emphasizing that true strength lies in protecting, not controlling. Krypto also plays a key role, protecting civilians and helping Mr. Terrific disable the Kryptonian probe that had been amplifying Ultraman’s power. Act 6: Hope Restored In the aftermath, the truth is revealed: Luthor’s manipulation, Stagg’s experiments, and Ultraman’s deceit are exposed to the public. Superman delivers a heartfelt speech, reminding humanity that while he may not be perfect, his commitment to protecting Earth is unwavering. The team disbands, but their bond is solidified: Mr. Terrific vows to continue investigating alien threats. Green Lantern gains newfound respect for Superman, leaving with a humorous yet heartfelt remark. Hawkgirl hints at returning to Metropolis when Earth needs her again. Krypto, now a celebrated hero, becomes a symbol of loyalty and hope. Supergirl’s cameo ends with her watching from a distance, suggesting a larger role in future stories.
I can't wait to see this new super girl movie 🍿🎥 as well as Superman new legacy but I still missed Melissa Benoist as Supergirl maybe she play super girls mom or superwoman well you never know with the cast choosing.
If she is in the movie, not the post credit. I'm thinking she leaves Earth due to the destruction the Fortress, and attempts to get Superman to go with her because Earth is not his world, but course he doesn't.
Melissa as Supergirl was good in my opinion. Maybe not incredibly awesome (due to other elements in the show) but she was a very solid Supergirl. She was very positive and inspiring with the direction they went with the character in the show. I think her Supergirl was tastefully done. Was the show the greatest? Maybe not, but it was not unwatchable. It was a solid show for me. A 3 out of 5.
@@KIDSOUL777 I think she was okay in the beginning. I'll be generous and say it might have been the direction. She did a lot of 'mugging' for the camera, imo, which wasn't' necessary. But... it was CW.
"Hi, I'm Milly Alcock I play-SUPERGIRL" got me 😂
Chris deserves more subscribers!!!
I like his coverage and editing. dude puts in work. the Snyder bros were a bit toxic so I'm happy to have him back
@ he really is the best in the DC game to be doing it. Fun. Energetic. Passionate.

it was obvious and i think even said by james gunn she will have a cameo in superman first
Hype hype hype 💙❤️🧡
This will be not the first look at krypton. Why? Because of the serie named krypton.
Gotta say its a bummer Jason will only have a cameo in Supergirl. I was hoping he would be a supporting villain in the movie.
OH EM GEE!!!!!
Hopefully we get lots of Popeyes chicken like in the original movie

Why not both ?

I just hope they do the quirky tomgirl Kara Kent Supergirl cause I am so sick of the Supervictimegirl 🙄
