  • The INSANE Truth About Real Madrid
    Real Madrid’s shift from the Galactico approach to youth recruitment highlights a strategic adaptation to evolving market dynamics and heightened competition. Traditionally known for acquiring high-profile stars, the club now focuses on nurturing young talents. This transition not only addresses the rising costs of established players but also ensures a sustainable future by developing homegrown prospects. By investing in youth academies and scouting promising youngsters globally, Real Madrid aims to build a resilient and competitive team. This strategy not only fosters long-term success but also aligns with the modern football landscape, where financial prudence and talent development are paramount.
    Enjoy!

    Luka Jovic was an unfortunate case, the work he needed wasn't given based on the system utilized. He would've thrived in the 442 system ancelotti used last season

    • @iMadrid11
      @iMadrid11 2 месяца назад

      Jovic inability to adapt was his failure. The team plays on a system where Benzema drops back to receive the ball to build up play. Jovic never learned this as an understudy to Benzema. Jovic style of play is too static and central. He stands and waits to receive the ball at the center like a traditional no.9. Which is easy to defend and crowd by defenders.

If it wasn't for corrupt UEFA not abiding by their own FFP rule, the oil clubs wouldn't even be able to compete with Madrid financially. I always think it's funny when people say Calafat discovered player x or y. That's not why he's so good. Every professional club in the world knew all these players as well and they were in every scouting database in existence (fede being the exception here). Where Calafat excels is not 'discovering' young prospects. It's building relationships with them, their families and agents and when they are on the verge of transferring and every club in the world wants them Madrid has a leg up on everyone else.

    As a Madrid fan who's followed them through the threepeat era, I'd like to say that the REAL TEST of Madrid's youth project will start now, from 24/25 season onward. Because the metronome of the system, i.e. Toni Kroos is finally gone, and that'd mean Madrid will be needing a new game controller in the midfield from the young lot. Toni Kroos was a player who was running the whole system from behind, accurately and with emaculate consistency. If we find anyone from the young batch taking up that responsibility, we might get set for the next decade or so. There are some other positions as well in need of reinforcement, like CBs and Carvajal's successor, but settling down with the next metronome would be the epitome of challanges for this RM side..

      @@seankim1165 True that. The fact that Madrid won a couple of UCLs even during the rebuilding period is astonishing, while the attack was unpredictable and the midfield was stable. The unpredictability of the attack has gone even higher up this Season, but the stability and rhythm of the midfield is the burning question now since the big brain doesn’t play football anymore..

      @seankim1165 2 месяца назад

      @@AftabUzzaman-hw6su Yes. An attack is only as strong and frequent as the quality of the midfield. Unless the midfield improves from last season, the attack is gonna get less of the ball despite being more dangerous. I'm hoping Tchoumeni and Jude ups their level this season as progressive passers. That will be a guarantee of success but otherwise it's going to be a Madrid even more reliant on individual moments

    • @AftabUzzaman-hw6su
      @AftabUzzaman-hw6su 2 месяца назад

      @@seankim1165 You're counting on Jude and Tchoua?? I'm more focused on Fede TBH, that guy has been getting trained under Toni to play Toni's role for six years or so! The reality didn’t allow him to play in that role, and we saw Fede playing every role other than that. But if you’ve seen him in the last Copa America, he acted as the game controller for Uruguay, his long passes have improved and he is more comfortable now to use his vision. Him and Tchouameni will be providing the passes and building up the game from the back now I believe, while Jude will play close to the box in a creative role with a bit of freedom. But getting the ball close to the opponent box will depend more on Fede and Tchoua I think, especially Fede since he'll be playing box to box.

    • @seankim1165
      @seankim1165 2 месяца назад

      @@AftabUzzaman-hw6su Valverde has grown over the years and no doubt he could step into that role after the Copa display. I just think workrate/pace/ball carrying abilities are too good to keep him deeper all the time. He's been our X factor for years because he can adapt midgame to push higher or track wingers back in that box to box role. Tchoumeni is our best CDM and it would be ideal for him to be able to push forward rather than play as a pure ball winning midfielder like Casemiro (who would recklessly push forward at times) because we have that defensive contribution from Fede. I believe a front 3 (Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo) is our strongest lineup with Jude playing a bit deeper to help with buildup. But man there are so many combinations with these players, havent even mentioned diaz, guler or camavinga

    Real is like a hedge fund, they produce abolute nothing on their own, just buying stuff and then make the absolute maximum out of it.

      How do they “produce absolutely nothing”. That is objectively incorrect on every front.

      @@joeymonti3913 i cant think of many guys that came from their own youth who had success. even their biggest clublegends like Raul werent from their own camp. Hakimi is probably the best player they produced in the last 25 years.

      @@jimmyjohnson3955What? Raúl was a canterano, just like Guti, Casillas, Carvajal or Nacho.

    • @jimmyjohnson3955

      @@gergerger5888 yeah sure, not all of them are bought in (still...Raul played for Atlético as a junior) but then we have Modric, Kroos, Benzema, Varane, Case, Asensio, Courtois and likewise.
      nothing to be ashamed about it. its not their businessmodel becuase they dont have to grown their players on their own soil.

      @@jimmyjohnson3955 Real Madrid model is excelence, no matter where it comes from. Still, as you have seen, several legendary players are a La Fábrica product, so you cannot say they don't produce "anything". It is like 20% of what they have now (historically much more, around 40-50% until 15 years ago),
      Yes, Raúl played for Atlético as a kid, but Messi played in Argentina too, and nobody says he is not a La Masía player.
      But even if you remove Raúl from the list for whatever reason, I still think that Carvajal, literally the best rightback of all time, and Casillas (one of the top 10 goalkeepers in history, at least at his prime) are two recent examples of canteranos.
      But football did not start in 2010, so you still have lots of XXth and early XXIth century Real Madrid legends like Butragueño, Michel, Camacho, etc.
      Maybe Atlético and Barça academies are better, but La Fábrica still produces some several world class players that play in great LaLiga, Bundesliga or EPL teams and, only if they are the best, in Real Madrid.
      Anyway, look for the 200 best football players right now and count how many of them grew in Real Madrid academy even if they were never debut as Real Madrid first team players.
