Tara says those little knots are called picot pronounced peco. I too have my grandfather’s old Stanley tape measure. They will probably outlast us lol. When you zoomed in on the fine stitches it’s incredible work on the tripple crochet stitches. I have to laugh. As i was typing the tv automatically jumped to the modelship 2183. And by coincidence you said welcome to Winnipeg, isn’t it nice to be back to normal again? 😂 you really couldn’t plan that if you tried lol. These were great videos and Tara n I really enjoyed them. Take care and see you at the model ship.
It had been my intention to make frames for every one of those doilies, but after the first 3, and I was taking so much time on each one, I realized that the task was going to be far too daunting, and I gave up. My daughter has all those doilies now. 😊
I really like the third one--with the tiny stitching. It has 9-fold symmetry in the middle rings and then 8-fold in the lobes. The transition comes with 72 holes/spaces, which makes it easy to count the pattern. I might try recreating the pattern for that one.
Yes, I’d LOVE to have all the patterns as well. I especially like her color work with the variegated crochet thread. In one of the previous videos there was a variegated orange paired with a variegated green that was stunning. I’m currently looking for vintage crochet doily pattern books. 🌟💚
What a great tribute to your grandmother!
Thank you 👍
So excited to frame the pieces I got from my grandma recently, wishing she was still here to see her creations repurposed. 💕 thanks for the tutorial
Good luck with your project 👍
This was so very helpful. I have to frame my Mothers Doilies and this gives me a great idea! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful Cindy! 👍

That’s a great one! I love that one too 👍
That's an amazing doily. The ones I inherited are all more traditional, white and circular or just a more standard oblong.
My daughter has them all now. Thanks for commenting 👍
Beautiful

Oops, spelling error. Best to use acid free paper under the doilie, really makes a difference after several years.
Thanks for that tip Bill. 👍
What type of pins did you use to fasten the doilies to the backing?

What is the tool that you are using to push the pins in with?
I made a special tool from an nail, watch ruclips.net/video/P7b7c9ml6aQ/видео.html
@@roncalverley Now that is one of the more clever things I have seen!!
