LOVE HAVING SOMEONE MY AGE THAT CAN HAVE THESE OPEN CONVOS! way to use your platform positively Monica!!!!!
Thank you Hannah!
Positively? Haha funny
Hey Does Plan B help could not out pregnancy
It’s only taboo because there’s very little conversation happening for it. Thank you for opening this up for talks with people. Hope more are informed
I’ve ordered Plan B from PRIME NOW! Yes that’s right... thank you Amazon!! Haha so great, it showed up to my doorstep in Seattle within two hours when I needed it. So for those of you who feel weird or taboo heading into your local drug store and asking for it- this is also an option!
Jessica Peterson self control
Huh? Are you asking if I do this all the time? Because this has happened for me once. Just relaying that it’s an option for those in need of this information.
how much is the price?
Face?
What’s your IG?
I love that your talking about this! just letting everyone know that you can get a plan B at college for free! and it’s the plan B brand not a generic one.
OMG I didnt know this! How?
Planned parenthood also gives them away for free, or a low price depending on your situation!
I took it once. It messed up my period pretty badly but better than a possible pregnancy
Hi, Abrielle W, we’d like to hear more about your experience and encourage you to give us a call at 1‑800‑330‑1271 or visit us at planbonestep.com/contact-us if you’d like to share.
Hell ya to this sponsorship.
lindseyrem heck no
This saved me when the condom broke once before I was able to start birth control. My ex drove me 90 minutes to the nearest walmart(we used to live in a secluded town without 24 hour stores) right after the "accident" and I took it and all was well.
Mind telling the whole story like did you ever get pregnant or?
Did you get pregnant…or?
Yes Monica 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 we need more people willing to actually have these conversations. I’m glad you were able to meet Adrian and get comfortable with having topics such as this.
Thank you! I hope this conversation was helpful for you!
This is awesome. So many girls are uncomfortable to have an open conversation about things like this. So the fact that you can use your platform in this type of positive way is amazing!!
Marisa Ann Beauty They should be uncomfortable because it should be hard to take an easy way out of the consequence of their own action
I’m so grateful for someone who is willing to talk about this! It’s such an important topic
I literally used Plan B for the first time a few nights ago, wow I needed this clarity
Did it work
@@luvmonet_1776 fr did it
What symptoms did it give you
Plan B saved my ass 11 years ago ... so glad you’re bringing awareness on this ! it’s been around a long time but it’s just not talked about.

Marissa ok boomer.
she literally said ONCE 11 years ago
Mind giving a story?
You can get emergency contraceptives at any Kaiser even if you’re not a member. It’s under $20
It is so important for young girls to know this stuff. Thanks for posting!

