I had a black fancy tiger end up in the Congo puffer tank underneath my shrimp rack. Threw me off for a sec like how in the hell. Also had orange eye blue tigers end up in another shrimp tank across the fish room. I'm thinking maybe I moved a plant with one on it, But I think I would have noticed. I may come home to them raiding the fridge one day, wouldn't surprise me.

Having a lid on your aquarium really helps keep the heat in too. You have the heat of the light getting trapped in there greenhouse style and the heat the heater produces stays in the tank better instead of dissipating right out of the uncovered top. It saves a bit of energy because your heater isn’t turning on near as often. It is very helpful if you heat your house differently during day/night or while you are home vs when you aren’t. My home in winter is 67F daytime, dropping to 55F night. Keeping that lid on makes a huge difference in temperature stability in my tank.

Juts added my first occupants to my new 10 gallon nano tank. My hub is an experienced aquarist, he has a very large saltwater tank. I wanted to try a nano tank. I’m hoping to order some Pygmy Cory’s from you. I got 6 rasbora today.
