Love the 80's NASCAR models
Cool, those are fun!!!!!!!
Those are beautiful i love the older race cars. You and Chuck Poi build the baddest of the bad cars
Love seeing Chuck's builds!! 👍🏁👍
Out of all of the videos of model cars, this is the only one that actually has these kind of models. So, thank you.
Cool, so glad you enjoyed it Michael!!
Think Mark would be proud of all y'all. Nice cars guys!!
👍👍🙂
I wish we had shows like that around here.
Those were all great models.
Yes, very cool models. I'm lucky to be able to go to about 8 shows a year all within 2 hrs or less away.
If that was all one show there couldn't have been enough time to go around and look at the detail that was in those rides awesome builds great video
You are correct. Actually that was numerous shows from a 6 - 7 yr time period. Right when I decided to film/shoot model contests everything got closed down. So someone gave me the idea to do some "best of" subjects. I did manage to get 3 shows on the channel from this yr. 2 in Indiana and 1 in Kentucky. Did you get a chance to check those out? If you do let me know what you think of them, thanks, Tim
I will check them out I'm out of Northern Indiana by Fort Wayne
@@bkmodelcars Oh wow cool.... Did you go to the Freeze Frame model show a couple months ago in Ft. Wayne?
Stop for about 20 minutes and browsed for sale vendors had to work
@@bkmodelcars Cool... I really enjoyed that show! Wasn't planning on putting it on RUclips since I did not film anything. But since I had several pics from my phone and all the model contests were getting cancelled I decided to put something together, and that show is one of them. Let me know what you think about it after you watch it.
Those are some Dam fine builds brother and I just subscribed to your channel
Thank you Shawn, I appreciate it.
@@THROTTLEPOWER you are so welcome my brother
Incredible models!!!
I agree Bill
Cool cars!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Great Video as usual. I have a real soft spot for the early MPC stock cars as I built every one of them as a kid. Want to mention that it is really hard to find the proper size tires for modifieds and sprint cars. The early AMT kits of sprints and modifieds had way to large of tires.
I agree Kevin, the tires were way to large. The early MPC stock cars were great!!!!!!
Great show! Still going back to this video!
Thank you Jim, yes, lots of cool builds!
Wow that's one impressive event. How in the world do you judge that contest. To me they were all top builds. Without a doubt that was a great event. Thank you for sharing. Now I'm going back and watch again.❤😊
Well said! 🙂👍😊 So glad you enjoyed!
Far and above the best dirt track racing car specmines I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.. Thanks for the time you took to upload and share with the world! Great job and awesome work! So cool!
So glad you enjoyed it!!

I know this is one of your older videos but its a Damn good one! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you...... It's one of my favorite vids!
Got you subbed now buddy, looking forward to seeing future videos, nice coverage of the shows, :) 😎 👍
Thank you very much!! I'm in the process of putting together a couple short videos at the model bench as I'm working on the lighting, and it will be good practice. Gotta start somewhere especially since all the model contests have been cancelled for numerous months.
@@THROTTLEPOWER Same here, all of the shows are canceled, who would have thought
Yep, it's rather strange..................
Some great memories in there! Looks like a lot from the old Louisville shows. Nice to see some old Mark Jeffries models in there.
Yes they are, glad you enjoyed it Clay!
So many incredible builders out there!
Yes there are and the builds seem to get better and better every year.
Great camera work! I was really able to see the details. Love old modifieds. Going to build more!
Thank you very much Gary!
I also have a model i purchased around 2009 of the #8 Budweiser Dale Earnhardt JR. that would look good in with the ones in this video.
Yes it would Michael!!!
I hadn't seen this vid before,Tim. My build is driving me round the bend so I can now see how others have slid round too👍😁🍻🍻👍🎅😎Pete 🤓🎅
Oh yes,you have seen it before Pete, you fool, you've already left a comment years ago🤣🤣🤣🤣👍😁🍻🍻🎅😎Pete 🤓🎅
I understand that, as I've done that too in life... 😃👍😉🍻🎅
Just take your time on the build Pete 🏁🏁 It will turn out nice 🙂
@@THROTTLEPOWER I think 8 hrs sanding tyres is just that😭oh for some resin ones😂👍🍻

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed the vid !!!