Love this mature content! This is why you're my fav influencer monica!
Thank you!
Love that you’re talking about this but real talk- get the generic. It’s $10 cheaper
does it really work just as well?
I feel like a video like this should have a pharmacist involved that actually knows how this drug interacts in your body and not someone without a background in pharmaceutical science.
Sincerely, a pharmacy student
As a medical student, I second this!
Ten4Leader maybe you should let medical professionals decide if they think it’s serious enough for a medic to be in the video
@@ten4leader173 It is a common misconception that just because something is OTC means that it is safe. In fact, many medications would not be approved as OTC now as they were years ago due to their increased risks. No, you don't need a pharmacist explaining basic sex ed, but taking a medication that alters your body is not "basic sex ed" and I completely disagree with the fact that it is advertised in this video like a cosmetic product. I am not saying that Plan B should not be OTC; that would make absolutely no sense because it may take a while to get a prescription and seeing a doctor would be another hurdle to jump through. However, I believe you should have a consult with a pharmacist before you buy it so you are aware of certain risks, know what to expect, and how to take it appropriately. Everyone is different based on their medication history, family history, and medical history, and these things should be taken into account. I am not trying to say Monica did a bad thing by creating this video, I am simply saying that we have so much access to pharmacists and providers. Why don't we utilize their knowledge in videos instead of making advertisements for Plan B companies? That way we can have not only the benefits but also the risks associated with these medications.
@@Anna-op6bk Pharmacy Interns are medical professionals
@@ten4leader173 And for your information, the nursing field is highly respected and they also learn about medications. No, they don't diagnose or dispense medications, but they have a lot of patient access and are informed to answer questions and explain the risks and benefits. This was pretty rude of you to say to someone who is just trying to work hard for their degree. And again, as someone who studies everything about these medications, just because they are OTC does not mean they are safe. I urge you to check out some of the risks associated with ibuprofen or acetaminophen and get back to me.
I realize this is a sponsorship but you should have listed the adverse reactions...
Yes, this too. I couldn't easily find them on the Plan B website.
Melinda Johnson, Lilla Rose Independent Stylist adverse reactions are listed on the website under “how it works”. Just read the freaking website.
i am currently not sexually active and i take my birth control regularly so this video doesn't necessarily pertain to me, but i wanted to thank you for talking about this topic! it's a shame how taboo the topic of anything related to pregnancy prevention is in this country. women's bodies should not be politicized and thank you for shedding more light on this product and giving more information to other women!! you badass
Thank you for posting this! It’s 2019 lets educate people!
Julia Susan educate ourselves about killing babies due to lack of self control? Sounds good
Marissa I wouldn’t categorize plan B as baby killing since it’s taken 24-72 hours after sex, didn’t realize babies formed that quickly... “educate yourself”
@@juliasusan9611 Given the fact that conception could realistically happen almost immediately after sex and depending on the person's belief ... yeah it could be considered baby killing.
Hi no one is forcing plan B down your throat if that’s what you believe then to each their own and ignorance is bliss! Just because you don’t believe in something doesn’t mean we take away education and resources from others who do not share the same beliefs as you. Like I said it’s 2019, let’s be open minded. Especially as women we should be empowering one another even if we do not agree with their choices.
@@juliasusan9611 learn to read. I said depending on the person's belief ... not that I think that way.
Birth control stresses me out so much...I’m avoiding it but I need to stop
First of all, LOVE that you are talking about this!! Thank you for tackling taboo subjects like this! I do want to acknowledge that getting Plan B isn’t easy for everyone, because it’s like $50 at Walmart and $25 from planned parenthood, which is a lot of money for some people. I think it’s easy to say that it’s easy to get, if that amount of money isn’t an obstacle for you, but it is for some people, and it should be more affordable.
Especially for teenagers with no steady income
Hi Monica. I see there are some people thumbs downing this video or saying "Unsubscribing". Not that you need to hear this from me, and not saying that you're thinking this way, but, please don't let this hinder you from posting open conversational content like this in the future. You're a badass for putting this video out there. This should be more of a topic of conversation for women and not seen as taboo (as society likes to see it). So, thank you. You are awesome.
yasss girl! i appreciate that you're talking about this! there's nothing wrong with taking it! i've had to take it before, and to be honest, it can be a very nerve-wracking experience!
What’s your IG?
Yes Monica👏🏻 So glad you're willing and open to talking about important subjects!
love this monica!! So awesome that somebody with a platform is willing to have this conversation. much love.
I love how your educating your audience. You rock Monica!!!
I really loved that you guys talked about this! Birth control and plan b are so important to know of. There is always a chance that your birth control method fails and getting a plan b quickly is super important in preventing an unwanted pregnancy
I don't even care that this is a bit of an ad, really important message. Keep doing what you're doing Monica
My first time I've had to use plan B was when I went traveling to Brazil by myself. I had to go into the pharmacy and I was dreading it cuz they don't speak English and everything was in Portuguese and my using Google translate and just trying to awkwardly explain my situation they knew right away what I wanted and it actually wasn't that hard of a situation
The sponsorship we all strive for
I don’t think we should strive to partner with a company that kills millions of babies every year
It Doesn’t. It prevents it from happening
I work for a pharmaceutical company and just in case you guys wanted to know the price of Plan B, it's $50 (I'm sorry Monica but I watched the video and you forgot to mention the price ☹️)
Thank you so much for raising awareness about women’s options. This is so important
I absolutely love that you're partnering with Plan B again!!! This is such an important message and you're the perfect person to tell it. You make it seem much more normal and less scary
Its also like 50+ dollars in CA but at planned parenthood its free FYI
On another note, you are looking absolutely gorgeous and glowing 😍
Thank you for talking about birth control (Plan B). People need information.
Where’s the discount code though?
It is so nice that you are talking about this!! Always remember to read the information that is provided to you by the company with the medication if you take it. Monica's video is for opening up the conversation, the details about how it will impact you and your body are personal. The information sheet covers any risks associated, efficiency, and all of that stuff. :)
I took it for the first time today...
Did it help?
Nicholas Richardson I’m not pregnant 😅
What were your side effects?
Lauren C I didn’t have any really
Lauren C maybe just irregular period
Hey does Plan B works
Love that you are breaking negative stigmas with this subject!
Amazing video. Thank you Monica for taking about this
This shit messed me up in my teen years because i was too stupid to know how to protect my self well then i couldn’t have kids till i was 27. I hope todays girls are smarter!
Like I said in this video, and in my birth control video, it is so so important to have a plan A, thats why I want to talk about these things, and make girls feel comfortable and INFORMED about all of their options! And Plan B should only be used in an emergency, if your plan A fails.
Monica Church i sooo agree!!! ❤️

