Those '58 Chevy Impalas sure did have quite the body! Very distinctive look! I love that bright red you used on it! She's definitely ready to burn rubber! Outstanding work Doug!
Awesome! I love your paint color choices. I'd like to get this kit one day. I'm 60 and just getting back into modeling. I'm so glad I found yalls channel. Very good channel. Keep modeling

This model came in the mail today. I can't wait to get started building!! Wish the back seat had been molded separately but I may cut it out, and fill in with Styrene. I might also try to open the trunk. Great build, and review as always

While there was a promo-style annual kit (SMP) of the '58 Impala hardtop in 1958, this kit is the latest re-issue of the AMT Trophy Series kit that debuted in 1963. The kit is almost completely as it was in the original Trophy kit. The box art is a reproduction of the first re-issue of 1966.
I have this kit on order but I'm not sure how I am going to intercept the delivery without my wife seeing me. If you never hear from me again, you know I was busted and am busy pushing up daisies.
Phi;;ip, If you just show her the cool box art - I'm sure she'll understand! Thanks for watching and and sharing. Please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