Thanks For Sharing These Awesome Builds Sir, Ferret Boy Sent Me Over n Now I'm Subbed to Your Channel, have a Blessed Wknd Sir.
Oh well thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed them. With all the model contests and car shows closed down during all this covid stuff, I figured I'd dig into my archives of pictures from model and car shows and put together some "best of" videos. That's how that video and a few others came about Gary.
You've Done an Awesome Job and Speaking For EVERYONE,,, We Appreciate it Brother, looking Forward to More in The Future.
@@garyparker2969 Thank you for the kind words Gary.
You're Very Welcome
Aa-Haa! An older vid I haven't seen yet! Nice pictures and music...some very nice details on most of them, and those decals...where do they find them? Probably custom made just for them.
I have a couple of "warriors" built from scratch...'50's jalopies...lots of fun.
Thanks!
Cool, so glad you enjoyed Mark!!!!!!! 👍👍👍 Love the old Jalopies, that's when racing was racing.
What's your average build time for your models? I wanted to try and build one to match my car, now I find myself looking at them on craigslist.
A couple weeks up to 6 months. Depends on, If I'm going to build it for the shelf or for a contest.
Where can I get some of these kits? I’m struggling to find dirt track late model cars off any kind.
Awesome video. Just subbed you. Jeff sent me over. Ron
Thank you very much Ron! Hope you enjoy the channel.
nice one , thanx
RJ
Thanks RJ, glad you enjoyed!! When are you going to get back to doing vids?
dang , wish I could...can't aFord a new cam.....Google canceled my app from Windows...both yt & fb.....I can still access both to see others tho...they're tryin' to phase us PC Windows users out....Happy Wednesday anyways , Rocking onnn Brother
@@RJDCR Mmmmmm hate to hear that cause I enjoyed your vids RJ!!!
@@THROTTLEPOWER thanx , hopin' for the best here
thanx mang.....
I wish I could find a mid 80s style wedge latemodel asphalt Camaro type body. Like the orange 72 first car in video so I can have a replica of my outlaw superstock asphakt car. I did my body just about identucal to that model on my real racecar 7 years ago and its still running upfront to this day I built it when I was 22 in 30 been racing since 8
Aaaaaaa very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where do you race at?
That's a lot of cool race cars. Great photography 📸 Subbed you back 🏭🐭👍
Thank you.... Those pics were from 6 or so yrs of going to shows. Kinda the best of and/or what pics turned out good enough to use. Looking forward to going to a race track soon. Do you ever go to any race tracks?
@@THROTTLEPOWER yes here In Michigan i go to see NASCAR Racing at M.I.S. it's a great time !
Where did you get the flintstone flyer and the dirt late model. Im a huge dirt race fan and me and my son build models as well
Glad you liked them Gary......They are not my builds, just builds that I have seen at model contests. Sorry, but with any luck maybe someone &/or the builder will see this and give you an answer. In the mean time I'll do some asking around and see if I can get you an answer.
I watch that hpiguys alot
That's cool 👍👍👍👍
Are these kits or diecasts?
Kits
Mike Duvall
👍
I am 50 and I have never really got past just basic model building. never really tried to weather vehicles or wire the engine. I am afraid I will ruin the model worse than just basic paint and assembly.
I hear ya Matt, it can be tricky and challenging pending on what your doing. Many people build their kits "Box Stock" and there is nothing wrong with that. But keep these 3 things in mind.... Practice makes perfect, Have fun and Build for yourself! Are you able to attend any model contests and what do you like to build?
@@THROTTLEPOWER No,I don't have a license or a car
@@THROTTLEPOWER mostly 80's type models like American La France fire trucks, pick ups and cars
@@matt88876 I understand.
@@matt88876 Those are fun to build Matt.
Where can I get them
Most of them are model kits and some with scratch built parts. A few with resin bodies and/or resin nose pieces. Any good hobby shop or an on line store such as Model Roundup. Model Roundup is just one example, there are several out there.