I just took plan b and I’m so scared :( I’m only 16
Update
Omg thank you so much this video clears a lot of things up. Shit I was about to be a dad at 16 🙏🏽
Thank god for Plan B, I’ve had to take it twice (before I got my IUD), the first time I ever had sex, the condom broke and another time without using a condom (EeeeKk, never again), got an IUD but thanks to Plan B never ended up pregnant!
I had unprotected sex the 7th and I took plan b 2 hours later, on the 9th i decided to take another plan b, on the 15th I started bleeding a little with brown discharge, on the 16th it my bleeding became a little heavier and today its a little lighter then yesterday but still with brown discharge, but my period is supposed to start on October 1st, it's also my first time using plan b so I'm scared and stressing out because I don't know if it's the plan b or implantation bleeding, what do I do?
Plan B is a large dose of birth control, which means taking like that can, and probably the cause, of ur sporadic break through bleeding.
What happens if I take plan b after 72 hours do I still get pregnant??? I took it after 72 hours
hi there, my partner and I are planning on him not having to pull out just for us to try it this weekend, however I am not on the pill so, eg, can I take the plan b before hand like on a Friday and then be worry free the rest of the weekend OR is that not safe and I should take the plan b pill every day for that weekend
Neither, this is for emergencies and can really cause hormone swings. It also looses effectiveness if ur over 160lbs. And most of all, u should always use a condom, ur BF can still give you STDs...
This information is really useful ! Nobody talk about this ! Thanks for it.
First time taking one and the whole month I was like " huh maybe it didn’t work and I’m pregnant ” lol
If you bled after you took it then you aren’t pregnant.
thank you for talking about this
👏👏👏👏👏👏 finally someone who actually talks about this stuff!
Don't let the haterz stop you from being such a great influencer!
My plan b didn’t come in a package like that. Is it safe?
In Dutch we call it "the morning after pil"
That is what I have always called it too.
In Turkish too
I really needed to hear that from 4:10 - 5:18
Lady that checked me out walked to another register, TOOK IT WITH HER, and some lady looked at me like “Why tf do you need that” and I cried
I know I'm late. But she should have been fired.
@@n.j8242 yes 🥺

i’ve used this so many times and here i am, 23 and with no kids.
pregnancy scares lol we like this video
Yes monicam break that barrier bish. This shit is so important for young women and girls to learn about these kind of things that are not necessarily taught to them in school or by their parents. It's honestly great that you, probably someone who a lot of young women respect and look up to, are the one sharing this. You go girl. Also still here, still in seattle, still a videographer. hmu :)
Thank u for talking about this
Thank you for watching!
THANK YOU for having this important conversation. Title X is under attack in America, so, learning about the benefits of these medications is SO IMPORTANT.
Wait I love this video thank you so much for breaking down the stigma around birth control
yesss let's end the stigma around plan-b.
Lol this reminded me to take my birth control ahha.
This ain’t the music video 💀
PLAN B ONE STEP
also, my college offered generic at the pharmacy on campus for $12!!!! check out and see if your school has the same deal (I actually bought a pack and brought it along for spring break with a group of girls and somebody in our group needed it! was great to have around for prevention!)
Thank you for this. :)
love this as a way to use your platform... def subscribed
Monica, please educate yourself on the pork industry. They are awful. Not surprising that they convinced you to dedicate an entire blog to them -- they are so persuasive. You don't need pork in your life and you certainly don't need to be promoting the pork industry.
Plan B failed for me... just gave birth to my son 2 weeks ago
Liz K it’s not 100%
No contraceptive is 100%. I have taken it 4 times and the other 3 times it worked perfectly. I was just stating that this last time it didn't work for me.
Liz K I mean I’m sure the baby is cute. And you’re right it’s not 100% and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t
You were probably already ovulating. It doesn’t work if you’re already ovulating.
Liz K name him plan c? I’m jk
Lmao is this the first plan b influencer sponsorship???
The side effects are a long time nightmare.. welcome hair loss, acne, depression, terrible leg cramps.

haha NO I promise I am not!
Why are you guys avoiding using the word sex??? 🙄

Glad to see your parents didn’t think the same way.
You should do an ad for Trojan now
Please help me out!!! I was ovulating on 3/12 and i have unprotected sex on 3/14. That's mean 2 days after ovulating and i took plan b one step after unprotected sex 40 minutes. I am scared right now. Can someone explain for me. Does someone have the same situation
Are you pregnant?
:( u probably have a kid now huh? Hopefully not. Plan b is to delay ovulation, so it wouldn't be good for during ovulation, especially if u had 2 days worth of positive ovulation tests.
Thank you Monica ❤️
Amazing Video i enjoy very cool Love it you are so pretty
I’m glad we are having more open conversations about birth control but I’m disappointed that they didn’t mention that plan b does not work at all for women who weigh more than 175 pounds and becomes less effective if you weigh more than 165.
