Hi Ed! Great part 1. I picked up a couple of water based stains and a water based semi-gloss clear coat; all by Minwax. Since the winter months pretty much exclude outdoor activities for me, I usually pick indoors safe solutions. I think these should be available at most US stores and Amazon. I found mine in Walmart when I was killing time one day while my better half was shopping. The display base for my USS Curtis Wilbur comes from Michael's also; my youngest daughter works there. The hull looks great, btw! Looking forward to next week.
